Description

Every Friday at 5:30 am, Hsu En eyes jolts open to darkness with the sound of her alarm ringing in her ears. At 6:00 am, she rides half asleep, past the fenced basketball court half hidden by the recreation building to the ice rink. 6:30 am finds her in her skates and on the ice warming up for her early morning sessions.

Every Friday, she passes the fenced basketball court, obscured by a large everygreen shadowed by the tall building. And every time she sees a tall boy with a basketball, shooting baskets.

Come fall, come winter, come spring and summer, the boy is there every early morning that she passes by. Come cold or rain he is there, same as she is to the rink.

Every twilight, a figure skater and a basketball player.

Every twilight, between the moon and he sun.

She comes with the twilight, for her dreams.

He comes as the twilight, afar and existent – and to her, he seems just as beautiful.
