Kim Jongin or Kai
Popular and handsome, he is the heartbreaker at school. Behind his complexion lies a cold personality, choosing to clash with whoever crosses his path. When his mother forces him to propose to Sera, his steely exterior slowly crumbles as he is forced to confront a frightening secret.
Go Sera
The opposite of Kai, she often kept to herself with only a few friends from her childhood. Quiet and conservative, she tried to avoid attention. Coming from a wealthy family, her parents confronted her for an early marriage with Jongin, an idea she had never considered but always dreamed of having. She slowly changes from her silent self, willing to do anything to protect him.
Noh Sooyun
An admirer of Kai, she is unwilling to forget the childhood she had shared with him. After being hospitalized, she arrives back in the Kim manor with only one goal in mind: to overthrow Go Sera.
Byun Min
Half brothers with Kim Jongin, Min was the bastard child in this chaebol society. Finding asylum in Sera, he is not willing to let her go. The hatred toward Kai is fueled by the past; what could've went wrong?

His fingers gripped the handle, her sleeping body curled on the bed. Silent tears dripped down his cheeks as he stood at the door.
She was covering with her hand, holding back the sobs that were causing her chest to heave. Face buried in the blanket, she gasped quietly.
She knew that he would leave her. Her heart was prepared for the backlash.
Then why was she crying so hard?
