I was helping Bom in preparing the food for her house warming party. How can she even call this a party when her only guest is me and Donghae.

The moment I stepped into Bom’s house everything was not “Bom-ish” . I have been living with Bom during our college days. Her room will

always be filled with her stuffed toys and everything should be in green. But now everything is different she opted to have a sofa in color

black, a color she hated the most. Her curtains are not those green ones she always have hanged on her window but white ones with laces

on it. Everything that I am currently seeing speaks a lot that I haven’t seen and talked to Bom for a long time.

“Dara!” Bom came to me carrying a girl. She was wearing a pink dress and her hair was in pigtails. She was a replica of Bom. I looked at

Bom and back to the little girl who was trying to free herself from Bom.

“Dara! Good thing you are here already I badly need your help in the kitchen.”

“when I thought you have changed but I guess I am wrong.” I hugged Bom while trying not squash the little girl who was now intently looking

at me.

“Mama who is she?”

“Baby, this is your aunt Dara who I have been telling you. She is my bestfriend.” Bom was talking to the kid as if she was a grown up.

“Why don’t you introduce yourself to your aunt Dara.”

“Annyeong Haseyo, I’m Kim Jenny.” She smiled shyly at me making her look more adorable than ever.

“Annyeong Haseyo to you Jenny I am your aunt Dara.” I smiled at her and patted her head.

Bom was busy preparing food in the kitchen at the same time taking care of Jenny who was going back and forth to get food.

“I never thought that I would see you being like this.”

She turned her attention to me, having that questioning look.

“You know. Being an all around wife and mother. You even learned to cook. This is just not you.”

She sat down next to me while drinking from my glass of wine.

“I know. Until now I can’t believe that I actually gave up my dreams to be a housewife. But you know what I never regretted the day I decided

to become one.”

At that moment the doorbell rang.

“Junsu! Can you please see who is at the door. I’m not yet done with what I’m doing.”

Watching Donghae play with Jenny made Dara to look away from scene that was in front of her. She never doubted that Donghae would be

a good father, no, but the best father. He have always loved children. The smile that he have whenever he is around them always prove that

he wanted one.  A request that Dara doesn’t want to grant.

Flashback:

The two have been married already for two years now. Two years of happy memories with each other. Everything was going the way they

wanted it to be. Dara now a successful lawyer and Donghae a well known heart surgeon. Along with their booming career is their marriage

life that was also in a perfect trail.

One night while the two was getting ready for bed.

“I want to have already a child Dara.”

Dara was stopped with what she was in front of the mirror and walked towards Donghae.

“Hae, we already talked about this. I am not yet ready to have one. Especially now that my career is already at its peak and I am more busier

than I have ever been before, I can’t get pregnant.”

Donghae pulled Dara to sit in his lap and said, “But Dara the only thing that is missing in our lives is a child. I already want my little Haru

running around the house. The house would be a lot more livelier if we would have our cute child bringing laughter in here.”

“Hae, please do understand  that I can’t give you what you want right now.”

As a sign of defeat from his wife’s plead Donghae just nodded and kissed his wife on the lips.

The night was filled with laughter as Bom keeps on r
