I rarely watch kdrama but here are some that I've watched and my fav :
my love from the star, its okay its love, jungle fish 2 (few years ago), my girlfriend is a gumiho
As for animes i got none to recommend cause I watched like fairy tail and bleach

anyway, here are my recs:

political genre: jumong (the book of three han), queen seon deok, city hunter
medical drama: good doctor!!
drama: 49 days,
romcom: rooftop prince, my love from another star

i recommend jumong and queen seon deok so much. out of almost hundred dramas i've watched, those are really the best!!! it's not just political. it's everything, from comedy to drama to action to romance. everything. i mean it.

or, if you may try a taiwanese drama, try absolute boyfriend. 16 eps, and get ready with your tissues at the end. absolute chanyeol and be human are adapted from that drama.
