Chapter Nine
Reclaiming His Lost Princess“Yes, I am on my way. I just had to finish the meeting with the board,” Sooyoung replies as she fishes for her car keys on her bag. She had just adjourned a meeting with the company board members when she receives the call from one of her cousins to meet her on a restaurant.
When she finally finds the keys, she ends the call and hurries to where her cousin is. When she arrives at the place, she has to marvel at the grandeur of the said restaurant. For someone who’s accustomed to such things; it’s quite new to see a small establishment to exude and have that certain aura wherein you simply admire the beauty of the restaurant from the first glance. It made her wonder if the interior is the same; and her expectations are not failed.
Although it may look small but the lightings and furniture made it look spacious and airy. There are a few tables inside and she can see a few more outside in the garden. Her eyes caught the sight of Siwon sitting near the grand piano.
“Oppa, did I make you wait for long?” she asks right after giving him a kiss in the cheek.
“If you count thirty minutes as a long wait then yes, I had to endure a thirty minutes of self-meditation in here,” Siwon rolls his eyes when she pouted.
“I have to finish the meeting and you know I cannot just leave right away,” she reasons out as the waiter distributes the menu.
“I know,” he chuckles, “So how is the progress of your company?” he asks afterwards.
“We are moving forward to our goal; I just closed a joint project with the Wu Corporations. We are setting the date for the ground breaking right after some more finishing,” she smiles then gives her order.
“That’s good to hear; so when will be the formal engagement? Don’t tell me we have to wait for years more,” Siwon relays his order then turns back to her, “Jinri will be engaged next week,” he added which surprised the female one.
“Jinri? To whom will she be engaged? I didn’t know that,” she blinks back.
“Apparently, Aunt Soonmi and Uncle Jongil had made a truce with the Oh family to end the dispute over that piece of land and it boils down to tying up their children Jinri and Sehun.”
“Aw, that’s so unfair! I should be the first to get engaged than baby Jinri,” Sooyoung pouts.
“Then why don’t you hurry up the process? You two are so immersed on making more money,” Siwon chuckles which annoyed the female one.
All of the sudden, Sooyoung stands up in surprise which made her cousin turn around to see who would elicit such response from his cousin.
There goes the former subject of their talk; Kris Wu walking with another man who seems to be known in the restaurant since the employees keeps bowing when he meets him.
The guy with Kris notices Sooyoung and pulls Kris to meet her.
“Miss Sooyoung! It’s nice to see you here. I hope our service satisfies you,” Xiumin said, the man who introduces himself as the manager and owner of the restaurant bows his head at her.
“You also own this?” Sooyoung asks in disbelief.
“Yeah; I happen to own a handful of coffee shops and restaurant,” he smiles after acknowledging Siwon.
“So, are you two related?” Xiumin points to Siwon.
“Ah, yes. He is my cousin and my knight-in-shining armor when I was still starting in this line of venture,” she smiles.
“Then I hope you enjoy your meal and please don’t hesitate to call any of my staffs if you have any problem with your orders; my friend in here and I have some things to discuss,” then he pulls the silent Kris to leave the two on their own.
