He was standing by the door, hesitating whether to crash in or being polite. He wanted to talk to her but she might not open the door if she knew that it was him who was outside. He wanted to see her but she might have changed the passcode of her door after all the fiasco before. Gathering up his courage, he looked up for the same number that he always saw hanging before rapping his knuckles into the wood. From outside, he could hear the footsteps coming towards his direction and then came the voice, “Tiff, I’m-”, before stopping as her sight fixated upon the visitor once she opened the door. He smiled awkwardly and her façade was beautiful as he remembered. She gasped quietly and his presence was striking as she recognized. Catching back her sense, she was going to slam the door in his face when he talked, “Don’t, ca- can I come in?”
