It all started in 2004 in November. I was fifteen years old and I was casted just on the streets of Myeongdong. I still remember the date. 10th November 2004. I remember each and every word that the street caster told me. “Are you interested in singing, performing, acting, entertainment?” I remember nodding, an excited but curious gleam in my eyes. “I hope you turn up.” The female left after giving me a brochure and a name card.

Kim Soomin. 

You see, I’ve always loved singing. Ever since I started elementary school and joined the school choir. I remember getting praised by my teacher, up to the point where I had a solo performance at the end of my elementary journey. I loved the audience, the stage, the glaring lights and the loud screams. It was my home, my second home. I never once felt sick of the stage, of performing.
