It was the start of the new semester. You guys were in your final year of college.

“Hey mum, I’m gonna fetch you and head to school alright” I screamed as I head to the front door.

“Hey Mark! Say hi to you for me. Bring her home for dinner. It would be nice to be able to spend some time with my future daughter in law.” I squinted my eyes.

“Nice dad nice. Try something else we’re friends that’s it” I yelled rolling my eyes at him.

I drove my way to her house. My heart was racing. Nope, I don’t know why. As I check myself in the review mirror. I sighed. Causing it to be condensed. What am I doing! Mark stop Mark. I took out my phone I dialled you’s number.

“Hey, I’m kinda outside. Can you hurry up?” I said sounding gentle. Trying to calm myself down. Then I saw her. Heading out of the door wearing a white top with a tight blue jeans. With her hair let down till the length of her shoulders. I smiled.

“Hello? Earth to mark?” I smile.

“For a lady, you lack manners” I replied. I heard a tsked from her small lips.

The journey to school was a silent one. I smile. Happy that she is by my side for now.
