When he wakes, the open sky above him is a mesh of soft oranges and yellows. There is no sun that shines, but yet he feels warmth, cool when the light breeze graze his cheeks.

He hears the gentle hum of water against sand and he turns his head to find her, sitting cross legged, grinning down at him.

Her eyes sparkle and she's glowing.

"Hello."

He blinks, and the image is gone, replaced by the dull white of his ceiling. His mother is calling him from down stairs and he sits up, the bright sun glaring through his window.

He gets ready quickly, inhaling his breakfast and rushing off to school, eager to sleep and to dream.

Eager to return.

This is so far the longest oneshot I've written, which, I've realized isn't so great since I've read far longer oneshots. But, I tried and this is what came of it and took me forever. I tried to write some fantasy thingy - and does this even count? - but yeah, here you go.
