Never Grow Up

Dreams Come True

"Why are we watching this movie?" she asked, "It's freakin' creepy."

You had to admit, Christen had a point. On your TV screen played Pinocchio. Although it was a Disney classic, and you loved everything Disney, it was pretty dark. Pinocchio had just been brought to Pleasure Island, where all the boys began misbehaving and turning into donkeys. You were almost certain this movie was made to "scare kids straight," as they say. But the animal transformation was nothing compared to that borderline demonic face the guy in charge made when he was telling the Fox and Cat about his evil scheme...

"Because you told me you wanted to watch Pinocchio!" you exclaimed.

Why would she think I chose to watch this movie? This is some demonic ish! That guy's disgusting face and terrifying laughter is going to give me nightmares for weeks...

You hugged your pillow tighter as the scene played out before rolling your head over to face your twin with an unamused face. The both of you were currently on your respective beds. Although you had to share a bedroom with one another, everything was actually pretty decently spaced out.

"No, I said I wanted to watch Teen Wolf," she groaned, rolling her eyes.

"Wow, you sure? I didn't hear you say that," you answered, "If you had we would have watched it. That would be much more enjoyable than this."

You could hear Christen sigh before telling you, "It's fine. Let's just go to sleep. We have a busy day tomorrow."

She sounded really tired as she shifted in her bed. And to be honest you were too. Reaching for the remote, you turned off the TV before asking, "Did Carolina text you about when we're going to meet there?"

Christen rolled onto her side to check her phone and text your friend. While she did so, you grabbed yours to continue your late night conversation with one of your closest friends.

"She said 9:30," Christen answered.

"So we should be ready by 9? That means I have to wake up at 8:15..." you mumbled, rubbing your left eye drowsily. Man, you were more tired than you originally thought. Quickly you messaged Micah a goodnight before plugging your phone into its charger. All the while humming the tune you had heard from the movie.

When you wish upon a star, makes no difference who you are, anything your heart desires, will come to you... Neverland is located near a star as well! Hm... I wonder...

Although you weren't completely sure what your sister's was, Peter Pan was your all time favorite Disney character and story. The concept of never growing up, flying with fairies, fighting pirates, and swimming with mermaids (who acted like jerks TBH) excited you. Anyone who came into your room would know that fact immediately due to the mural of Neverland you drew on your black wall in colorful chalk. You found yourself at night wondering where exactly the second star to the right was. And tonight was one of those nights. You to move towards your window, having this sudden urge to search the night sky for it.

"Nicole?" called Christen, turning her head towards you as you pulled away the curtain and looked up to the sky.

"What do you think would happen... if I wished on the second star to the right?" you whispered.

"What?" she responded, sitting up straight to listen attentively.

"I mean, do you think something could happen? The song from Pinocchio said when you wish upon a star, your dreams will come true," you explained.

Your sister yawned, "So why do you want to wish upon the second star to the right? What will that do?"

You smiled and laughed lightly, "I mean, if you think about it, the magic from Pinocchio plus the magic from Peter Pan could some how double the chance of our wishes coming true!"

She laughed at your idea, completely amused by it. Resting her head in her hands, you replied, "I guess that makes sense. What should we wish for then?"

You thought for a few moments. This wish shouldn't be a flippant one.

"Definitely something long term. We don't want to waste a wish like this." you said.

Christen nodded her head in agreement. "Definitely. How about... for an adventure?"

"An adventure? What do you mean?" You asked, completely confused as to where she was going with this.

She smiled at you and continued, "Like... for the rest of our lives to be one big, magical adventure! Starting tomorrow!"

You pursed your lips, thinking about your sister's proposition of such wish. This wish could ultimately change the rest of your lives. The magic level of it would be more powerful than any other wish you had ever made! And on your eighteenth birthday too. It would be EPIC!

Hm... I do like the sound of that.

"I LOVE IT! LET'S DO IT!!!" you shouted in excitement.

"Shhh! You're going to wake Mom and Dad!"

"Oh yeah, oops..."

Christen glanced at her phone, telling you, "It's 11:56." You jumped up in excitement. Everything was aligning perfectly for the ultimate wish making moment! "Then we need to make our wish on the dot! At 12:00!"

Your sister groaned at the idea. Mumbling, "Do we really need to? Can't we just do it now?" You quickly shook your head in disapproval. "No! We need to do this properly."

You could see her roll her eyes at you, contemplating what to do before she finally decided to get out of her bed and walk over to you. She pulled up one of the desk chairs beside you and took a seat. "Fine, I can waste 4 minutes of my precious sleep," she sighed.

You couldn't help but laugh at her comment. "Ha, you know you'd be checking Instagram in bed before you fall asleep anyway." "True," she replied, grinning at you.

Both of you sat tight for a few more minutes until it became 12:00 AM. Your sister looked at you, smiling before looking up to the sky. You did the same and gazed up at the glorious night sky. It was a dark navy, speckled with hundreds of white stars. As you looked to and fro, you finally found the star you had been searching for. Although there was no actual way for you to confirm it, you had your heart set on one quiet bright star to the far left of your window. Closing your eyes, you made your wish in a soft whisper. "I wish that my life would be a magical adventure, and that all who I encounter on this journey would be genuine."

The stupid sun woke you up earlier than your alarm was set, which was pretty freakin' annoying. Apparently you had left the window curtains open, so the light burst through your window and into your bedroom in all its brightness. You were up before Christen, so you took your time brushing your teeth and putting on your make up (gotta make sure dem eyebrows are on fleek). By the time she was up you were already brushing your hair and changed into your outfit.

Once she was done you both grabbed your things and jumped into her car. You grabbed her connecter and plugged your phone into her car, already blasting your music as she pulled out onto the street. It took a few minutes to get onto the freeway, but once you were on it was smooth sailing from there. A few minutes later, both your phone and Christen's went off.

"Is it Carolina?" Christen asked. She couldn't read her messages so you unlocked your screen to read yours.

"Yeah, hold on," you said.

"Aw man!" you groaned, "Carolina said she can't make it!" You were extremely upset, but you knew it couldn't be helped.

Christen glanced at you quickly with widened eyes. "What? Why?!"

"Her mom forgot to tell her about a family reunion thingy and now she can't come!" you explained.

Are you serious?!" Christen groaned. She looked just as upset about the situation as you were.

"Yeah," you sighed sadly. This was such an unfortunate turn of events.

"This ," Christen sighed as she switch lanes, "So much for a magical adventure."

The car was quiet for a few more minutes. You weren't sure if she was going to keep going or turn around.

After thinking it over, you turned to Christen and said, "Hey, well, we can still have a good time together! Disneyland is Disneyland. We can get our birthday pins in Main Street, ride all our favorite rides, and see Mickey and the Magic Map! We can even go to the Aladdin Show to see if Jonah is playing Aladdin!"

You watched as the wheels in Christen's mind turned. She was probably thinking about what options you had for the day.

Quickly you added, "It's going to be a great day, I can just feel it! Let's go, okay?" Because honestly, you did. Though you weren't exactly sure why. It was unexplainable, but you were really excited.

Christen looked at you and laughed quietly, smiling as she said, "All right, let's go to Disneyland."

Christen pulled into the parking structure and parked before the two of you traveled down the escalator, hopped onto the busy tram, walked through the bag check line, and then got into the line for getting into the Happiest Place on Earth. There were more people than usual since it was summer and tourists like coming for vacation.

"Ugh, I hate when it's summer. It gets way to crowded with tourists," Christen whispered.

You nodded your head in agreement. Disneyland was pretty much your home away from home.

"Yeah! And this whole 60th Diamond Anniversary thing is just bringing in more people."

"Like, people get out of our house~" she laughed jokingly, causing you to giggle as well.

Your sister walked quickly into Main Street USA, making a bee line for the city hall. Both of you wanted to get your commemorative birthday pins. There line wasn't too long, but there were a few people before you in line. Christen was scrolling through Instagram to pass the time, while you on the other hand went onto Snapchat to see what was up with everyone else.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The male cast member asked you with a smiled.

"It's me and my sister's birthday! Could we please have birthday pins?" Christen asked happily.

The man nodded and smiled before grabbing two and a sharpie. "Of course. Names?"

"Nicole and Christen," you answered, ginning happily.

He quickly jotted down the names and presented you and Nicole your pins. "Happy Birthday Nicole and Christen! And have a magical day!"

"You too!" Christen said cheerfully.

Walking away from the line, the both of you walked down the crowded street of Disneyland. You couldn't decided what to do first. So you turned to Christen and yawned, "Where should we go first?"

She simply shrugged and looked over at you. "Eh, not sure. Maybe an idea will hit m- AAUGH!!!"

It was like everything had happened in slow motion. Some tall guy with dark brown hair had been running, laughing happily and not looking where he was going before suddenly colliding into your sister. He had been traveling through the crowd quickly before somehow slamming right into your sister! Christen fell backwards onto the hard asphalt with the guy landing right on top of her. She let out groans, hissing because of the pain she was experiencing.

"CHRISTEN!" You shouted in complete shock. Your brain was still trying to process what had just happened.

What's going on?!

"SEHUN!" another voice shouted over yours.

You turned your head in the direction of the voice, only to be greeted by a blonde haired guy running in your direction. He stopped right beside you, staring at the situation with a shocked expression. He whispered under his breath about someone being stupid before finally turning to look at you.

"Did my friend run into yours?" He asked with deep concern.

"My friend? HE HIT MY SISTER!" You shouted angrily, "What the heck was your friend thinking?"

"Oh gosh, I'm so sorry for his behavior," he said, "I told him not to run, but he doesn't listen to me... I'm really sorry!"

You tilted your head in confusion. "Why are you apologizing? It's his fault!"

"I just feel badly about it," He stated, rubbing the back of his neck in this new found awkwardness.

You stared at him for a few moments. In your anger you hadn't realized that this guy was acutaly, really really cute. His messy blonde hair was styled up with mousse. He had brown eyes that looked gentle and pure. His lips curved into an embarrassed smile. You couldn't help but locked eyes with him, staring into his dark orbs which seemed to just captivate every part of you. Your heart sped up, and you wondered if you were the only one feeling this.

The sound of a loud groan snapped you out of your trance. Your eyes darted over to where Christen had been laying, but she was no where in sight. A sudden wave of fear washed over you.

"CHRISTEN?!" you shouted, turning every which way to look for her, "WHERE ARE YOU?"

"H-Hey," the blonde stranger said, "It's okay, my friend is taking her over to that store to help steady her-"

"HE'S TAKING HER?!" Your eyes turned to see that the brown haired stranger was indeed holding Christen against a wall.

You marched over to them, a scowl on your face as you interrupted the guy with a hard, painful slap to the face. His head was knocked over by the face, and you could hear him groaning and hissing in pain as he held his cheek in his hand.

"WHO THE FRICK ARE YOU? CAN'T YOU WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING? YOU ALMOST KILLED MY SISTER!" you growled angrily.

"I already told you it was an accident! He didn't mean to-"

"I'm not talking to you!" you told the blonde stranger, who had followed you over to them.

"He's right, it was a complete accident. I wasn't looking where I was going," the brunette explained, "I'm sorry I ran into your sister. But if you would just let me open my bag I have some wound cleaning wipes and band-aids."

You sent your meanings death stare in his direction. Could you trust this guy? His eyes looked sincere enough, so you nodded your head finally.

"Fine, I'll forgive you if Christen forgives you," you said flatly.

Everyone looked at your sister, who looked a bit surprised at the sudden shift of attention on to her. She glanced at Sehun, as the blonde haired boy called him, before nodding her head with a soft, "I forgive you. Could we please get the band-aid now?"

Sehun smiled brightly as he answered, "Thank you. And of course! Let me get that right now."

He held your sister by the arms and lead all of you in the direction of a bench that was occupied by two girls. The blonde guy smiled at you, giving you a quickly wink before running ahead to the bench. "Excuse me. This girl's head is bleeding because my friend ran into her accidently. Would you mind scooting over so he can treat her?"

"Of course," one girl said. Her eyes widened in shock. "We were going to go anyway. Here, you call can sit." You obliged and sat after they stood to their feet. "I hope you feel better," the second girl said to Christen before they both walked away.

You and Christen sat in the middle of the bench. With Christen being treated by Sehun, you turned your attention to the bright eyed stranger, who was sitting beside you at the right end of the bench.

"So... uh, my name's Luhan," he began with a chuckle, "I have the unfortunate job being best friends with the dimwit who ran into your sister."

You giggled at his comment, "Nice to meet you. I'm Nicole. My sister who got knocked to the ground is Christen." You felt your sister lean against you, so you took the liberty of doing the same to her.

"Hm... Nicole..." Luhan said softly, as if testing the way it sounded on his tongue, "I like that name. It's very beautiful, just like you."

You could feel you face heat up, and you prayed that your face wasn't as red as you thought it was. Suddenly, you heard your name being called form behind. You turned around to face Christen and Sehun. "Huh?" you asked. You were sure your face was red now because you had no idea what Sehun had just said to you.

"He said you have a nice name and happy birthday," Christen told you.

You grinned smugly. "Thanks. Now make sure you don't run into any more people and you can get on my good side." You could hear Luhan burst into laughter from behind you.

Sehun nodded his head and smiled playfully. "I'll try my best."

"So... It's your birthday?" Luhan asked, bringing your attention back to him.

"Ah... yeah," you said, chuckling lightly as you looked down at your feet. Your hair fell in front of your face.

Why is he making me feel like this? It's so strange.

You suddenly felt a hand brush your hair away from your face and behind your ear. You blinked and looked up at Luhan, who was simply smiling at you. His bright eyes fixed on yours.

"Well happy birthday Nicole," he said softly, "Sorry my friend had to ruin it for you guys..."

"What? Oh, it's okay. As long as Christen is fine then I'm fine," you said with a reassuring smile.

"I'm glad to hear that," he replied, "Do you come to Disneyland a lot?"

"Yeah! We have annual passes so we come all the time!" you said happily. You indeed felt blessed to be able to come so often. Not everyone had the same opportunity you did.

"It's a good thing I got a pass today," Luhan chuckled as he saw how happy you got, "Or else Sehun would have never bumped into Christen, and I would have never met such a beautiful girl."

"Uh..." you said, not know what to say. You coughed awkwardly, trying to think of a reply.

"I'm being genuine, you know," Luhan said, "I'm actually really weird around girls. Talking to them makes me super nervous. But... for some reason, I feel like I can talk to you about anything.

He grinned at you as he put his arms on the back of the bench, resting his chin on them in order to get a better look at your face. The look he was giving you was killing you on the inside. The way his eyes just shone with happiness made you want to hug him right there. Good thing you had self-control and logic still on your side. You couldn't, however, deny the fact that you felt the same way about him. Although perhaps in a slightly shyer manner.

"I-I kinda feel the same," you said before being quickly interrupted by Sehun's voice.

"How about a double Disney date?" he asked Luhan with a grin.

"Sounds perfect to me," Luhan replied, "How about you Nicole?"

"U-Uh, sure?" You said, staring at him before taking a quick look at your sister to see what she thought.

"I'm fine with it. Let's go then," Christen state, standing to her feet. You and the guys followed your sister example and walked together down the street.

The four of you decided to go to the Peter Pan's Flight in Fantasyland since you insisted that it was the one you should go on first. The line was decently sized and moved at a steady pace. You decided to sit upon the thick wooden fences since you didn't want to stand the whole time. You were super excited, since it was one of your favorite rides. Swinging your legs back and forth, you hummed a tune to yourself as you watched everyone move forward a bit. You would scoot a bit on the fence each time that happened.

"So, why did you want to go on this ride first in particular?" Luhan asked, tilting his head with a smile.

"Oh, it's because I kinda have this obsession with Peter Pan," you explained, "I've been in love with him since I was little. I even have a mural of Neverland in my room!"

"Really?" he asked, "That's pretty cool! I don't think I've ever met anyone who has like Peter Pan that much."

"Haha, yeah. He's pretty much perfect~" you laughed.

"How so?" He asked in curiosity. As the line moved a bit more, Luhan took this opportunity to stand directly in front of you.

"He's adventurous, funny, always cheerful, and he can fly! What's not to like?" you replied.

Laughing, Luhan responded, "I guess you're right. He sounds pretty awesome. You know I dreamed of flying when I was younger."

"Did you?" you asked, tilting your head playfully.

He nodded and motioned for you to come closer. You leaned your head down so he could whisper in your ear.

"Don't tell anyone, but when I was asked what I wanted to be when I was grown up, I said I wanted to be a bird," Luhan whispered.

Your eyes widened as you pulled your head away, and huge grin gracing your face as you burst out in laughter, "Are you serious?!"

"Yup! I wanted to have wings, a beak, and eat worms all day long~ What a life huh?" He said, looking at the ground as he laughed along with you.

You couldn't stop laughing at the thought that the attractive guy before you once dreamed of a life of migration and feasting on bugs. After you had caught your breath, you realized that you were already near the front of the line. Turning your head, you saw Sehun and Christen standing beside each other. It looked as if Sehun had been messing with her a bit.

"It's our turn!" You said cheerfully, stepping onto the conveyor belt with Luhan.

"Who's going with who?" Chrsiten asked, following you and stepping onto the boarding area with Sehun.

"I want to go with Nicole!" Luhan declared, causing you to turn and look at him.

He grinned and offered his hand for you to hold and follow him. You glanced at Christen. "Yeah, sure," she said approvingly. A smile spread across your face. You turned back to Luhan, took his hand, and let him lead you into one of the mini boat seats of the ride. As you passed into the ride you made sure to lower the safety bar on the two of you.

"Thank you~ I've never gone on this ride before," Luhan said, petting your head gently as a sign of affection.

Your face flushed again. "You're welcome. Really? Wow, I need to show you all the cool parts then!"

As the ride progressed, you could feel the excitement within you burst out. You couldn't stop smiling. The stars shining around you, although they were man made, caused your heart to soar. The idea of flying to Neverland was one of your biggest dreams. And although you knew you couldn't fly there, this ride was a means for you to live that fantasy. You leaned back in your seat, viewing the fantastic indoor landscape with a satisfied grin. It was only a few moments later before you realized that Luhan had been staring at you for that entire time. You looked over at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"What?" you asked.

He shook his head, laughing lowly before moving so that his face was a few inches away from your face.

"Nothing... You're just really cute," he whispered with a smile. Your breath hitched, and you held on tightly to the safety bar as you stare into his barely visible eyes (due to the dimly lit ride).

What's wrong with my heart? Why is it doing this?

"Hm..." He began, before leaning closer to your ear, "Let's fly together, Wendy. I want to have more adventures with you."

"W-What?" you stuttered, " I-I don't understan-"

"I can wait until you do. Till then, I'll enjoy the time we have together today," he said, smiling at you before pulling away and watching the rest of the ride.

You turned your face away from him so you could one, look at the ride, and two, not let him see your face in this state. But your attention was soon taken by the scenes shown before you in the ride.

"LOOK!" you would say as you showed Luhan all your favorite aspects of the ride.

"I really love Peter Pan!" you sighed as the four of you stood in the Dole Whip line. Which, as always, was SUPER long. But if it moved at a reasonable pace it was totally worth the wait.

"We can tell," Luhan said with a bright smile.

"She's been in love with him since she was little,"  Christen told Sehun, who smirked at Luhan and motioned for him to come over to him.

They began talking, but you weren't really listening to their conversation. You were too busy look at all the people passing you with those icy treats of pure heaven. All of a sudden, you heard a loud smacking sound. You turned head only to see Christen face plaming herself.

"What's wrong?" you asked. You had no idea what could have cause your sister to hit herself.

She groaned before whispering, "Nothing. He's just being stupid again."

"Sehun?"

"Yeah... Anyway, how's Luhan?"

You felt yourself getting excited once she mentioned his name.

"He's really nice! A real gentleman, and he carries the conversation well!" You told her, dreamily thinking about the time you had spent with him so far.

Christen laughed before asking,"You wanna switch?"

"What? No way! What's wrong with Sehun?" you asked.

"Like I said, he's stupid."

You looked over her should and watched as the two guys interacted with each other. Sehun whispered something to Luhan, and in response Luhan grinned before pushing him in a playful way. He didn't seem unintelligent to you, but rather lively and a bit mischievous. It could actual be considered a fun quality.

"Hm... stupid in a cute way?" you asked.

You watched as Christen tilted her head, thinking to herself for a few moments before shrugging your shoulders with an, "Eh, maybe..."

"Aw! This is really cute!" You squealed, pulling your sister into a tight hug. She was seriously too cute.

"Shhh!" she warned.

Sehun then bounced over towards you and asked, "Can I hug Christen too?"

"I have a right to hug her because I'm her twin. You're not, so you can't," you stated, a proud smirk upon your face.

The boy pouted, but you didn't really care. You could see Luhan from behind him grinning and giving you a big thumbs up. And you smiled back at him.

After waiting for approximately fifteen more minutes, the four of you had finally arrived at your destination, AKA the front of the line. Your mouth was already salivating at the though of the glorious ice cream. You watched as Sehun and Luhan moved to the front. The latter boy handed Sehun some money, which he combined with his own before asking the cast member for, "Four please."

"It's fine, we can pay for ourselves," Christen insisted. You guys didn't like for others to pay for you when you were able to pay for yourselves.

Sehun looked at her before whispering something quietly. You glanced at Luhan. He only continued to stare at you with adoring eyes. You bit you lower lip, not sure if you should attempt to pay him back.

"Don't worry about it," you heard him say, "It's my treat, all right?"

Shocked, you nodded your head in response. It was as if he could read your mind. And to be completely honest it was a bit freaky. But hey, he was a gentleman offering to purchase you something. Who were you to continue refusing?

The vendor handed you an ice cream, and once everyone had gotten theirs you headed out of the line and out onto the street. As you ate your ice cream, you felt yourself moan in delight.

It's the perfect treat for such a hot day!

"Man, I haven't had this in ages~" Sehun sang happily.

Suddenly, you remembered reading the show times for Mickey and the Magical Map online that morning before leaving the house. Quickly you took our your phone to make sure you were correct about the times, which you were! There was to be a show in just a few minutes. You had to go. It was one of your favorite shows after all.

"Christen, you want to watch Mickey and the Magical Map? It's on in a few minutes!"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I just checked," you said, holding your phone up to show Christen the show times.

She analyzed the screen before nodding her head. "Okay, let's go!"

"What's Mickey and the Magical Map?" Luhan's voice inquired.

You and Christen froze on the spot.

"WHAT? YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT MICKEY AND THE MAGICAL MAP IS?" Christen gasped, staring at Luhan as if he was a lunatic.

He shook his head, a blush creeping up his cheeks. "I only came her a few times when I was younger. I got my pass with Sehun today so yeah... I have not clue," he told you with a frown on his face.

"My poor fellow, you have not lived! We shall show you. Come on!" you said with widened grin. He nodded his head and walked beside you as your group made your way to to the theater.

When you arrived you guys the theater was pretty packed and the show was already about to start. Gazing into the audience, you tried your hardest to find seats near the front.

Come on... just four seats... AH! THERE!

"Let's sit in the front!" you said, pointing out four empty seats you had found. They were located towards the front left. Speed walking, you briskly made your way through all the people in order to claim your seat. Somehow you managed to all sit in the same order as you did on the bench: Luhan, You, Christen, and then Sehun.

Speaking of Sehun, you could see that he was teasing Christen again. But it didn't look like he meant any harm, so you turned your attention towards Luhan, who was currently sitting at the edge of his seat in excitement.

"I'm so excited, Nicole," he confessed, turning his head and grinning at you. One of his legs was bouncing up and down feverishly. It was as if he couldn't contain his happiness.

"I can't believe you've never seen this before," you said, "I'm sure you're going to love it!"

"Even if I didn't like the show I would still enjoy it," he stated.

"What? That sounds like a contradiction, doesn't it?"

"Hm, not really. I would still enjoy it because I get to sit next to you~" he sang, giving you a playful wink

"Uh..." You cleared your throat, once again left speechless. Though you had to admit you found it quite attractive. You were suddenly interrupted by Nicole and Sehun, who were arguing about something.

"Stop being a predator!"

"I'm not! I'm just speaking my mind-"

"SHHH!" you warned them, "The shows going to start now!"

And with that, the two of them shut their mouths. You sighed happily, leaning back into your chair as the music began.

When Rapunzel and Flynn made their way onto the stage during the Medley after Pocahontas and Mulan had sung, your sister squealed and grabbed your arm, shaking it in excitement.

"Look! It's Caleb Shaw!" Christen exclaimed. When he glanced over at your direction you both waved slightly. He locked eyes with you and smiled slightly before turning away and finishing his the song with the rest of the cast.

"Who is this Caleb Shaw you speak of?" you heard Sehun ask. His face looked unamused.

"Yeah!" Luhan said, insisting that you explain yourselves. His eyes darted back and forth between you and Caleb (Flynn).

"Oh, well we come here A LOT! So we recognize cast members and they recognize us," Christen began.

"We always sit near the front, so he knows who we are. Plus we always wave to him at the end!" You continued.

"Pssh, what's so great about him?" Sehun grumbled as he slouched in his seat.

"Uh, he's cute?" Christen said as-a-matter-of-fact, "There was this one time we saw him at Ferrell's and oh my gosh, Nicole got so scared she hid under the table!"

"I was freaked out, okay? What if he though we were stalking him?" you said, defending yourself.

"Don't wave at him at the end," Sehun said, staring at Christen intensely. You weren't sure if he was directing his message to the both of you, or mainly just to her. You could tell he was really jealous.

Your sister raised an eyebrow at him. "Uh, and why not? I can do whatever the hell I want!"

"This isn't even close to how we act when we see Jonah," you added.

With that note, none of you were paying attention to the Under the Sea song, considering how both guys were currently staring at you with completely confused faces. Luhan's gaze burned into your face. Meanwhile Sehun looked at you as if your had grown a second head.

"Who the heck is that?" Sehun questioned.

"Uh, my husband," Christen answered flatly.

"He plays Aladdin in the Aladdin Show," you explained, causing him to gasp loudly.

"No! He can't have you!" Sehun whined.

You zoned their conversation out as the boy continued to complain to Christen. Luhan tapped your shoulder and asked, "You don't... you know... like like either of those guys, right?"

You blinked before giggling to yourself. He looked so serious at this moment you couldn't handle it. It was too adorable. Shaking your head, you smiled at him and answered, "I don't. There's nothing to worry about."

"Good," he sighed in relief.

You were now in line for Big Thunder Mountain. As you got nearer and nearer to the front you grew even more excited. You hadn't gone on a fast ride yet, and you hoped that you would get to go on several without having to wait hours to get on them. Thankfully it seemed like this line, although long, moved quickly. Space Mountain would be a different story though. The line for that things was always over an hour.

Hm... Space Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain...

"Do you think Disney has some kind of affinity for mountains?" you asked Luhan.

He didn't answer. His eyes looked slightly glazed over, staring out into the distance as if he was in a daze. You cleared your throat in an attempt to get his attention, but it failed.

"Um, Luhan?" you called, waving a hand in front of his face, "Are you okay?"

"H-Huh?" he asked, snapping out of his daze, "Did you say something?"

"Uh yes, but never mind that. Are you okay?" you asked.

"I-I'm fine..." he muttered, taking deep breaths and closing his eyes.

You didnt' believe it for one second. He didn't look very good. Luhan seemed paler than normal, and it looked like he was shaking a bit.

"Luhan," you said in a serious tone, "tell me what's wrong."

He gazed at you, fear flickering in his eyes. He looked away and took a deep breath, exhaling it before turning back to face you.

"Okay, I'm... afraid of roller coasters..."

"... That's it?" you asked.

"W-What?" he stammered, "You don't think I'm... unmanly?"

You shook your head. "Why should I? Everyone's afraid of something. You just happen to be afraid of roller coasters."

"Thanks for not making fun of me for it..." he whispered, "Not everyone is as kind about it as you." He bitting his lower lip and looked down at his feet.

"You're welcome," you said, "If you want you don't have to go on. You can exit once we get to the boarding area."

Luhan thought about your offer. His eyes remained fixed on his feet. After the line had progressed so far that you could see people getting on the ride, Luhan finally looked at you with determination in his eyes.

"Is this a ride that you really like?" he asked seriously.

You slowly nodded your head, not completely sure where he was going with this.

"All right," he said, "Then I shall go on, so I can be with you."

"Luhan, you don't have to do that," you told him, "Really, if you're afraid then-"

"I have made my decision. I want to be by your side." He said, cutting you off.

"All right then."

"..."

"..."

"...Hey, Nicole?"

"Yes, Luhan?"

"...Can I hold your hand?"

He still looked afraid, but as you stared into his eyes you could see that there was no turning back for him. You smiled gently. "Sure."

And with that, he took your hand into his.

Yes, he still screamed like a girl on the ride. Yes, he freaked out and was on the verge of tears. Yes, he was a nervous wreck and refused to open his eyes. But you held onto his hand firmly, reassuring him that everything was going to be okay. And he squeezed your hand as if his life depended on it.

After the Big Thunder Mountain fiasco, the four of you traveled to Space Mountain and got fast passes (because long lines are for losers). Luhan didn't want to go at first, but you told him it was not like the other rides. It did not have deep drops, but consisted of sharp turns. It also was in the dark, so he wouldn't be as frightened by the surroundings.

After getting your fast passes you went to the Haunted Mansion. When the cast member instructed your group to stand in the center of the "stretching" room, you felt Luhan move directly behind you. You giggled as he would tease you by playing with your fingers in the darkness of the room. To be quite honest, you thought that Luhan would scream inside that ride as well. However, he was actually rather stoic within the haunting attraction. Nothing frightened him. This led you to the conclusion that he was indeed only fearful of roller coasters. Also during the ride, you though you saw Christen and Sehun holding hands, but then again the room was rather dark.

Once you got out of the Mansion, the four of you walked back to Tomorrowland to ride Space Mountain. As expected the line was insane! Passing those poor people in the regular line, you boarded the ride in record time. And you absolutely adored the photograph at the end. Everyone was enjoying themselves except for Luhan, who was captured holding onto your arm for dear life. Though he insisted that he would go on again since it was not as bad as he expected.

"You guys want to eat lunch now?" Christen asked.

"Yes please! I'm starving," Luhan said, seconding the motion to get food.

"Where would you like to eat?" Sehun said as he looked at Christen.

Your sister's face flushed. Instead of answering she coughed awkwardly and looking in another direction. That was defiantly a sign that something was up between her and Sehun.

"How about Pizza Port!" you suggested excitedly, "It's right down the street."

"If they have good food, I'm down!" Luhan replied with a grin.

"They do! Let's go!"

Your foursome walked through the large crowds of people (who were most likely getting into the long Space Mountain line. Hahaha, ers!) and made your way to the large space ship eating area. The guys offered to go get the food since they wanted to pay, and after some arguing, you and Christen finally let them get in line. That left the two of you to find decent seats with some shade and wait for them to come back with the food. As you waited for them you decided to text Micah.

You couldn't help but laugh out loud at Micah's texts. You replied, "Yup!" to her just as you heard the guys calling your names. Telling her you would message her back later, you and Christen waved them over to your shady table.

"Over here!" Christen yelled.

It was amazing. Sehun and Luhan had both managed to carry over two plates of Salad (to share), two plates of Mars-inara with Meatballs (also share), two extra plates, and four drinks (not to share)!

"How did you guys manage to carry all this stuff over?" you asked Luhan, who sat down beside you.

"It's a secret," he said, winking at you with a chuckle.

"Tell me~" you said, tugging on the hem of his sleeve.

"Hm... can you keep a secret?" He asked, playfully wiggling his eyebrows. You nodded your head quickly.

"All right then," he said, leaning to whisper into your ear, "The secret is... Pixie dust."

You rolled your eyes, but decided to play along with his game. "Ooh~ How did you ever manage to get that? Are you Peter Pan?"

"If you're my Wendy, then yes," he answered, giving you a quick peck on the cheek. You froze.

"D-Did you just-"

"Where should we go after this?" Luhan asked the others, completely dodging your question as he stuffed his face with the salad. You snapped out of your little trance, deciding to address the matter at a later time since Luhan had decided to move on from the subject.

"California Adventure! Please? We could go on the Cars Ride, or the Tower of Terror, or the Little Mermaid!" You suggested.

"And California Screamin', except for Luhan," Sehun added, a big smirk on his face.

Although you knew you shouldn't, you and Christen could not contain your laughter. The two of you laughed hard at the playful comment Sehun made. But you could see Luhan blush a bit before looking down at his feet.

"Sorry Luhan," Christen said with an apologetic smile.

"Yeah, sorry," you followed, "If you don't want to go on it, I'll go on something else with you."

He glanced up at you hopefully, "Really?"

"Of course," you answered with a reassuring smile.

He grinned and returned to his cheerful state. His attention turned back to his small portion of salad, and yours to your pasta. You were enjoying yourself until you realized that Christen and Sehun were at it again.

"My princess wiped my mouth for me!" squealed Sehun.

"Oh my gosh, stop being like this!" Christen cried, totally annoyed.

"Aw, how cute!" Luhan stated, causing the both of you to giggled.

"NO ONE ASKED YOU LUHAN!" Christen shouted.

As soon as lunch was finished, you walked down Main Street USA and made your exodus from Disneyland. It took a while to push through the crowds of people, but it was all worth it at the end as you stood before the entrance of California Adventure. Quickly getting of your passes swiped, the four of you walked down Sunset Plaza. It was burning hot. The sun was scorching, so you did your best to walk under places with shade while traveling.

The four of you decided to go on the exhilarating Cars Ride first, followed by the Tower of Terror (just three of you since Luhan refused to go on), and then the Little Mermaid ride. In all honesty the water sound effects along with the cool atmosphere (literally) made you feel sleepy. Sehun took not of this and suggest that you all go to Off the Page to take a short nap inside the main lobby area. It was a cool and dark place with couches. The perfect spot for some well needed rest. Everyone agreed and made you way to the Hollywood Picture Backlot. It looked like you weren't the only ones who had the idea to retreat indoors to escape the heat. It seemed like everyone was heading inside any kind of indoor ride or attraction.

You soon entered Off the Page, the public animation studio building. It was one of your favorite places in California Adventure to visit. Everything about it was incredible. The lighting, the giant screens where you could see all the different sketches, landscapes, and scenes from Disney movies, and especially how chill the entire place was. You and the gang thought to walk around for a while, taking the Disney character personality quiz in the Beast's Library and even going to the Sorcerers Workshop (which seemed to be Luhan's favorite room). After you finished, the four of you rested on an unoccupied couch. You made sure to set your phone alarm to go off a few minutes before the Aladdin show Jonah was in would start. And with that, you slept like a baby... until you heart the annoying ringing of your phone signaling you to get up. You were the only one who actually awoke to its sound. The three others ignored it. So with a yawn you tapped Christen on your head to wake her up.

"Jonah is going to be in the next show!" you told her. You saw your sister grin at the sound of his name.

She sat up straight and stretching her arms. "Let's hurry, we got to get Orchestra seating!"

"Yeah, let's go so we can see the guy I'm going to beat up later," Sehun yawned, making this weird face at her.

She gasped, "Don't you dare hurt him! He did nothing wrong!"

"He's taking you away from meeeeeh!" Sehun cried.

He took hold of Christen's arm, holding it as tight as he could. She wasted no time and smacked him on the head. The brunette cried out in pain, but your sister simply rolled her eyes.

"Why are you so concerned about this Jonas person, but so violent with me?!"

"It's JONAH, and its because you're being stupid again!"

"That's not a good reason!" Luhan interrupted.

"Once again, NO ONE ASKED YOU LUHAN!"

After exiting Off the Page, you walked down the street to your right. It was a good thing the Hyperion theater was not extremely far from your current location. Christen motioned for the you to follow her quickly into the line for orchestra seating, and not a moment too soon. Once you had entered the line the cast members opened the doors to the theater.

The lighting became dimmed, and the play began. Whimsical music began playing, giving the effect of a person traveling back in time to the ancient city of Agraba. The wandering merchant began his lines. Luhan was sitting beside you, completely enthralled by the special effects, especially the opening with the Cave of Wonders. He would whisper to you about how amazing everything was. From the acting to the singing to the sets to lighting, he loved it all. You could not help but smile happily everytime he praised the musical. And once the open scene at the market began, you coudn't help be smile widely as you witnessed Jonah portray the character of Aladdin. He was a great actor and singer, you gave him props. What surprised you the most about the entire thing was that Sehun and Christen did not say a word to each other throughout the entire musical... Very odd.

"May I take your sister somewhere for a moment?" Sehun asked you, "I want to show her something."

"You're not doing anything shady are you?" You questioned, sending him a piercing glare.

He shook his head before moving closer to you. He was still holding onto your sister's hand when he leaned over and whispered softly.

"I want to ask your sister to be my girlfriend somewhere romantic. I promise I won't do anything to her. You have my word."

Your eyes widened, and you couldn't help but smile a bit when you heard this. Sure, Christen and him fought a bit. But they were more like petty lovers quarrels than actual fights. There was no harm done by them, everything was playful and in good spirit. And although you knew she was oblivious to the fact, you could see that your sister and Sehun were actually quite compatible. He just had to find a way to gain her trust.

"That's fine with me," you said, "But I swear, if you do something to her-"

"I know, I know, you're going to 'hit me harder than you did when you met me.' Don't worry, I'll keep my princess extremely safe," He insisted, giving you a big thumbs up.

You nodded at him before quickly turning to Christen. "Okay, I'll be with Luhan then. Text me if something happens, kay?"

"Okay," she whispered, nodding before she was suddenly whisked away by Sehun.

You glanced at Luhan, who was completely oblivious to what was happening. "So... where are they going?"

"Ah, he's going to ask Christen to be his girlfriend."

"Man, he sure doesn't waste time," Luhan chuckled.

"Hm... time..." you whispered.

You felt yourself become a bit depressed at the mention of it. It must have been quite noticeable, because Luhan addressed it.

"Nicole, what's wrong?"

"Hm? Oh nothing..."

"You know, if nothing is nothing, then it must be something," he said, half jokingly and half serious.

You laughed at how dumb, but true his statement was. "Haha~ I guess so."

"So what's this 'nothing' you're thinking about?" he questioned.

He took your hand and walked with you around Paradise Pier. The sun was just beginning to set, and you could see the golden rays of sun dancing across the landscape. The sky mostly clear. Only a few clouds speckled the sky, and there was a light breeze coming through. Although there was still crowds and crowds of people walking to and fro, you felt at peace. Perhaps it had to do with Luhan being there with you.

"It's just... I turned eighteen today. Legally that means I'm an adult," you began, "I can vote, I can drive, I can do a lot of things. But.... I don't feel like one. I feel the same. Eighteen year old Nicole should be wiser and more mature, and yet I still feel like that little girl who got suspended because I thew pine cones at some studnets because they bullied my sister. I don't think I'm ready to be a grown-up."

Luhan stared at you, his eyes piercing into your soul as you stood in the middle of the walk way. He said nothing for several minutes. Then, he gently pulled you with him to sit on a bench that gave you a perfect view of the open water. The wind had blown your hair into your face again. You moved a hand up to move them, but Luhan beat you too it, tenderly using his finger tips to brush the hairs away.

"It's understandable to feel the way you do," he whispered, "Becoming an adult is a frightening thing to think about. You have to carry more responsibilities, and you have to learn how to fend for yourself. But you don't become an adult over night. You don't become another person over night. Change is a process that takes time. If you want to become wiser, you have to work on gaining wisdom everyday."

He smiled taking hold of both your hands as he continued,"And as for not wanting to be a grown up, that's totally okay. Sure, you may age outwardly, but inwardly you can still love, play, and have faith like a child. Kids make things simple to understand, and they enjoy the small things in life. And because of this they are happier than most 'grown-ups.' So if you want to never grow up, make it a point to do so."

You stared at him, completely amazed at the words he had just spoken. You found them wonderful and encouraging. He then looked away for a moment, taking a deep breath before turning back to you. He smiled shyly.

"And... I know this isn't the perfect place to do this. I probably should have taken you onto the Ferris wheel or something, but anyway, I-I would really... REALLY like it if we could, um, never grow up together? What I'm trying to say is..." he breathed, "Would you do me the honor of letting me be the Peter Pan to your Wendy?"

You felt your cheeks heat up and your heart beat race. This was really happening! Right in front of you! The gorgeous guy's eyes were sparkling with hope, pleading for you to say something . This feeling was incredible. It was like you were soaring above cloud nine and no one could bring you down.  In this moment there was only you and him, no tourists, no cast members, no rides. His eyes held you captive. You couldn't get any words out. Your words were caught inside your throat. All you could do to answer him was a simple nod.

"Really?!" He shouted.

You nodded once more. In his excitement, Luhan gave you the biggest, happiest, most beautiful smile you had ever seen before tackling you in a bear hug.

"YES! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU NICOLE!" He yelled delightedly.

Suddenly, Luhan picked you up bridal style and began spinning your around, laughing. You giggled at his silly antics and let him have is way before he put you down shortly after. Once your feet touched the ground, you looked up only to be greeted by a gentle peck on the nose.

"My feelings for you are real, Nicole. I hope you can learn to feel the same for me," he whispered, pulling you into a hug.

You smiled, nuzzling against his chest. His feelings were sincere, his words were true, everything about Luhan was real. He never put up a front. He didn't try to act like someone else. He was honest about his fears, as well as his dreams. Every aspect of his personality was genuine. You realized this as you rested your head against him, his arms holding you tight. And it was in that moment you knew... your wish had come true.

"I hopes so too," you whispered.

"Happy birthday Nicole."
