Yeah, see, this is the issue. Previously, I would have been all, "HUEHUEHUE OF COURSE YES YOU LOVE ME BBY TELL ME JUST HOW MUCH YOU LOOBBBEEE ME I AM KANYE OF KPOP I AM KPANYE LET YOUR AFFECTIONS RAIN DOWN LIKE WE IN THE THUNDERSTORM BOOM BOOM MOTHERER oh but you ugly so go away bye" but like...since I've been in the other position, and that person rejected me yet kept continuously thanking me for telling them...why would you be "grateful" and want to know if you didn't want to be with them? It seems like more of an inconvenience. 

TLDR: I would only want to know if it would potentially be mutual. I once almost ruined the most important friendship I had forever because of what I felt and knew what would happen. I walked into that coffee shop planning and knowing fully well I would never see that person again if I went through with my confession. Don't confess unless you think you've got a chance and, regardless, are prepared for everything to be ruined irrevocably.
