I ran through the hallways of the biulding. They all looked the same, I had no idea where I was going. I pressed my ear piece closer to the inside of my ear, I heard nothing. Only static.

"Aish." I muttered, my feet picking up their pace. By this point in time my breath was starting to falter. All this running was really getting to me.

I stopped.

I had reached three hallways...now this was something new. Far different from what this place looked like before. I quickly surveyed the area, completely unsure of which way to go. One of them had to be the right way, I was sure of that. I tried to use my ear piece again, I was only met with the now familiar static in my ear. I sighed. How was I going to figure my way out without my teammates?

I had only one choice, and that was to follow my training. I listened and looked out for any incoming enemies. There were none, great. I took a step forward, taking it slow. I decided it would be best to do that. That way I was quiet and hidden, if possible.

My fist clenched at my wushu stick tightly, so tightly my knuckles were white. Something felt wrong, this feeling made me shake slightly. I didn't like this one bit. I was so unsettled my free hand reached down for my pistol. It only hovered near the holister, not making a move to remove it. Or use it.

It was then I heard footsteps, not only that but they were heading straight for me. I took a breath and held it. Not only that but a pressed my back against a wall and tried to appear as hidden as possible. The footsteps neared, closer and closer. I was starting to panic.

No.

I mustn't do that. As a spy I should't be scared or panic.

I used both my hands to hold my wushu stick. I braced myself for the incoming enemy and pounced once they were close enough. They fought back straight away, dodging my first attack. They threw a punch at me, luckily thanks to martial art skills I was able to block it. Not just that but I was able to knock the attacker to the ground, using a sweeping kick to the ankle.

"Omph." Was all I heard as the assailant hit the metal ground beneath my feet,

The said person rolled onto their back and finally faced me. I groaned at my mistake....it was none other than my boyfriend.

"Geez, Kris. Be more careful." I told him, feeling really guilty about knocking him to the ground.

"I should say that to you." I heard him mutter as I helped him up. "You and your sweeping kicks."

When he said that, I couldn't help but let a laugh out. He soon joined me.

We didn't laugh for long, we knew we had to get back to business. Before we got outnumbered by enemies. We silently agreed to continue on together, me gripping my wushu stick. Him hold twin pistols. Twin pistols I was sure he wasn't holding when I fought him minutes before. I shrugged it off.

"Have you got static too?" He asked me, looking at me slightly as we walked on.

I pressed my fingers to the electric device in my ear and nodded. I don't think I was going to hear anything useful for sometime. Kris nodded, as if he knew what I was thinking.

"How are we going to get hold of the others?" I asked him. This caused a frown to appear on his beauitful face. I didn't like it when he frowned, but this frown showed that I had a point.

"I guess we're going to have to find them. I saw Suho further ahead." Kris explained to me, I nodded. In both understanding and agreement.

We walked a little further, but then more footsteps sounded. Behind us...and not just one set of them either. It was like a stampeed, coming straight for us. We looked at each other and ran. Kris' hand reached for mine and squeezed it as we ran. The footsteps got louder, it was clear that they heard us running and were running after us.

Soon the footsteps weren't the only thing that we would have to worry about. The sounds of bullets filled the hallway, and because of the metal walls you could hear them bouncing off. Echos of those sounds could also be heard, the hallway was so noisy now. It was so quiet only seconds before.

Kris quickly let go of my hand and span his body around, pistols at the ready. He had a determined look on his face, there was no way he was going to back to down. He stood, facing the action. He was ready to get this over and done with. I too stopped, turning around. Placing my wushu stick infront of me, I got into a fighting stance.

"Are you mad, go find the others while I hold these guys off." Kris told me sternly, he looked angry. His face present on his face. He was trying to take charge. I wasn't going to let that happen.

"We stand a better chance of beating them with two of us. It doesn't help that we don't know how many of them there are."

I heard him sigh and out of the corner of my eye, I could see him nodding. "Okay fine."

We braced ourselves and prepared ourselves to fight. The stampeed sped round the corner and went straight for us. At the same time, I went straight to them. This was something they were not expecting. I could tell by the way their faces looked.

Shocked.

They looked like they were just about ready to run away. I flipped over them as they watched. But because they were too busy watching me, they weren't paying any attention to Kris. But this was a good thing, this meant he could attack them at will. Kris slid along the floor as I flipped threw the air. He pulled the triggers of his guns as he slid. He hit several of them, in the arms and legs.

They were unable to dodge, as they were too busy looking at me. But as Kris attack, so did I. I landed perfectly on the ground, sweeping my stick and knocking a few of them down. I punched and kicked, using my stick as leverage. I swung my stick around over my headand flipped once again. I landed on the shoulders of one the attackers. I twisted his head round and broke it causing his body to fall tot he floor.

The men that were remaining Kris shot with ease. A few of them went to him but he dodged a lot of their attacks and shot them in the head before they could do anything.

Kris and I sureveyed the area, checking that they were all dead or gravely injured. When we were sure it was safe and nobody else was going after us, we began to run again.

After many minutes of running through many more hallways, we found ourselves at a large metal room. This size of the room surprised me. The fact it was made of metal? Not so much. The whole place was made of the stuff.

"You guys made it!" A cheery voice sounded.

I soon found the owner of the voice, my teammeate Chanyeol. In fact all of my teammates were there. This made me grin, we all made it to the same place, none of uss two injured. None of us dead. Even with no means of communication.

"Yeah, it took a while. I must say." I heard Kris voice out beside me.

I took my time to ctach my breath as my teammates came over and patted me ang Kris on the back. But as I gave them all a closer look I could tell they were feeling as tired as I was. I was happy that wasn't the only one feeling the full power of all of this.

"It appears that our ear pieces stopped working during that. But by the looks of things we didn't need them too badly." Suho told us all calmly, but being calm was in his nature. He had a kind smile on his face, he looked quite proud too.

"Did anyone follow you here?" Xiumin, the eldest, asked.

"If you include the men we just killed back there. Then no." I answered truthfully.

My answer managed to get a few of them laughing, but that was the point. I had no engery to laugh along with them, but by the smile on my face you could tell I wanted to. The laughter was soon interrupted by a mechanical voice.

"Mission complete. Simulation end."

With these simple words we all burst into fits of cheering and jumping around. We were glad it was finally done with. We had been wroking on this mission for hours. As we cheered and celebrated our success, the large metal room faded away. Before our very eyes we could, once again, see the simulation room that was placed in our facility.

We all walked out of the room, patting each other on the back and high-fining each other. We all went to the changing room and changed out of our sweaty, tight clothes from our mission. I sighed out of relief, it was good to be finally out of them.

After we were all changed we decided to hangout in one of the training rooms. I layed down on the ground, after all I really did need it. I sighed again, it was good to finally rest my aching muscles. I'm sure all my friends felt the same way. I looked at Kris and he looked how I felt. I smiled at him, he smiled back. We all soon well into a conversation about the mission we had just finished.

As we spoke our trainers walked in, they were smiling too. Nobody looked more prod then they did. Even though we had offically finished our training months ago, they always looked proud when we completed something. We stopped out conversation quickly, it seemed as if they had something to say to us. The nodded to us, as if they were confirming what we were all thinking.

"A very well done boys." One of them spoke out, "But we're sad to say that you're going straight into a real mission." He continued, not long afterwards.

Groans and sulking could be heard throughout the room, some of them being mine. None of us wanted to something else, we just wanted to rest. But I guess that was just part of being a spy. Taking missions as they came.

Of course, they was at least one person cheering about it, Chanyeol of course. There was something I learnt while training with him. He always smiles and is never down about anything. Not that any of us minded, it brought us all up. Inlcuding his boyfriend Baekhyun.

We didn't have long to prepare before we were shipped off to our next mission. Even though I ached all over, excitment washed all over me. I couldn't wait to get started.The quicker we started, the quicker we finished. The mission itself wasn't too bad. We had to infultrate mansion of a well-known criminal. We had the cover and this was reason we were being rushed over so quickly.

~~~
My feet moved in time with the music of my beating heart. It was a gentle, but steady tune.
Thump! Thump!
Thump! Thump!
But alas, this was not the only music playing. In fact there was music filling the while room. I was not the only one dancing either, everyone around me dancing. The whole room was filled with music and people dacning to that very music. But dancing wasn't the only reason I was here. This was part of my mission, this is how my teammates and I were going to infultrate this guy.
Attend his ball of course.
I lifted my left hand up and brought my fingers to my ear. There inside, sat my ear piece. Much to my relief it was working this time round, not static in sight. Well, I couldn't hear it anyway. I could hear my allies speaking into my ear, as they did I subtly looked around the room for them. They were allocated in different areas of the room. Most of them remaining hidden.
Not from my eyes of course. Never my eyes.
Even though they were hidden from the view of everyone else I could tell they were waiting for my signal. But that was something that was only going to happen when the time was perfectly right. Not before and not after.
I kept on moving my feet along the marbled floor, being very careful not to stand on his toes. The man I was dancing with, the very man whose mansion I was trying to infultrate and take over.
One of the voices in to my ear suddenly became louder than the rest of them, it was clearly addressing me.
"Tao, are you okay?" The person on the other isde asked me.
Was I okay? Was I okay? Of course I was okay. I was trained for this kind of thing, I was a spy for crying out loud! I was trained in hiding away and killing bad guys. I done this kind of thiong all the time. Only hours ago had I finished another mission. I was taught to bland and do what I do best, and that's what I was doing right at that very moment.
It was then I nodded, I done it subtly though. I didn't want to get caught out. I needed to make sure that my allies saw it though. For that nod was the very signal that I needed to use. This was time we had all been waiting for.
I lowered my left hand, the very hand that had been at my ear piece. I reached down towards my hidden gun holister. Again, trying not show what I was doing. If I was caught now, it would be the end of the whole operation. I smiled up at the man I was dancing with as I slowly grabbed my gun. It didn't seem like he was aware about what was happening. Or what was going to happen.
The man's face was now one with pure confusion, this confirmed my thoughts. He had no idea what was about to happen. Nor did he know what I was doing.
My fingers clasped around the trigger of my pistol, I lifted my hand and the gun inside it and pointed it straight at his head. But I didn't anticipate what was about to happen...the face change that the man had...it went from a look of confusion, to a smirk. It turns out I was wrong, he knew very well what was going on. It seemed to me that he knew the whole time.
But there was one thing bothering me more than the fact he knew...it was his arrogance. I hated arrogant men smirking more than anything. (Unless it's Kris.) I knew and decided that silence wasn't going to solve anything. Voicing my thoughts might have been a good idea at this point, so that's what I done.
"You think you're clever don't you?" I asked him, my voice challenging him. My jaw clenched, talking to this guy reall pissed me off. "I see straight through what you're trying to do."
"Oh really?" He replied, his voice equally as challenging. He lifted an eyebrow as he spoke to me, it disappeared beneath his hair.  "How's one measly little boy going to stop me?"
Despite my better nature and despite my hate for it, it was my turn to smirk. As my smirk widened and made itself comfortable on my face, my allies showed themselves. One by one. They too held smirks on their faces. That wasn't the only things they had, each of them also had a gun of some kind in their hand. Facing the very man we were trying to beat.
His face became shocked very quickly, I wasn't alone like he thought I was. I had eleven other people with me, that made it at least twelve guns facing him. Some of us had more that one gun, so this made him outnumbered. And very, very stuck.
But then my mood shifted, something had unsettled me. It was the fact he thought I couldn't beat him on my own. It disgusted me. It made anger boil inside of me, it made me want to prove myself to him. I could beat him on my own. I sneared at him, I wouldn't let him get away with this. I brought my foot up and kicked him directly in the balls.
He instantly fell to his knees, his mouth agape in pain. His eyes closer as he clutched himself, his teeth catching onto his bottom lip. It looked like he wanted the pain to stop so badly. But just as I was about to hit him again, he bit me straight in the shin. I screamed in pain and I too, feel to floor. Tears pours down my face and blood poured down my leg.
I I was sure of it, because when I opened my eyes again I was being carried on Kris' back. Next to me was the man, handcuffed. Pain was still evident on his face. I couldn't help but grin at the sight of him. The handcuffs proved that we had beaten him. He looked towards me ans scowled. Luhan was the one holding him, he pushed away and towards the cells.
After a few minutes I was in the first aid area, courtsey of my boyfriend. I looked at him, awfully grateful for him bringing me here. I smiled, but he didn't smile back at me. If anything he looked like he was about to cry. His eyes were watery and puffy. Itr seemed like he had already cried. This in turn made my smile falter.
"Kris, what's wrong?" I asked him.
As I asked him that question he slowly took my hand in his. Tears falling on our joined hands, he had started to cry. I gave him a moment before he started to reply to me. Whatever had happened must have been hard on him.
"Tao...Taozi..." He managed to mutter. I listened, waiting for what he had to say to me. "You nearly died...I nearly lost you...he bit you right next to a vital artery...you lost so much blood."
As he tells me this I try to take it all in. I squeeze his hand, trying to give him some reassurance. But that is rather hard to do, after I found out I nearly died. He tells me this information through many sobs and while tears are still fresh on his gorgeous face. The very sight of it makes me start to cry too.
"Y-You haven't lost me though..." I stutter out.
He nods in understanding. "I know Taozi..." He tells me, rubbing the top of my hand with his thumb. "But knowing that I nearly did...I can't bear it...I just-"
His sobbing continued and it continued to break my heart and it made me cry more than I already was. I know how I would feel if I nearl lost Kris, so I can only imagine how he feels right now. I pull my hand away from his and he looks up at me. I place both my hands on his face and kiss him gently.
"I promise you. Promise you. That I will never leave you. Ever."
Kris grabs the back of my neck and kisses me with all the feeling he has, I can feel it. He pulls away and smiles at me. His tears have finally ceased. I smile back at him and stare deeply into his eyes.
"I know Taozi...I love you..."
"I love you too, Kris."
Chapter 1: Aww, I didn't imagine kris to cry in here :D
