Lee Mijoo, a 16-year-old girl and her parents moves into a new home in the country. One day Mijoo returns home from school and her parents suggests that they go for a picnic and take a walk in their new neighborhood. While they were on the walk they unknowingly take a wrong turn and enters, what they believed was, an abandoned amusement park. Mijoo ends up separating from her parents and finds an exquisite bathhouse and encounters a young boy around her age named Jeonjeon. He warns her to return home before the sun sets. However, Mijoo discovers it was too late as she notices the trail that they came through was now a river.

Jeonjeon helps take care of Mijoo and helps her beg for a job at the bathhouse. She eventually starts to grow feelings for him but knew that she couldn't be with him because she wasn't going to leave him soon. Mongssi, the witch who runs the bathhouse, took Mijoo's real name away when she started working and gave her the name Joo instead. Mongssi discovers that Mijoo was trying to go home and so she gives her tasks to complete and if she finishes them, she'll give her real name back so she can leave. Joo refuses to finish the last task unless Mongssi gives Jeonjeon his real name back but Mongssi denies her requests. Joo was given her real name back and returns home leaving Jeonjeon behind.

A year has passed and Mijoo still wasn't able to forget the love she had left in the lost world. One day while waiting at the train stop after school she sees a familiar figure across from her. She realizes it was Jeonjeon but wasn't able to call out to him as the train arrives. It continued on like this for several months until one day Jeonjeon notices Mijoo who has been calling him by the name Mongssi has given him instead of his real name.

After that day Mijoo stop showing up at the train station and Jeonjeon begins to worry. He ends up looking for her and eventually finds where she lives. He discovers Mijoo has gone ill and was taken out of school for a few months while recovering and receiving treatment. Mijoo discovers that Jeonjeon's real name is Jungkook and that he had made a vow to take care of her until the day she passes.
