It seems that WARdEN is under more lineup changes in 2016. Despite the re-addition of former member Sumia, it has been revealed that leader and main dancer Nari will be leaving the group despite a comeback scheduled for mid-May.

Earlier today, UouO Media released an official statement regarding Nari's leave. They refered to an unclear "family event" multiple times, citing it as the reason Nari will no longer be promoting with WARdEN and will be leaving the company immediately. They also stated that while the members are "having a hard time" that the comeback will only be pushed a little farther away, to late May instead of mid, in order to redo all the work that has been done regarding the comeback. It is not stated whether or not WARdEN will now promote continue to promote as five member group, or if Nari will be replaced to bring the lineup number back up to six as intended with maknae Cherry's return. Read the statement below:

"Good afternoon. This is UouO Media here to regretfully bring you unfortunate news regarding our girl group WARdEN and it's member Lau Maeri, known by her stage name Nari. Nari has experienced a family event and will no longer be able to promote with WARdEN as their leader or main dancer. The family event was very traumatic to Nari, and so we offered for her to cut her contract with us ahead of schedule. After careful consideration, Nari has chosen to leave not only WARdEN, but UouO Media as well. She has expressed regret that a family event will be taking her away from her dream, but wishes for her fans to stay with WARdEN. She also stated that she wishes the members of WARdEN luck in their career.

After the legal process of ending Nari's contract with us, we will no longer have contact with her or any updates on her situation. Because of this, we wish her the very best of luck. While the members are having a hard time with processing the situation, WARdEN's comeback will only be pushed back from mid-May to late May. As WARdEN was deep into comeback preparations, we have many things that need to be done over. Once again, we apologize for bringing such news. Please continue to support both Nari and WARdEN through these difficult times."

While UouO Media is telling fans that a family situation has caused Nari's leave, the fans are suspicious that UouO Media is instead kicking Nari out from the company. Some are even saying the company is doing this because they're racist again Nari, who is Chinese, but this is being combated with the fact that UouO Media has many foreigner trainees, including a number of Chinese trainees.
