Namjoon takes a deep breath and stares at himself in the mirror of his bathroom. He can hear the TV playing downstairs and the laughter of his parents, probably watching Running Man again since they record almost every episode. The light is dim and he wrinkles his nose before leaning up to screw it in and watches as the light turns brighter. 

"Okay," he sighs. 

He thinks that maybe this is a really dumb idea the longer he stands in the bathroom. At first when he was talking himself through it as he walked home, it sounded like a good plan but now-he looks at the seashell decorations around the mirror and grimaces-it doesn't anymore. 

"Just practice what you wrote down," he grumbles. 

His appa laughs particularly loud at something and Namjoon begins pacing in the bathroom, walking his sock covered feet over the baby blue rug and glances at the ocean themed curtains before turning back around. 

"I mean it's not like you're even talking to her. Anna is not even here and you can't even say it to yourself?"

"Hey I'm doing perfe-"

He stops when he realizes that he's talking to himself and smacks the heel of his hand against his forehead before going back to stand at the sink in front of the mirror. He takes a deep breath and exhales before doing it three more times and finally squishes his cheeks together.

"Just. Start. Already."

He lets his cheeks go and stands up straight before nodding. "Alright."

Five seconds later...

Ten seconds later..

Three minutes later...

"Argh!" he throws his hands up in frustration and in the process of catching a fit he stubs his toe on the corner of the bathroom cabinet and yelps out in pain before reaching to grab his foot.

"Namjoon honey, are you alright?" he hears his mother shout.

He hops in place while trying to hold his foot before he makes it to the toilet seat and sits down while trying not to cry. He's a man and he can handle getting his toe stubbed but !

It hurts!

"I'm fine!" he manages to shout back.

Namjoon shuts his eyes and rubs his big toe with his hand before groaning. "The things you put me through Anna,"
