Chapter 8
Black SunChapter 8
That’s right, go and kill…
The voice was continued to taunt him, his mind was filled with worry and he was slowly loosing control; he was giving in to the voice.
That’s it let me help you…
It wasn’t long before he came upon a gathering of the same guys from the inn, they were holding down Minwoo and they were getting ready to hit Youngmin, his Youngmin, his brother. That was all it took for the voice in his head to take over,
“Hey! Leave him alone!” He demanded. The gang’s attention went to Kwangmin who was far from the definition of mad; he was absolutely, one hundred percent enraged.
“K-Kwangmin…” Youngmin voiced out almost painfully.
“Leave him alone!” He heard his younger brother roar out. The man smirked moving away from Youngmin to the younger,
“Or what,” He was testing the younger and Kwangmin was more than happy to play his game.
That wasn’t Kwangmin, it happened once before at the fields back home. Kwangmin’s voice was laced with someone else’s, it sounded like he was…possessed? It was becoming darker, he was turning more evil by the minute. The darkness hadn’t emitted from the younger boy for a few days so he had thought that his brother was getting better somehow, but he thought wrong.
“K-Kwangmin, relax, calm down!” Youngmin called out to him, but Kwangmin, his Kwangmin was slowly loosing, he was slowly giving into the power of darkness. He grabbed the gang leader’s collar and roughly threw him down on the ground. At this moment, while the other members were distracted, Minwoo elbowed the gang member behind him and kicked him into another member near by. He then went over to Youngmin’s captors, giving them the same treatment as he did to the others, but he then turned to Youngmin and held him down a small knife to Youngmin’s throat,
“What are you two? Demons?” Youngmin looked up at Minwoo who was more scared than angry. This was bad; if Youngmin couldn’t get to Kwangmin then the younger will get swallowed by the darkness.
“Minwoo, we are not demons, let me help him, he’s angry I need to calm him down, please Minwoo, we don’t want to hurt you.” Youngmin pleaded. The younger looked at Youngmin then to Kwangmin who was slowly making his way to him. Hesitantly getting off of Youngmin, the older stood up and faced his brother, he couldn’t bare to watch his brother suffer like this, he needed to stop this. He quickly ran to his brother, embracing him,
“Kwangmin calm down, p-please calm down. You stopped him, stop, and calm down!”
Kwangmin’s consciousness was beginning to fade, but that same light, that same warm, familiar, and inviting light pushed through the darkness like the sun pouring its light into a darkened room, filling it with light and warmth. Reaching for the warmth, Kwangmin slowly came back to reality, his black eyes turned back into the normal brown orbs and the voice that took over was forced out, releasing the younger from his grasp, for now. Collapsing onto his knees, Kwangmin gripped his brother’s shirt, returning the embrace. He knew what he had done, he remembered that voice, but he couldn’t put together what happened after.
“I-I’m so sorry…” He wrote onto his brother’s hand. Youngmin pulled back with a relieved smile, his Kwangmin was back,
“As long as you’re ok, there’s no need to apologize.” He looked back to Minwoo whose eyes were hard. Youngmin helped his brother up and turned to look at the younger. He knew that he and the rest of the gang members were terrified of Kwangmin.
“Minwoo, please don’t be afraid of him. This is why we are traveling we’re trying to help him-“
“Help?! That thing needs to be locked in a dungeon!” Minwoo exclaimed. At this, Kwangmin heard the voice again, it was chuckling,
Hehe….murderer….
Kwangmin gripped onto his brother’s shirt tightly, his subconscious trying to fight the voice,
No….I’m not…I don’t want this….
Youngmin held onto his brother tightly,
“Take it easy, I’m here.” The light flowed into Kwangmin again, making the voice vanish once again. Minwoo stepped closer to the twins and tsked,
“He is a demon.”
Youngmin snapped at this, how could he betray them like this, he seemed so trust worthy before, so nice and helpful, now he became something very similar to the gang leader.
“No! He’s my brother! I will not have you bad mouthing him like that; I’ve had it with you, Minwoo. What in the world happened to you! If anything, you’re the one acting like a demon, not Kwangmin.” He helped his brother stand and led him back to the hotel.
