Helena:

I woke up sitting in the chair of my room. Brendon was laying in the bed in a state similar to human sleep. I found out that we were the only Reborn capable to sleep, the most human ones. I raised and took my necklace off of my neck and put it on my desk. I walked off of my room giving a last look to Brendon before exiting and heading to the elevator. I saw some other Reborns working, but I knew only a few of them. Right now I’m headed to do something very important that can ruin or save my life (and Brendon’s too), I just ignored everyone and walked on the elevator. Once inside the elevator, I pressed the button to the highest floor. I was happy to be half robot now, I could perfectly hide how nervous I was and if I were human I would not have this ability. I arrived to the last floor and Wu Han’s security guards were outside his room. I know them as i know myself.

-Stop, who’s there? –Asked Ravi, one of the guards

-Ravi, don’t pretend you don’t know me –I whimpered as if I were sad ‘cause of his atitude- It’s my responsibility to keep you guys going straight a long time without the cooldown
-Sorry Hel, Ravi is too deep in the security processes –Said N
-Yeah, I know it, his loyalty is the highest one. I really appreciate that thought, know that president Wu Han is safe is kinda a relieve –I said

I’m the engineer responsible to keep the guards of president Wu Han working without the cooldown time at least once in every two weeks. I made it to the need of once in every month, a great progress. I’m the best engineer around here, the only one who made such a progress. I looked at the six guys, they were the first of project Rebirth, the first Reborns: Ravi, N, Leo, Hyuk, Ken and Hongbin. Hongbin? I looked around and he was nowhere to be seen.

-Where's Hongbin? -I asked
-He is off. He's in here the most time, but he is also wanting to be an engineer -Ken
-If he decides to take both works, he'll need to cooldown more often -Me
-We know it, that's why we switch turns -Hyuk
-Wu Han's security is the priority, we can't let Hongbin overwork, so we switch turns and copy the archives to Hongbin later -Ravi
-I see, good work guys, but i'm afraid you'll all need to cooldown one week sooner now -Me
-Not for long right? -Ken
-Of course not -I giggled- I'm the best engineer at Wu Han Company, i'll improve the process so fast that you won't even see it
-So overconfident -Said Leo, it's the first time he speaks, he's not one to talk actually
-I thought the cat had eaten your tongue Leo -He smiled at my comment- and yes, i am overconfident, i work all night to improve the process and i'm close to find something better for you -Me
-But? -Leo
-How did you know there was a "but" in this phrase Leo? -Me
-I read you like an open book Hel, between the 7 of us, you're the most human one. It's really slightly, but i can still read it -Leo

I got scared. I looked human? Even scared, i just smiled at that words.

-My my my, you've gotten sharp Leo, i'm proud of my work now. You're improving your skills really fast -Me
-Well, thanks -He said smiling
-Aren't you going to tell us that "but"? -N
-Of course i will -I sighted- The process could be improved really faster if you were full emersed as cyborgs, but...-I got cut by Hongbin that was just entering the room
-But we're Reborns, we're half humans -Hongbin
-Hi to you too -I said and he smiled as if he was apologizing- and yes, that's the point. The human parts of your body would be destroyed if the process was aplied to you in it's current stage. It's too rought.
-Is there any way to aply the process in our bodies without harming it? -Ravi
-That's what i work for honey -I blinked an eye to Ravi- If someone can find the way to do it, this someone is me
-I have to agree -Hongbin said and the others nodded in agreement
-Well guys, i love to talk to you, but i came to see your boss. It's important -Me
-Oh, right -Said N heading to the door of Wu Han's office and he openned it
-What is it N? -I heard Wu Han's voice saying
-Helena's here to talk to you sir -N
-Oh, let her in -Wu Han

N looked at smiling and walked away from the door.

-You heard him, go in -N

I smiled and walked in, closing the door behind me and looking at Wu Han. He was really handsome, his light blond hair, dark eyes, flawless skin and soft pink lips made him really good looking, his eyebrowns were kind of big, but they made he look more intimidating and scary. It was his charm, in my opinion.

-Welcome my prodige girl -He said
-Oh, i'm nothing like that -I said laughting a little

He smiled a little, a tiny sweet smile that made him look almost cute.

-What brings you here daughter? -He
-The reborn 97KTR1 -Me
-Is something wrong with him? -He showned a worried face
-Actually, the oposite -Me
-Sorry, i don't get it -He said with a confused expression
-He awakened and just short while after i talked about the project Rebirth and the engineers working on it he said he wanted to become one too -Me
-Wow! -He looked surprised- That's..... Unexpected and... amazing
-I know, that's why i'm here -I smiled- I want him working under me and permision to study his behavior, to see if he's harmful or not
-Well, of course he can work under you, if someone can find out why he's acting like this, this one is you
-Thanks, it'll be a nice add to my engineer files -Me
-I also want to ask you a favor, since you're already here -He
-Sure -Me
-The boys out there... -He
-The VIXX? -Me
-Yeah... I heard they want to be engineers -He
-Oh, that. They'll need to cooldown a week sooner now -Me
-No, they won't -He
-Sorry? -I said looking at him a little bit confused
-I want them to also work under you -He

-'Cause i want to be protected all the time -He looked like he had a bunch of emotions now, the strongest ones were fear, worry, sadness and anger

-I'm not Wu Han, i'm his son Wu Yifan. I'm not a cyborg, i'm a human -Kris

My jaw dropped and he laughted a little from my reaction;

-I see i took you by surprise -Kris
-Well, yes -I said as i returned to my normal posture- i'm still loyal to you, if You're Wu Han's son, then you're the heir of this company and it means he couldn't keep comanding it
-Yes, he couldn't -Kris looked sad- He died in a fire 8 years ago, his body was completely burned so he couldn't atonish his biggest dream
-What dream was it? -Me
-He wanted to become one with the project he created -Kris
-He wanted to become a Reborn?! -I said surprised
-You almost look human reacting like this -He said and smiled as i was hiding my expression of surprise, he nodded -But i guess it's ok, since this was his goal
-What was his goal? -Me
-To make humans that were considered dead come back to life, as humans not as metal moving things, he wanted them to be alive and to be human again -Kris

I sat in a chair.

-That's a lot of information to file -Me
-I know -Kris
-Who's going to protect you when the VIXX squad get to work under me? -Me
-11 Reborn made for fighting, each one with a special ability and i want you to make and mantain them -Kris
-Sure si... eh, Kris -He smiled- What kind of abilities you want? -Me
-Supernatural abilities -Kris
-Well, i'll need to work in each of them for at least a week and to find bodies that'll match the abilities you want -Me
-I know, you'll have acess to everything you need for building them even without coming here and if anyone get in your way then call me. I'll also let one or two members of the VIXX to help you whenever you need and the model 97TKR1 should also work into this -Kris
-Sure -I smiled- What a great project
-Indeed, i already have a list of the abilities i want on them -Kris
-Then -I raised- what are we waiting for? We must start the project as soon as possible
-Sure -He grabbed a pendrive and gave it to me- The list is here 
-Should i tell the VIXX about the project? -Me
-Yes... Just -Kris
-Don't tell them about you being Wu Yifan, right? -Me
-Yeah, that's it -Kris
-Don't worry about it -I said and he smiled with relief- Does this new elite group have a name?
-Yes, It is EXODUS, EXO for making it short -Kris
-Ok -Me

I was about to leave when he called my name.

-Helena? -Kris

I turned back.

-Yes? -Me
-Don't fear your human side and don't hide it from me, it is a beautiful side -Kris
-But sir, there are rules about it -I said, starting to worry
-First, stop calling me sir and call me Kris already and second, they're my father's rules. I'm the one commanding this company now and i can change the rules a little if i want. You don't need to hide, at least not from me -Kris

I was surprised and suddently i felt my cheeks got warm and wet. Tears? Was i crying? Kris got up his seat and hugged me. I don't know why, but i fell to my knees, his strong arms were around my shouders and kept me up, holding tightly.

-Why are you crying? -Kris
-Don't know -I thinked a little- I think i am happy....... and relieved. I was tired of having to hide and then Brendon came and i feared for him
-Brendon? -Kris
-I.... am afraid, i've already talked too much about it -Me
-You can talk to me, no need to hide anymore -Kris
-It is..... -I thinked and decided to speak the truth- the name of the model 97TKR1 
-Why you feared for him? -Kris
-Well, i feared for myself too -Me
-Just explain it daughter -Kris
-I never understood why you call me daughter -Me
-First, don't change the subject, second stop crying, i'm here now and third, that's story for telling later -Kris

We sat in a sofa an he caressed my hand looking at me with worried eyes. He really looked like a father.

-Brendon, he..... have memories of his human life and also the feelings of that life, he have his own will too. I'm one of his memories -I said efforting to stop crying and to talk the truth
-That's...-Kris was saying, but i stopped him
-Wait, there's more -I said and he nodded sinalizing i should keep up- When he told me his name, memories of my accident came up to me. I was with him in that accident, it was a plane crash and that's how our bodies were destroyed
-Wow! -Kris's jaw dropped- That's.... amazing.... Hel, i have a request for you
-Sure -I said and managed to stop crying as i saw his happy face
-I want you to make sure that all EXO members have their human memories -Kris
-Sure -I nodded and smiled- Kris?
-Yes? -Kris
-May i ask you why these rules are being aplied now? -Me
-They're not officially aplied, they're valid only for those involved in the EXO project and the EXO themselves. You can only show your emotions to me, the VIXX, the EXO or Brendon and the same is valid for them. Only those involved in the project can show emotions and only when no one else is near us -Kris
-But why? -Me
-Can't explain it now, for your own safety, but once the EXO are built i'll tell everyone -He stopped, thinking- Tell VIXX about the project and the whole feelings and memories thing and about the new rules, tell Brendon too, but tell it only to them
-Will Brendon be safe? -Me
-Yes, and he'll be working under you so keep an eye on him and keep him safe -Kris
-Sure -Me
-Aw man -He sighted- This whole thing can save us or doom us forever
-Us? -Me
-I'll explain once everything is done -Kris
-Ok -Me

A silence fell between us for a while

-Kris? -Me
-Yes? -Kris
-Why do you call me daughter? -Me
-'Cause i'm the engineer who built you -Kris said smiling

            Brendon:

I woke up in Helena's room, i openned my eyes slowly and searched trough the room, but she was nowhere to be found. I sat in the bed and stayed still, looking at the room. Last night she said i shouldn't leave the room without her. She entered the room not much time after i woke up. She turned to me and smiled, a stunning and pretty smile, full of happiness. She walked to her desk and picked something up, tying something to her neck.

-We have work -Helena- We need to get the files on engine downloaded to your system and clothes that you like
-Sure -I looked at her neck, there was a necklace there and i felt my cheeks got wet

She ran towards me caressing my cheeks and wiping tears away. This touch meant nothing for her since she didn't have her memories, but it meant the world to me.

-Why are you crying? -Helena
-That necklace -Me
-Huh? -She looked confused- What's about it? -She let go on my cheeks and i missed her touch only one second after that
-You don't remember? -Me
-This necklace was mine before the accident, they said i couldn't have any old things back, the things from my human life. In that time i thought i was used as lab rat and was really angry, so i got this necklace back as a rebel act. I felt like it were important before -Helena
-It was, for both of us -Me
-Oh...... -She looked lost

I touched her face slghtly and then downed my hand to the silver wolf pendant of the necklace.

-I gave this to you one day before the crash -Me
-Oh... I... I'm sorry -Helena
-For what? -Me
-For what i can't remember anything but a slightly piece of our crash -Helena
-It's ok, it's not your fault -Me
-Ok, i'll think about it later -She sighted- We have work to do

She got to her desk and picked a cable that was conected to her computer. She linked it into her nape and her eyes lit up with a pure white light. The computer screen .

-Linking...... Done -Veronica

Everything was quiet for a while. A "beep" sound came from the screen and then a bar showned up. Above it was writing "copying" and the bar was slowly filling up. I waited for the bar to fill for a time that looked like eternity.

-The copy of archives is ready. Unlinking... -Veronica, the light of Helena's eyes disapeared- Done

Helena raised from the chair smiling.

-Veronica, prepare to copy to another model -Helena
-Preparing archives..... -Veronica

Helena walked to me and took my hand, guiding me to the chair.

-Done -Veronica

She grabbed the cable and put it in a spot in my nape, it looked like the center.

-Relax -She caressed my hair, i didn't notice i were tense until she started to calm me down- Sweet sleep

Then she plugged the cable, my eyes were blinded by a white light, but my mind fell into darkness.

-Surprised? -Kris
-For sure -Me
-I'm human, but that doesn't mean that i can't be an good engineer -Kris

-It's ok -He took a deep breath- Well, you're my cousin
-What?! -I almost fell from the sofa, i was really surprised
-My father was your mother's brother and i took you to our house after she died. She was really a nice mother, i wish you could remember her. She and my father died in the same fire, it was in your house and my father was there for a visit, you were at school that day.I chose to protect you and started to act like a big brother -Kris
-Or a father -Me
-Yes, something like that -He smiled- You were off on a holliday when the plane crashed and then... i was scared. I feared to lose my only family left in the world. I was going to take only your body, but your boyfriend was also there, so i took him too for you to be happy. I brought you here, i just wanted to have back my family, but when i discovered the rules of the project it was too late, i couldn't give up on you. So i came up with a plan, i built you myself and ensured that you were still capable of regaining your memories once you had a trigger, but until then they would keep hidden. I also make sure you would have feelings and your own will and ensured that someone would tell you all the rules about feelings being forbidden. I built you the best way i could and you even got over my engineer's ability, i am so proud of you. You must know now who is your trigger.
-Brendon -I said without any doubt
-Exactly, he was your boyfriend and i assured that even after so much time dead his memories would still be there for when you had to work on him and also his feelings and his own will, his will was suposed to awaken yours. Gladly, it worked. The time has come and once the EXO project is done i'll tell you the rest.
-Ok -I felt tears behind my eyes, but refused to let them flow- Thanks you Kris
-Nothing, it's good to be having you back again, even if it is slowly. Calling you daughter was a little bit weird thought, since i acted more like a big brother before -Kris
-It's ok daddy -I said smiling teasingly
-Good, now we must have the project done as soon as possible -He said also smiling
-Understood -I said and raised from the sofa- All this time i thought i was used like a lab rat and in the end i was rebuilt by someone who loved me like a sister. I'm kinda ashamed and reliefed. Thank you Brother

He waved with his hand and i walked of the room to explain the project to the VIXX.

-Copy is complete -Veronica's voice awakened me from my numb sleep full with memories
-Unlink -Me
-Unlinking....... -Veronica, the white light faded of Brendon's eyes- done

I got to him, he was clearly confused and looked into my eyes.

-What's this? -Brendon
-I only downloaded the information you need to know about engines so you can work with me -Me
-Oh... It's an interesting work -He
-Yes it is -I smiled- Can you find all the information? -He nodded- About EXO project and it's rules too 
-Mhum, most of what i'm thinking now is about it -He
-Great, we need to start now -Me

I went to a wardrobe and picked some clothes for him.

-Get changed -Me
-With you here? -He looked kind of shocked
-What's the matter? -Me
-It's just...... -He smiled- It's nothing, i'll get changed as fast as i can so we can start

I touched my necklace. I wouldn't hide it anymore. When i looked back up, Brendon had already changed his hospital like clothes to a pair of jeans, boots, a grey t-shirt and a coat.

-Just a second, i need to look at the list of abilities the boss wants -Me

I inserted the pendrive at the computer and looked at the list:
EXODUS's abilities:
1-Flight and fire manipulation
2-Light manipulation
3-Wind manipulation
4-Teleporting
5-Earth manipulation
6-Ice manipulation
7-Healing itself and others too
8-Telekinesis, telepathy and mind control
9-Lightning manipulation

PS: All of this abilities must be in the highest of their strenght.
Reading that i recorded it on my memory files and got up, deleting it.

-We're searching for the light controler first, it'll be easier to find a body that suits this ability -Me

We walked off of my room and went to the bodies storage, it took only one hour to find someone who would fit the description.

It's been a week since we started working on his body. I can't remember the last time i got some sleep. The only VIXX member helping on this one was Ravi. They wanted him to get used to the idea of being far from their boss's room since he wouldn't be close there for a long while. We started to initialize the body of the boy in the bed. All files were downloaded to his system before waking him up. Once he sat on the bed he looked at us.

-So, what's your name? -I asked
-Baekhyun. -He said
-Ok -I said writing down his name- Welcome Baekhyun, bearer of the light
-Thanks. Are we going to find another body now? -Baekhyun
-Yes, we're going to search for the fire bearer -Me
-I want to help -Baekhyun
-Ok, 4 is better than 3 -I looked at Ravi- Can you get him some clothes? 
-Sure -Ravi said and left
-Can i call you Baek? It's shorter than Baekhyun -I looked at the light boy
-Sure, it's fine -Baekhyun
-Ok, so then, Baek, you look so gloomy. Why the light bearer has such a dark look? -Me
-My memories, they showned me someone i may never find ever again -Baekhyun
-Someone you hold dear? -Me
-Yes, my boyfriend -Baekhyun
-Oh... We'll try to find him, i swear -Me
-Thank you -Baekhyun

Ravi came back with the clothes, i showned Baekhyun where was the bathroom and he got there to get dressed. As soon as he came out we went to bodies storage to find someone that could fit the requisites of the fire bearer. After four hours of search we were almost giving up, untill we heard Baekhyun scream and cry. We ran towards him only to find him looking at the inside of one of the giant metal tubes that contained bodies.

-It's him, it is Chanyeol -Baekhyun

I looked at him and then to the inside of the tube. A handsome boy with a dark hair was floating inside there. An arm was missing. 

-Is this your boyfriend Baek? -I asked and the light boy nodded

I took my phone and plugged it at the tube. After a while, i smiled softly and looked at Baekhyun's worried stare.

-Congrats lighty boy, you found our fire bearer -I said and smiled as i saw a deep relief in Baekhyun's eyes
