The Lucky One
Description
Tick tock, tick tock, tick tock...the ticking finally stopped. As if nothing in the whole world was moving. No sound. Just emptiness.
Wiping away the last, few final tears off her cheeks; she was still sniffling and lightly sobbing, while staring at her tired self in the bathroom mirror. She had a story to tell with no happy ending. All those fairytale movies were such lies, filled with bull. Prince Charming wasn't going to come and kiss her. She wasn't going to ride off with him and his white horse into the sunset. Instead, she was wiping away all her pain, all of her pain. The pain she had caused to others, the pain others had caused to her, the pain he brought in, the pain she brought out...but mainly, mainly the pain she brought to herself.
