What is wrong with some people!

The new blog post in series ''What annoys me as hell''!

As always i'm not offending people i am stating MY opinions on situations how i see them through MY eyes. 

Today's theme is > Comments people give on stories and author response 

Not long time ago i saw a poll where someone asked if they like the comments with ''update fast please'' sentence. Also yesterday i saw one of author i follow posting in AN ( Author's note ) how he/she do NOT want to see such comments...Like i am not commenting those but even if i did i would be offended as a reader. I am author of almost 50 stories and some really succesful so i get comments of course as everyone. And yes, i do get comments with '' update fast'' but i never am angry or annoyed at all.

Why? Some might ask WHY i'm not annoyed with those comments...it's because...Those readers actually CARE! The comment ''update soon'' means that YOUR readers are craving for the next chapter do u understand now dear fellow writers? I LOVE such comments because they are showing me that they CAN'T wait for what will happen next. Instead of HATING such comments why won't u feel happy?! They read your story, they live with your story and they cry with the story! Be thankful for everything u get from them even when its critism! 

So dear readers +comments please don't be afraid and POST such comments with update soon. The author yes have personal lives but with one comment u don't ruin anything. YOU are informing them only about how excited u are. It's on the author if they take it as something offending and hateful. That's THEIR problem not yours dear readers! You are amazing people who we, authors, live for! I LOVE YOU get it? I love your every comment!

Okay this is the end of my rant...It's just really offending from some authors even when they don't mean it that seriously.

Well, I actually like those kind of comments. It makes me feel happy that someone is waiting for me to update and are excited for the update. And I don't consider the people whom comment is 'update soon' lazy. Or don't have life . I myself say it in every story I read and I've got a life and it's pretty busy.
What I meant to say is that when someone say 'update soon' you should be happy cause they lost time reading YOUR story. Cause they love your story.
Anyway, everyone has his own opinion

Thank you, honestly authors getting mad when I say that after writing something like "oh I wonder what will happen next" or "wow you made me cry can't wait" is the reason I don't write comments anymore

Yeah, but leaving a comment like "update fast please" is as lazy as it gets. You CAN interpret it as them saying they "crave more" and that they "can't wait", but you can also interpret it as them using minimal effort to comment, and wanting more content to read only because they're bored and have nothing better to do. Who knows which it is?

But the bottom line is, it's a lazy comment, and people have a right to be upset with it. If authors don't want comments like that, then so what? That's between the author and the readers. The readers can just leave the story anytime they want.

ikr! Being an author, comments mean the most to me and they really make me happy. When someone says update soon, they're obviously saying it cuz they love your story. However I must admit, it get's kind of annoying reading the same comments again without any criticism or comment how they felt (those types of comments obviously help us improve our writing and learn different techniques.) which is maybe why some authors find it irritating. But i just think it's rude when you start ranting at your readers for merely commenting. I've never really said "update soon" but there was a time where the author was like "i won't update the story if i get comments like that" >_< I mean, there are so many silent readers out there that I'd rather have "update soon" rather than nothing at all T~T I personally, rarely get irritated by these types of comments so yh..

I totally feel you! Id rather have them comment please update soon than comment nothing at all.

Yeah I know I do that sometimes, "Update soon" but for me it means Soon as you can or have some time on your hands. I don't want to rush them

Wow! I'm starting to like you more and more. Although I had never asked the author of a story I've read to 'update fast' before, I want to thank you for being so understanding. It annoys me everytime an author threat their readers that they're not going to update the story anymore and even go as far as deleting it if there's even one soul comment on their stories to update fast. I mean, what about those readers who left 'good' comments only? I don't think they deserve those treatments. But then again, what do I know about how an author feels when someone do that. I'm just a reader who would leave a comment, thanking the author for updating their stories.

Thanks for your understanding. Right, as a reader update soon means we really like the story but for me when I said that it doesn't mean the authornim has to update as soon as possible as we want because we readers also understand someone's privacy. It just an alert for authornim to update because the story is so awesome. To show how much we craving for the story. So for all authornims out there don't be mad please~~~ saranghae♡
