to start off with jinri's appearance, she's renown for having a smooth and clear complexion which holds a healthy glow despite being rather pale. she is complimented for her natural beauty on her face from her plump and kissable, pink lips to the small peach tint at her cheeks and her doll-like eyes. it's not so often she would go bare-faced despite being praised for it although she likes to keep her facial look simplistic with added touches of make-up to let her look 'less-dead and more alive'. jinri has no other piercings other than both of her ears, no tattoos which can be recognised by even the closest glimpse— although she has a small birthmark at her left wrist which you can make out as a small heart-like shape. her physique is slim and debonair, like an idol's if it was compared, and that's because of the fact she enjoys spending her time doing physical activities like camping during her holidays or free time. she may be classified as underweight from her bmi although there aren't many people who question or know of it because the girl has quite the 'large' apetite and is sincerely passionate about her food. her hair color ocasionally changes from time to time and she usually and currently has it at a short length, just above her shoulders. the shades she likes to dye her hair is an auburn tone or a natural dark ( or not ) chocolate brown as well as a jet black. she likes to change it up even though she usually just leaves it out and open for e.g: curling, straightening, waving, small braids etc. this still gives her a youthful image to those who meet her and hence she is compared to a baby at times because of her looks, it even took her a while before convincing the elders that she was actually legal to do certain things! so she sighs at the unfortunate disadvantages but at least she'll hang onto her adolescence for a while longer. not to mention the fact she can be quite the persuasive person when it comes to getting things her way. she's quite like the 'stereotyped' asian girls looks wise. she dislikes tanning even the slighest bit and getting scars around her body or pimples, but thankfully enough she has her skincare products to save the day when she needs it most.

jinri's style leans more into the summery and spring season other than the cold periods of time. her collection is filled with a vibrant variety of pastel and light colours with a small amount of dull tones in it. despite this, she also enjoys and loves to wear floral, stripe, dotted etc patterns at times too, she's the type of person who takes good care of her looks and tries to keep a fashionable reputation with her from whatever she's wearing. jinri won't lie at the fact she indeed loves to wear skirts, shorts and dresses like your typical 'girly-girl' and she may not so acknowledge it, but it shows off her milky, long legs which is considered quite the trend from what she hears from others. even at the coldest or horrible of weathers, she would wear them if she wishes and feels like it which is usually always. although the girl would occasionally wear her pairs of jeans and favourite khakis at times as well, since she takes interest in hollister and gap bottom wear after all. she wears comfortable and easy to walk in shoewear, due to her height she often doesn't feel the need to wear extremely high heels or boots. flats or a nice pair of cute sandals would usually do the trick and she'd often add in wedges and vans ( for really casual outings ) in there as well and she has nearly size 7 feet, so sasquatch problems. even though she isn't the richest out there, she still often makes the big effort to do style findings as she wanders through shops and places to create a more affordable but vogue look. you would usually see her with a bright and vivid shoulder bag or handbag but a backpack wouldn't hurt occasionally if she has a lot of packing to do for a scheduled trip. loose clothings like sweaters and jumpers are her best friends and that's because they're efficient to move around and— they're really warm during the more colder seasons to snuggle up in if you know what i mean. if she's at the residence, she'll still often wear summery clothing, a two piece outfit most of the time with a pretty shirt and matching shorts because she likes to stay coordinated and some comfy socks to keep her feet warm if the heater doesn't manage to turn on. formal attires are usually elegant and still guarantees to show a sophistication and youth to it, and her style icons involve miranda kerr, (choi jinri) im yoona and seo joohyun. now that's where she'll spend 'real' money for designer brands, because you gotta dress to impress as they say. some people often critique her style because she often dresses 'up' a lot when she doesn't need to be looking so formal or if she's going to a big event. but jinri doesn't really take it personally and shrugs it off, it's not like she's the only one in the world right?

PERSONALITY:
meet the jovial miss chae jinri, at your service and the girl is no joke and you may possibly think of her to be an official member in some sort of welcoming committee around campus, when she's just rather friendly in general to others. she'll never gain all hearts and friends out there although she'll receive that decent respect which she looks for in whatever relationship she has with someone...most of the time. she's renown to be the approachable type who you could talk to when you're in need of help, she won't be able to answer and help out all the time with whatever situation you may have but she'll surely try and hence she's quite the likable character from most people's perspectives that she's encountered with. not only that, but she's quite the venturesome girl who enjoys surprisingly taking bold risks and challenges like bungee jumping and doing extreme sports, call her crazy that it could possibly kill her, but she goes by the almighty #yolo whilst she's still young and in shape to do daring activities such as these. she would tend to argue and state her opinions aloud too if it meant getting to be heard and make a change, we all have a right to speak after all. with this, comes her very own charm to become that charismatic being during social events and other "speech" related topics, there's an admiration in her for her knowledge and intriguing answers, her looks go into that factor as well. jinri could blurt out and share many stories in her life and make it interesting, for example what she had for breakfast in the morning and her journey to the university, which enlightens her listeners greatly and lets them look forward to another. another thing about her is that she's— if you haven't noticed by now, full of positive energy and a creative flow, maybe not for everything but most of the time she's usually that cheerful pill to your sickening day. those who know her don't really remember the last time they've seen her frown or even cry so whoever brings her to do so must be one inconsiderate and vile person, but she'll mask it if she has to. to be lenient has always been something which jinri has possessed for a while and despite whatever hardship and situation comes into action, she has the patience to take some good breaths and move on to keep composed. she has a good tolerance, better than most people but it usually depends on the situation she manages to get herself involved in, either way she's usually a really forgiving person to give others chances for their wrong. please do remember, she's not perfect so once those chances are up, expect that affable girl to change for you.
okay so you may have an idea that jinri's quite the 'friendly and never gets hated on' type, but those certain traits of hers would often annoy others alongside her other ones together, she was always ambitious to know every single thing about the people and topics she was interested in. she would question many theories and events which could sometimes lead to trouble or good reasoning. she always has a burning desire to be the 'determined' type to succeed and satisfy others which yes, is a good deed to show a good self but she just sometimes doesn't realise when enough is enough and she should just give up. hence her stubborn attitude to certain scenarios and with this, she's a really competitive type too whether it be in subjects or any sport event, giving her the title of "captain chaegi" from her fellow peers, she will not back down and stay back. there's admitting indeed, she will be a sore loser but who honestly wouldn't? even if it's just a little bit of envy. so you've seen her more hardcore and strong behaviour, but what about the more soft parts in her? well it consists of being quite the emotional being, it usually comes from empathetic scenarios and when she watches sad videos and witnesses sad scenes, so the chances of her crying or tearing up at a video on youtube called 'world's saddest video' is a good 90%. jinri is a lenient girl but once all is over with her patience and you've hurt her, this would be considered another time ( which is usually rare ) to see the emotional state of hers, some day that it feels as though you're kicking a "puppy". certainly not least for the neutral traits is definitely her whimsical attitude, jinri has the tendancy to babble random and weird things out, usually things which aren't suitable to what is currently ongoing but only to brighten up the mood since the girl dislikes awkward environments. not only that, but doing silly dances and rolling around on the carpet floor is certainly one of her options in her 'i'm so bored to-do list'.
lastly, the negatives— always bringing the flaws to a person making them "imperfectly perfect" from jinri's perspective. there are certain attributes to the girl which brings forth a hatred in others for the girl. one of them would be the wilful side, she is stubborn but more than most people, headstrong to want things going the way she has intended and not the other, she doesn't mean to be so "one-sided" but the girl just doesn't know that she's being selfish in ideas. it's not just that which is found annoying but the fact that she continuously likes to pry of others and people when she's in an intrigued or bored mood and she just never takes the hint that the person(s) want to be left alone. there's no stopping her once she's gone off to accomplish her mission to retrieve information and answers, the girl's a forceful person. from the "whatcha- doin'?" to "i'm bored, what's up?" she'll try and find varieties of ways to communicate with someone, silence is not the girl's best friend. jinri would ask questions, look into information from other close sources, gradually or quickly taking her time depending if there's a deadline or she's really damn interested in the personal and significant details. but no worries, she doesn't gossip although using information for the sake of having a good time or to let them tolerate her ( c oughs blackmail ) was an exception. chae jinri was always demanding for her favours and she would use every persuasive tactic in her brain to make sure what she wants is done and done well at that. she needs closure and being insistent is the only way she'll be able to continue her goals even though it is disapproved by others or her victim(s). being at the young adult age of 20, there is expectance from everyone that a girl her age would act more mature and serious... well that's not really the case with chae jinri as she has the inner soul of a six year old child so she would often be looked after, even by her more maturer dongsaengs at times! which isn't appropriate but she can't help but drum her fingers and kick at the back of someone else's seat in a public transportation, she can't help to pout and whine when she doesn't get what she wants and she can't help but to become selfish to what she has. an obssessive type is what she's described as being, the jealousy is rather obvious by her actions and there's always a fault with making up with her due to her stubborn ways to stay silent for an apology. but it's only because deep down, she has a strong passion to care for that item/person and she doesn't want to let them go or let them get hurt. so there's still some good intentions towards her obssessive trait.
BACKGROUND :
it all started when newly weds han kyungri and chae jinseok were in jeju isla— wait a minute, hold up! i think we'll need to fast forward this story 9 months later, don't you agree? so as i was saying it was january 18th 1993, when kyungri's mother yelped out in pain as she pushed the young chae jinri from her womb and hell, it was one heck of a labour and jinseok felt light-headed from the clutches and tight grips his wife had let him receive at his hand so roughly. despite this screaming delivery, the young couple was delighted and proud to receive a daughter or a child at that! the family was not poor nor extremely rich but in the very middle as her parents had good-paying jobs alongside significant and useful connections. jinri they could remember was the type of adolescent at the growing age to become determined to try her best to walk or make any movement or speech at all. even if those words were just "meh" all over again, she still tried. as a toddler she was very happy-go-lucky although she was more fragile back then to hurtful words thrown at her so she was quite the cry baby especially when this young boy pushed her off the swing and she scraped her knee. a horrid memory, but she still showed a smile soon after and would have the tendancy to show off her achievements and new items to her fellow peers who were intrigued and fascinated. other that that, at home she would be quite the energetic sunshine, as her parents couldn't really manage to get her to stay still as she continuously fidgeted, especially when it came to medical check-ups and injections, it was rather a scary experience. there was always a loud side to her that she made good friends quite easily and stuck to a small but close bunch who don't all keep in contact with her any longer unfortunately as they've moved on, she's moved on to greater things in life and in uni. family life was never to a point of silent dinners and meals, they got along very well and she enjoyed their company despite becoming seriously embarrassed by her parent's "famous" kkab dancing and story telling. she had a really caring persona to her younger brother who was 14 years younger than her and she loves him to bits, maybe she spoilt him a bit too much? but she couldn't care less, he was such an adorable young boy.
being a teenager was surely a struggle though, jinri had to move schools because of her father's new workplace around at seoul national university. sure jinri was going to miss her past life back at her old school and area but she eventually settled down to the idea for the sake of her family's relationship, besides her mother's florist shop was nearby too. but a new school and new people to meet— because she was a newbie, it was hard to fit in with the already made groups of cliques and friendships and so the girl had tried to make friends by joining extra curriculum activities and clubs around the school. there was mathletes and poetry slams, talent shows but she was mostly alone, until one day she was given a reccomendation from her literature teacher and it was for the school's annual newspaper. to be honest, journalism never came into jinri's mind, creative writing was one of her favourites as well as performing but she never thought she had the experience and talent to be in such a group. without hesitation, she took the offer and hence she was to face the members who were surprisingly "alright" from the teacher's words than others who would snicker and walk away from her as she tried to talk to them. jinri wasn't technically the most 'gorgeous and attractive' student out there despite her modish fashion, and so she was looked down upon by certain others except the teachers and some of the soon to-be graduating sunbaes. after a few months, the girl had decided to do something about the situation and decided that when she came back to the school the next term, she was to fit in and look the best she could rather than rushing to do her morning routines before setting out for her journey to education. during the small vacation, she visited the hair salon and used some of her savings for a new wardrobe as well as skincare products and she was set to go. as cliché as it sounds to transform into a new and more aesthetically appealling character, jinri had found this idea from watching the k-dramas online and took a chance on it because it had surprisingly worked out well. people would take her seriously, she'd talk to others and sit with others and she had became known around by some students, even made good friends in the newspaper squad who were indeed a friendly and creative bunch just like her. exams were never a problem despite being such a procrastinator to do the revision and work the day before it's set— but no worries, they're in great standard so the teachers hardly bear to notice. the girl ended up befriending three good friends and had her eye into the journalism field and with the studying came the exams and the results. after many applications to a variety of universities she had her eyes set on one and that was XOXO University which by the way— was for the talented and intelligent of students. but of course prestigious pupils would be first priority and therefore jinri earned herself a scholarship after entering an essay competition held by the uni themselves and had won. all she needed were the grades and after countless revision sessions and note-making, she had received them with her head held high! it turned out to be an amazing last year of highschool.
university life was not a big problem, as promised by her parents— good grades would lead to rewards and so they complied to her wish of an apartment but of course, it was paid with her money as jinri wanted to make it out on her own with independence but taking trips to her family for daily washing up with her dirty clothes was an exception. hey! she already suffered with takeout each night, since she can't cook to save her life... oh poor unfortunate soul. the apartment wasn't the best out there but it was still rather spacious and had all essential variables, what else was there to lose? so she took it and lived in it. during the few months before university started, she had taken a part-time job at a nearby café to help out with her "cooking" if it's not called poisoning hah. this did help out and paid for her monthly rent but it was surely hardwork and as first year started, she had been mind-taken with coursework and projects for her journalism and fashion design major that things were hard to keep up, she just wished for a place which had benefited her with more essentials and appliances, someone to pay alongside her, so she could keep and save some money up. so days passed, to weeks and to a year and her wish was answered as one of her befriended friends who attended the university with her park soomin ( a close cousin of owner park sooyeon ) had called her to tell her about an offer her cousin was making and spreading around to close relatives and friends to pass on to find good candidates. it was a residence at the highly looked upon seongbuk-dong, which was to be shared by twelve girls for a shared rent, her wishes did come true! all appliances and furniture is provided but you must bring your own personal essentials yourself, this was perfect— jinri had to have this and so she agreed to the recommendation and thanks to her connections, had earned herself an interview for the next week.
the interview was quite the thrilling experience and jinri felt nervous yet excited for this role, she was expecting to see many applicants but there were only a few on the day she came, but what made her self-esteem become lower was the fact they looked as though they were on the cover of 'heiress weekly'. to distract herself, she kept calm and so it was eventually her turn and she entered to see a beautiful woman with perfect locks of hair and a formal yet glamorous attire. how she felt like such a commoner but sooyeon was shockingly really nice and welcoming. so what made sooyeon take a glance and want this girl? it was her style and flare, she liked that in the girl. sooyeon was a very fashion-centric heiress who went to many fashion events, whilst her parents being the philanthropists they were, encouraged her to do charity work in that area. so she became more attentive as she heard about her scholarship and how she's the head in the journalism department for the fashion column and media, and so their conversation became more deep. sooyeon felt like trusting her for she admired how she spent the first year of university independently and how she always made sure she paid the rent when asked for. besides she also had many good worded answers from her cousin ( aka jinri's good friend ) about the girl, she liked seeing someone new. the day ended well, but jinri still felt as though she was too talkative and loud— so her confidence of getting the place wasn't so high on the chart. but the next week she had a call from sooyeon as a congratulations and jinri spat out her cereal in happiness... and shock, she squealed and danced around her apartment, that's how much this place meant to her and so, she moved in the next week to meet up with some other girls already there, hence she was the third arrival to the group, and never has she looked over the house opposite until 'they' came back. other than that, she continued with her passion for fashion at the university as well as her journalism and she even quit her job as a part-time waitress and became an intern for 'P&CO' which was sooyeon's fashion label as a worker in the journalism department thanks to sooyeon's kind recommendation. all was perfect in her life, or so she thought...
LIKES :
• pets; jinri has always had a loving for any types of pets, from budgies to puppies— they were like her heaven and she would always have this "baby-like" tone when speaking to them which freaks the others out, but she can't help it. they're just so adorable and jinri has never experienced having a pet before so she would often treat them really well, maybe a bit /too/ well by over-feeding them or giving them loads of presents that they don't need like a huge slide in the hamster cage. whoops!
• summer; what's not to love about it? it's where the summer holidays are and the fun events like sports day and her wardrobe can shine better considering her style consists of summery and spring-like clothing, she loves the beach and everything to with summer. it's her favourite season and time of year!
• rain; despite liking summer, jinri's always grew fond of the rain and weather and the light to heavy sounds it makes against her window pane, dancing and singing in the rain has always been one of her wishes, plus it's romantic too!
• ice cream cake; -insert red velvet here- it's in her top three of favourite foods but this is /her/ dessert and she loves the creamy and cold taste, how it melts into and the texture, everything about it makes her crave for it and she would often be awarded by the members with the cake during her birthday or an important occasion.
• being with friends and family; she like surrounding herself with others because jinri's someone who could easily get bored when she has no one to talk to or be with, it makes her feel more comfortable and happy when there's someone with her no matter the occasion, so she'd ask her friends to accompany her to the ladies' room when needed.
• travelling; thanks to the saved up money she's received alongside her parents' gifts and the internship, she was able to travel and despite the journey, she enjoyed all of it and she loves exploring through new worlds and places to try new things. it's even better when her friends or family come with her and travelling gives her the knowledge of other cultures.
• making someone smile; to make someone smile is an "accomplishment" to jinri and she wants to make sure they'll continue to because there's nothing worse than seeing someone you care about or not in a depressing mood.
• movies; movie marathons, whatever genre ( horror's quite the risk ) jinri will go for it and watching movies from time to time is always a fun experience and it's cool too! her favourites would have to be sci-fi and action ones, although a romcom is always great to watch with your girlfriends and she likes to drag the other girls into her movie marathons from time to time.
• douglas booth; otherwise known as her future husband. her future friend and this girl loves this boy to bits, nuff said.
• plushies; cute items and things always get into jinri's head and she never manages to hate them. plushies are no exception being cute and soft to hug, even use as her crying shoulder — they're extremely comfortable to her, especially from sanrio.
• taking naps; after university and work, jinri loves the feeling to fall onto her bed to take a good nap, just to relieve all the stress or problems stored up into her head. it usually lasts for 2 hours the maximum depending how hard her day was.
DISLIKES :
• insects; if there's one thing which jinri can't stand when she travels or stays at home, is encountering insects and bugs. oh how she detests them with a great passion, she lets out a loud scream when she sees them and it's usually the man of the house ( her dad ) who would kill them as she was a child to this very day. how they crawl and move — just no.
• periods; someone you would not like to encounter with a bloody period is miss chae jinri herself, she turns into a downright diva and a monster and she dislikes the feelings of cramps and niagra falls down 'there'. not to mention how 4D her personality becomes and she starts crying seconds after she smiles, she just gets messed up.
• being rejected; she just can't take 'no' for an answer, and hence her determination and ambition to get what she wants.
• smoking; the smell, the consequences and how it affects a person, jinri just dislikes it very much. she has respect to people but if they have to result to smoking as their last resort to fulfill their happiness then that's when jinri gets pissed. the smell makes her want to suffocate and she's seen young teens do it because of peer pressure, she hopes it'll stop soon.
• crying; jinri thinks that she looks "ugly" when she cries, and that's only one of the reasons. she hates looking frail and weak, she feels that she looks and becomes vulnerable when she does so and she makes sure she hides away when doing so, she hates to have others worry about her, because she's fine, honest.
• gossiping; working in the journalism department, she's encountered many rumors and gossip from co-workers which is 101% false or inacurate till proven. just imagine if it was you who was being spoken about so rudely? so jinri makes sure her reports are truthful and not filled with biased-lies, she usually stays quiet when she accidentally joins into a gossip chat.
• flirts; twirling your hair and looking deep into a boy's orbs and showing off your cleavage is not the way to go— well that's what jinri says anyways, why would they do that? it's sending the wrong message and so she avoids these people.
• the cold; opposite to the warmth, the feeling of coldness rushing through her skin makes her feel uncomfortable and cold. luckily her solutions would include a nice jumper or an overgrown sweater next to the fireplace, which is probably the best thing during the winter time other than christmas time to the girl.
• bad neighbours; blasting music, parties and loud noise of disruption ticks her off, especially when it's during the morning or late at night. pranks and mischief given to her only results to one plan in jinri's mind. revenge!
HOBBIES :
• taking selcas; in her free time, jinri would get her phone out and take some selcas if she's bored and no one will hang out with her. it's fun to save moments in the form of selcas anyways and sometimes the other girls would join is as well so it was all good. whether it be a serious or derpy selca, she'll post it on her sns accounts.
• playing guitar; remember when i stated that jinri performs? well it was with her guitar and she started ever since she was the age of 10 and became quite /the/ guitarist, but she isn't on the last grade. strumming and playing her guitar would usually be at the residence and not in the public since she didn't feel as though she had the 'music' in her to do so.
• reading a good book; "there's nothing better than reading a good book with some bubble tea" is what jinri likes to say, it inspires her to do some more writing and expand her imagination. she's into thg, hp, tmr and divergent a lot.
• sketching; just something the girl likes to do when she's in a tranquil environment, sketching out designs and clothing. although she wouldn't consider herself that artistic to draw real humans, the proportions would probably be really hideous.
• creative writing; from a young age, jinri always found herself going onto the computer or simply writing down short stories, sure it may have not been the best in grammar and punctuation, but the descriptions and plots were well thought out. she writes to this day with improvement and would usually store it into her laptop, no one could read it unless she gave them permission which was very rare. jinri keeps these stories because they're sentimental to her heart.
HABITS :
• sticks her tongue out to eat; no one really understands how the habit came out but she just tends to do it before she engulfs something in , not so 'ladylike' but she doesn't really mind it, it's her eating habit and she doesn't feel the need to change herself. you get a good mouthful of food that way as well — what's not to love?
• puffs her cheek(s); this usually happens often when jinri's annoyed, mad, bored and when she's thinking. she doesn't know why she has to result into doing it but it just feels right to do.
• playfully hits whilst laughing; despite the childish and adorable laugh which jinri possesses, she tends to play pat-a-cake to either hit herself or the person she's laughing with or at, of course she means it to be playful but- damn, it's like being hit purposely as if the person did something wrong and she's in rage mode.
• frequently touches her hair; jinri never twirls her hair although she does frequently touch it just to make sure that everything's in place and that her hair looks presentable, she often tucks the loose strands of her hair in front of hair face or touching her face behind her ear. running her fingers through her hair would be another hair habit, you'd have a large count in total if you counted how many times this girl touches her hair.
FEARS :
• coulrophobia; otherwise known as the fear of clowns, during the age of seven she had a birthday party with one and things didn't turn out well because she watched the film 'it' the day before and went to her parents to hide when she encountered it. the clown was just some middle-aged ahjusshi but she didn't believe it.
• philophobia; even when jinri's heart is racing because of that person, she can't help but feel scared, falling in love wasn't really in her 'life' plans or goals, she's always heard and seen stories of heartbreak and she's afraid of it happening to her. she doesn't want to base her whole self around the relationship and give but get little in return and get dumped, no way.
• pediophobia; plushies are fine, but if she encounters some doll with a history or background, maybe even nothing but just a doll- she'll bawl her eyes out, curse her small interest in watching horror films.

meet the "happy virus" mister park chanyeol, renown for his stylish looks and incredible talents. he's that guy at the back in your class who acts like he doesn't really give a of the lesson and makes jokes and humorous remarks to the teachers and your fellow peers. though somehow, most people find it "attractive and cool" that he's so forward and open to it, but most of the time it's only because they're always discreet to never get noticed. he certainly lives up to his title to make others laugh and smile despite not always being the good humour when it should. but if he knows or sees someone he cares about in a distressed mood then it's usually the case that he would cheer them up and make them smile because he still has a heart you know? even though he doesn't often show it. to add, he's also the charming man which earns him the load of fangirls because of it, from the way he plays his guitar to how he walks into a room as if the wind was perfectly blowing through his silky brunette locks. they say it's how he lightens up the atmosphere in a boring conversation which makes him likable but it's also how he can make someone feel special and flattered just by speaking to them. he allures them and makes them do his will this way as well, as if he was some sort of hypnotist. with this, he also gains respect and that he is worthy as you conclude all the factors of his intelligence, charisma, talent etc altogether and that gives him that "kingka" status with the other exo guys. when he's serious, he's genuine and true, everyone knows of this side and that's how they know when he /really/ wants to be taken seriously like a grown up because he would usually be seen as that fun-loving and chic character around others. chanyeol is also a man of proficient class as he is natually skilled in many things. so he was a highly chosen candidate when it came to leadership positions which he agreed to so he could stop the constant pleads from others, plus it gave him more recognition which is something he liked. at least you could survive on a deserted island with him though! but lastly for these positive traits is his devotion and determination for his aspirations and dreams, he's loyal to his committments and to those he works with and because of this, someone can see through his colder exterior and think "he's not so bad after all".
like stated, chanyeol has quite the cold exterior and he would become a confidential and reserved being. he wouldn't spill the beans about anything personal about him or those he knows about because he dislikes those who invade through his own personal space, they shouldn't be so nosy. so you could pretty much say he's someone who can stay safe from stranger danger and all sorts of interrogation because he's loyal to what information he receives. another thing about him is he's the skeptical character who has doubts over dangerous activities and decisions which would bring regret or injury. he won't be so easily convinced or happy about certain ideas if it means it would bring risk to him or those he cares about. but sometimes he just doesn't understand that there are people in this world who want to take risks and suggest to do perilous decisions which is why this trait isn't so filled with sunshines and rainbows even though it's for good intentions. when you get into an arguement with this icy derpyeol, you could pretty much compare him to jinri for the fact that he dislikes being the first one to say sorry as well and at the same time, he stands his ground and is stubborn to his own opinions and it's difficult to change his mind because of it. another thing about chanyeol is that, despite being the one who hands out the comedic effect and makes his listeners burst into fits of laughter or cries, he will not return the same effect back so easily from someone other than himself. it's a challenge trying to please him as he doesn't show sincere actions unless it's deserved. consider yourself lucky if you manage to crack a smile on his lips from your actions or words.
last but not least, we have the negative traits. as the male is quite the masking type, he misleads many people with faith in him to believe he's all that good and seemingly perfect when that's really not the case. chanyeol could trick many into believing that he is something that he is not and that he is sincere at that very situation, he's usually the one to break it to those victims but he never shows emotion whilst doing so which makes others question whether he really has a heart. what makes things worse is when he does so in such a blunt tone which makes others feel broken. chanyeol doesn't notice that some of the things he blurts out or says to others in whatever vocal expression, is actually too harsh for anyone's liking, but of course he doesn't show his guilt being the stubborn person he is. so if he knows he's doing wrong, then why is it he hasn't stopped it? well simple answer really, no one reacts as though they're affected by it. so he feels as though they'll just get over it the following day which is not always the case. he's also quite the obnoxious type from the influence growing up to receive attention from his fellow students. some people may not so love the attention but this boy does, he smirks at the screaming of his name and how he has fellow supporters right by his side even though he isn't globally famous...yet. chanyeol believes he has what it takes to win over the prize, whatever it may be. besides it's not his fault he drags in the attention, as it comes, quote "naturally". people admire that from him that he is confident and possess the traits of a true performer but sometimes it can get just a "little bit" too much. though his cold side takes a transformation once he has the little green monster in him called jealousy as he becomes quite the cutiepie, but an overprotective one. the boy hates the feeling of jealousy, "what is there to be jealous of?" he questions. chanyeol likes to believe he has happiness even though there are missing gaps inside.
overall, chanyeol may not so give off a welcoming vibe from this description but deep down and behind the cameras, he's a very outgoing guy and a great friend. all you need is to give him a chance and maybe, just maybe he'll open up to you and from there, you'll acknowledge that he's a great person.
( february 7th 2013 ) jinri met chanyeol during her second year of univeristy just a few days after exo's arrival into the lucky avenue residence. this was around the time when the guys didn't become so "innapropriate" yet and so, the girls didn't really know what to expect from them. it was pretty much a normal routine for jinri to go into campus and get into her homeroom which was surprisingly more busier and packed than expected during that day. the girl knew it was rose day and so she had an idea towards why there was so much shuffling about in between rooms, but she was still confused why there were so many in just 'her' homeroom. coming in, she witnessed new faces and one of which caught her attention, he had a light shade of brown to his hair and a tall, masculine figure with pale white skin. *new students* she thought to herself and so she just shrugged it off and approached her seat which was taken by some girl who wasn't even supposed to be in this room. it took her no time to realise why and that was because that same boy was her new "seatmate". so she asked politely whether she could move to which the other responded with a rude scoff and it was only thanks to jinri's high tolerance to y attitudes, she had threatened the other girl innocently with a plastered smile on her face to get off her seat or she'd tell her homeroom teacher about an incident which made the other girl leave the place and room immediately allowing jinri to take back her place. chanyeol beside her cracked a small smile as he heard it, to which his fangirls were so dazed at. then a few minutes later, as the bell rung signalling the start of the day, all the girls had finally left. fortunately, the teacher was late and so, the girl decided to sneak in a quick look as she rested her chin at the palm of her hand to examine his handsome features. what she didn't notice was, whilst she was gazing at him, he sensed her presence and checked to see if he was accurate and he certainly was, jinri suddenly snapped out of her thoughts as she noticed and then did what she only could at the moment, and that was smile. she was expecting the same response but he only glared at her and put on a cold expression to then look away. she faced forward once more and bit her lip *i'm guessing i just blew my chances and he doesn't like me as much, pabo jinri-yah* and that's how chanri's story began...
( april 26th 2013 ) jinri was settled with a task from her journalsim professor to create an interesting topic report of her choice that was to be presented within the next six months, and as she continuously thought of an idea, there seemed to be a limited amount of options. until one day, she had met up with soomin to dicuss about it, and at first jinri asked to do it about her but soomin declined the offer as much as she wanted to help. thankfully enough she had also replied suggesting "didn't you say there was this popular aspiring musician, park chanyeol right?" and the girl had nodded. that's when she clicked her fingers as she understood what soomin was giving away, she was going to do a report about chanyeol and his band! this surely wouldn't be so hard to let him agree to right? wrong. as the month went by, the exo boys had become more loud and annoying as neighbours and the girls didn't appreciate their behaviour. jinri was rather annoyed herself for the fact she couldn't concentrate on her writing and the constant skrillex music playing didn't help either. but this was her shot to impress professor lee so she had to think, taking it under consideration. she had went to the girls to talk about it, to which most of them had agreed to almost straight away. when asked why, they believed it was a great chance for jinri and at the same time, they had faith that they could change the guys and- the ultimate prank of all time, make park chanyeol fall in love with her. the others were worried and suggested other topics, but eventually agreed in one condition; to stay safe. and so after the thought, she had agreed in one condition that she would not do that "prank". it was settled on that day, and so the following one she had went up to chanyeol in the homeroom, reading a book, whilst he was crowded around with girls, as usual.
"chanyeol-si, can i talk to you for a second?" despite receiving some unpleasant stares from the girls surrounding him, jinri couldn't care less, he looked up at her and raised a brow. "please?" she pleaded and with that he nodded. he stood up and the two had went outside to have a private chat, chanyeol was in doubt whether he should have accepted, he knew of the rivalry and disliking of exo and the girls to one another, why would she ask to meet up with him? the atmosphere was awkward between them but as always, jinri flashed a smile upon her lips.
"i was wondering..." she spoke playing with her fingers as she pressed the pads of her index fingers together, chanyeol had furrowed his brows, "if you could do me this favour of being my-"
"no" he responded in a nonchalant tone as he crossed his arms. jinri gulped and looked up at him with a confused expression. he wasn't in the mood of doing favours, especially to the 'enemy'.
"why not?" she questioned, "you didn't even hear what i was about to say" she let out a small 'hmpfh' sound as she puffed her left cheek, *mean much?* she thought releasing a mental sigh.
"i don't need to, because i don't do favours for 'a person' like you, we don't even know each other"
"what do you mean a person like me?-" she imitated his actions and pursed her lips together "but of course, we're friends!" she exclaimed with a jocund nodding in a firm manner.
"no we are not and i have no intention of being your friend, now leave me alone" with that the male turned his back as he was about to make his way to leave, but jinri had clasped her hand onto his wrist to which shrugged off harshly. the girl couldn't take no for an answer as she was in desperate need, so she knelt down and clung onto his leg.
"chanyeol-si, please hear me out!" she yelled which made fellow students look to them, chanyeol gulped knowing that the attention was to him and he didn't want to ruin his 'good' reputation.
"yah" he whispered to the girl as he gazed at her from bellow, loud enough for her to hear "let go of my leg"
"only if you listen to me and do my favour"
"aish" he cursed under his breath before nodding quickly yet hesitantly "fine," he agreed with an unwanting sigh, "i'll do what you want as long as it's nothing to do with 'dating' or 'kissing'"
"really?" she asked changing her pretending cry into a pleased smile, he only nodded and she got up "promise? say it!"
"i-" he looked down in shame for himself "i promise"and so jinri clasped her hands together happily.
"i need you to be my project for my journalism class on the 'road to becoming famous'" she simply stated. "i'll meet up with you during the tuesdays, wednesdays and fridays to discuss and take notes, i'll be like your personal assistant but i won't get you drinks and food, i'm not a maid. although other than that, that's it, we can hang out in the libra-"
"hold up, do i get a say in this?" he asks and she nods. "fine well i want to change that friday, into a saturday because i have gigs around that day and it's my free day to also hang out with the guys, and you must also do favours for me if i so wish to, like getting me refreshments and, you'll call me sir" he finished.
"i think i'll call you channie! i need to get going, i'll see you after school in the home room, bye channie!" as she ruffles his hair, she runs away ignoring chanyeol's scolds and disagreement to the pet name she decided to give. and that's how the plot goes on from there.

INTERACTION :
the relationship between jinri and chanyeol is as if you're mixing hot and cold together, too much of one side can make the outcome too heated or too icy to handle but the right amount when they come together makes it lukewarm and just perfect, it's meant to be. a lot of the time— more like always, jinri would be the one to put most of the effort in to get along with chanyeol and become closer despite his constant critisism and how he always pushes her away. the girl is interested and fascinated with chanyeol's life and dreams, and so she tolerates his cold attitude towards her as she believes that there's more to find out about him other than what he shows in his exterior. it's often the case that she would be following chanyeol around like a lost puppy and number one fangirl and despite not owning up to it, chanyeol has a secret liking to it and he's fond of having her stick by his side. she's different to most girls that he's spoken to, she never tries to flirt with him and never means it intentionally when she uses skinship with him. even if he would insult her or scold her, she smiles and never frowns, unless it was some sort of cute pout. gradually after months their relationship had progressed into that during the months, at first, chanyeol wouldn't even bear to look at her or answer to her questions, only till she had bugged him so much he would answer. till one day when he had seen a side of jinri he had never seen before, and that was her breakdown to cry in front of him because she couldn't take his cold treatment anymore. that was the day chanyeol looked into his actions and promised himself to become more civil with jinri. of course, he had not said sorry but jinri couldn't care less because of his positive change of attitude. and so, after the incident the two went back to normal with the journalism report but chanyeol still made playful insutlting remarks to which jinri shrugged off and just smacked him for it. their relationship had taken a turn into a more civil one and fortunately enough, after those 6 months of pranking, fighting, insulting etc between the two households, things had become better with the two groups as they learned to become civil. although they still had that thing called "friendly competition" which usually turned rather nasty, especially when there was some sort of prize involved.
so with that, the six months for the project was also over and jinri had exceeded with flying colours thanks to the time spent and of course, chanyeol made an effort to see her when he could to congratulate her. the two actually missed hanging out with one another and so, jinri ( as usual ) made the effort to see chanyeol perform and baekhyun especially. that's when chanyeol would meet her and the two would chat, and usually the other girls and guys would join in as well into the conversation. chanyeol would look to see if jinri was listening to his stories and jokes but he saw through her as she was glancing at his bandmate, baekhyun instead. he didn't really feel anything much from it, just annoyed at the fact she wasn't focusing on him like before when she was his personal journalist. so weeks later he started making the effort to visit her instead or message her by text. their conversations were usually filled with teasing and questions, they became closer that way and chanyeol had became more open to her because of it. the two had stopped using formalities with one another since that 'incident' and chanyeol grew onto the name of 'channie'. a spark had emerged through their relationship during new years eve, at the university's countdown gala event. the time felt right and good, and he saw her in a different light— it was as if his heart just skipped a beat and how she smiled and the fireworks lights twinkled in her eyes, he found her breathtaking, all their memories flashed before his eyes and that's when chanyeol realised, he had fallen for his nosy sidekick chae jinri.
since that day, whenever chanyeol had encountered her, he would try and make a quick escape or gesture a hello which would end up with himself getting embarrassed as he bumps into something or someone or trips onto the surface below. jinri would always keep her smile, and she never really thought much about having feelings for chanyeol, and if he did— then woah. she only saw him as a good friend, what would he see in her anyway? he did tell her that she was not his "type". when the two would meet up with each other on the doorstep, they'd wave to one another but something became rather off with chanyeol during the past few days and weeks. he had become... awkward. as if he was a completely new person and he became more dazed into his own fantasies as well, jinri had came to notice that. he would also often get jealous and possessive when he saw her with another man other than himself, call him jealous if you wish to -insert nick jonas here-. so he did all his power to make sure that she would see him in the same light as well, like attempting to make her jealous which triggered some emotion in the girl as she believed that was the reason he was staying away from her. since that day, jinri became more cautious of him and followed him like old times, because she was "worried" and /not/ jealous at all. so the summary of their relationship would mostly be based on the fact they just won't admit that they like the other because they feel as though the other isn't interested. as well as that, they don't want to ruin the relationship they have, because if they can only be "friends" than nothing, they'd choose that over nothing any day.

"DESCRIBE YOURSELF AS A ROOMIE IN THE PARK'S RESIDENCE?"
— deh, well i came third in the household and because of that, i could call dibs with the room which i had decided to receive. there are 6 bedrooms in the house in total and i chose the second largest and i room with ( tba ). well if i'm honest, my side of the room is usually clean and well-kept. but i'm not so organised with my paper work and such, so there's often some sheets of paper and notebooks scattered on my desk- /she places her hand out in reassurance with a relieving expression. but i would always tidy things up during the weekend and i'd also help out with the chores. you know? like the simple ones like emptying the trash, cleaning the dishes and sweeping the floor. i also help my unnies out with setting out the table since i can't cook to save my own life. /elicits a nervous soft chortle from her lips, gesturing a playful thumbs up. other than that, it's all i do. i'm thankful i have the girls by my side because they're kind enough to take care of me and be my back-up when i'm busy elsewhere, vice versa with me doing the chores for them. our rota isn't technically what you call accurate but we all get the work done! that's what really matters right? but i would consider myself as a fun roomie! since i love to sneak food in and have midnight parti- i mean get togethers with the other girls!... coughs don't tell sooyeon-si please.
"WHAT DO YOU DO AS A PART-TIME JOB? AND WHERE CAN WE FIND YOU?"
— i'm actually a fashion journalist- intern of course! for sooyeon-si's growing company 'P&CO'. yes i know it might be surprising, because trust me, i was shocked myself. /nods in a hasty fashion with a look of honesty displayed onto my face. but i was offered the position since sooyeon visited one day and liked my designs- and so, she hired me in! it became my part time job and i love it, i may not have the most secluded and richest of offices and work spaces but i love it anyway. you can find me in either the café we go to, aka the hideout, i'll be where the window view is! or you can find me back in the house, just ask for me! although i'll be out sometimes to myeongdeong to visit my mother's florist shop and—/tries to think of more ideas, puffing her left cheek as she does so, but pauses to look back with a hesitant gaze. that is all... i think?
"DO YOU CONTRIBUTE TO THE PRANKS AND TROUBLESOME BEHAVIOUR BETWEEN BOTH HOUSES?"
— well at first... things didn't lead up to make me become tempted to join in. but then— they started becoming more annoying, very loud and disruptive and it was irritating to hear, especially when i was revising or needing some peaceful times to myself. /emits a disappointing sigh and looks away to avoid eye contact. so i did what i had to, okay?! and so i did contribute to joining in but, i wasn't exactly the leader in charge or person to suggest ideas, i was just... well, me! but you should have seen the look on their faces when we did so, it was so funny, especially when we had bugs involved. ke ke- oh come on, you know that you would enjoy it too! /nudges at your shoulder in a teasing fashion, raising a brow.
"HOW DID YOU KNOW OF THIS POSITION IN THE HOUSE AND WHY DID YOU APPLY FOR IT?"
— it was all to do with my connection honestly, with soomin unnie~ /furrows her brows as she continuous to think of what else to say, flashing a soft smile whilst doing so. i was living at an average apartment around an alright-ish neighbourhood in seoul and soomin knew that i was in need of some extra help, therefore she offered me an opportunity! i, of course had no hesitation to decline the offer as i needed a residence which would benefit me more rather than just living solo and so she made an interview for me the next week. i applied for it because i believed it would benefit me, i paid a lot for my rent in my apartment building and it wasn't even worth it, i wanted to save money up and i believed that it would be a challenge with the eleven other girls, and it's a great chance to gain more friends too! that is still my intention, besides the house is simply divine! /clasps her hands together in a delighted way, curving her lips into a bright grin.
"WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE EXO GUYS WHO LIVE NEXT DOOR?"
— they're quite the 'bunch', aren't they? it seems they really don't have respect or a liking that we live next door, just because of that one night when we had reported them to the police for their loud -/covers realising her wrong doing to curse in front of an interviewer and flashes a smile. i mean disturbing party. it was reasonable though! they're the ones being childish, us girls are doing what we do, and they're partying and holding up events as if they're the owners of the neighbourhood when they're not. but i must admit, they are what you call "talented" and "charming" since they clearly earn the hearts of almost every girl in the school. but i tell you, they're not perfection! nobody is perfect and i'll do everything in my power to make sure they expose themselves, their true selves! not the ones they hide at school, because i will hopefully get them to "change for the better" and not for the worse, that's what i plan on doing. if they dare and try to get rid of us, then as always, we'll result to "friendly competition". we're not evil, we're like the resistance!
