It was frightening, horrifying even. He was trapped in a world of unknown darkness, with the shadows engulfing his being entirely. Where was he? He didn't know. He stood with what seemed like a fork junction in front of him, mind confused and dazed. But he could see it; the two paths that he was given a choice to choose.

A path led to a place that was like a stereotypical heaven, where perfection existed and the pursuit of happiness was possible. It was beautiful, pure and just... perfect.

But the other path led to a place that was darker than the color of ebony black, where everything was broken and nothing seemed right. It was a place where happiness was just a delusion, a hypothetical illusion.

The colossal difference frightened him. But he still made a choice. And of course, with a rationale mind, he would obviously choose the stereotypical heaven.

But was there a price to pay?
