Chapter 5

 

SooSicaFany’s POV

‘ I’m your what? ’ Sica asks

‘ You are my girlfriend. Did you get hurt? ’ Soo turns Sica around

‘ Who’s Fany to you? ’ Sica asks

‘ Fany is my bestfriend ’

Fany is shock from what Soo just said.

‘ I’ll call the doctor ’ Fany quickly walks out the room searching for the doctor

After Fany left, Soo hugs Sica tightly

‘ You scared me so much. What if the car hit you? Next time look before you cross the street ’ Soo said

 

Sica pushes Soo away

‘ We broke up remember ’

Soo chuckles ‘ Stop joking around. You are my girlfriend ’

The door suddenly opens, Soo saw YoonYul and Taecyeon comes in. Then moment Yoong saw Soo she runs toward her

 

‘ You scared me so much Soo. How are you? ’ Yoong asks

‘ Yoong? Since when you are back? ’

Yoong pulls off the hug and look at Soo ‘ That’s not funny Soo, don’t play around ’

‘ What are you talking about? I’m asking you, when did you get back? ’

‘ I’m back a week ago ’

Soo hits Yoong’s head

‘ Ouch..... ’

‘ You are back a week ago and you come to see me now ’

Everyone in the room look at Sica then they saw Fany comes in with the doctor.

‘ I’ll check on Sooyoung, please wait outside ’

They went out

‘ Fany, what happen to Soo? ’ Yoong asks

‘ I don’t know ’

After a while the doctor comes out

‘ Doctor, how is she? ’ Fany asks

‘ Sooyoung got amnesia ’

‘ Amnesia? ’

The doctor nods ‘ She only have the memories of three years ago during these past two years she can’t remember ’

 

‘ When she will remember? ’ Yul asks

 

‘ We don’t know. Maybe a day, a week, a few months we don’t know. It depend on her ’

Two weeks later

‘ Sica, can we go home now? ’ Soo whines

‘ No, stop clinging on me. You are living with Fany now ’

‘ Wae, I don’t wanna live with Fany. I just wanna live with you ’ Soo still whining

 

Fany enters the room and saw Soo whining

 

‘ What happen? ’

‘ Fany, Sica don’t let me go home with her ’

‘ Have a rest, I’ll talk to Sica ok ’ Fany smiles

Soo nods. Fany puts a blanket on Soo then JeTi walks out the room.

In the alley

‘ Sica, please do me a favor. Let Soo live with you during this time ’

‘ You must be kidding me right? ’

‘ Sica, in Soo’s memories she just remember that you are still her girlfriend. Please, just..... ’

 

‘ You want me to pretend to be her girlfriend? ’

Fany nods

‘ Yah....are you crazy. I have a boyfriend remember ’

‘ I just a while Sica ’

‘ Let me tell her that she is with you now ’ Sica is about to stand up but Fany took her wrist

 

‘ Please don’t, she is not completely heal ’

Sica sits down

‘ Sica please just help me one more time ’ Fany asked with teary eyes

Sica sighs ‘ I’ll kick her out if she bothers me ’

Fany hugs Sica ‘ Thank you ’

They went back to Soo and she saw her playing with her iPad

Fany went next to Soo

‘ Soo, you can move back with Sica ’ Fany forces a smiles

‘ Really? ’ Soo asks excitedly

Fany nods. Soo jumps up happily and hugs Sica.

‘ Yah.....don’t hug me ’ Sica pushes Soo away.

Soo falls on the bed

‘ Soo, are you alright? ’ Fany asks worriedly

‘ I’m fine ’

Fany gives a deadly glance at Sica and drags her out the room.

‘ What are you doing? You can hurt her ’ Fany said

‘ Yah, she suddenly hugs me ’

‘ Please don’t do this to her again. If I know you hurt her I won’t forgive you ’

‘ Yah....Tiffany Hwang I’m your best friend ’

‘ Soo is my girlfriend. Please Sica take care of her for me ’

‘ Argh.....fine I’ll try not to kill her ’

Sica gulps seeing hellfany almost on

‘ I was kidding. I’ll take care of her ’

Fany packs Soo’s stuff

‘ Fany, I can do it by myself ’ Soo said

‘ I’ll do it for you ’

After Fany finish packing, they went back to Sica’s place. The moment Soo enters the apartment

 

‘ Finally home ’ Soo jumps around

‘ I’ll put your stuff in your room ’ Fany walks away

Sica follows Fany into the guest room and saw Fany wipping her tears

‘ Fany are you alright? ’

‘ It hurt Sica ’

Sica hugs Fany ‘ I promise that I’ll take care of her and give her back to you alive ’ she jokes

 

Fany chuckles ‘ You better do ’

Sica nods

After dinner, Fany left. Sica is washing the dishes

‘ I’ll do it ’ Soo said

‘ You sit down ’ Sica ordered

‘ But.... ’

‘ No but, just get out of my way ’ Sica said

Soo signs and walk into her room.

YoonYul’s POV

Yul forgot a file at home so she comes back during lunch. When she is near the parking entrance, she saw Yoong comes out with a bouquet of flower.

 

Where is she going? Is she cheating on my brother?????? – Yul thought

 

Yul decides to follow and saw her went into a bus. After more than an hour, she saw Yoong coming out from the bus.

 

Cimetery???

 

Yoong comes out from the car with the flower. Yul secretly follows then saw Yoong stops infront of a tomb.

 

Yoong smiles and puts the flower in front the tomb

‘ Umma, appa I’m back from the States. I’m sorry that I didn’t come earlier ’

Her parents......

‘ Soo got into a car accident a few weeks ago, that’s god that she’s fine. I’m sure you two will look after us ’

 

Yoong wipes her tears ‘ I don’t know what to do if anything happen to her. She is the only family I have in these world. ’

 

Yoong continues to talk to her parents ‘ Oh....look I’m engaged his name is Kwon Taecyeon. He is a great guys, one day I’ll bring him here to meet you. Oh...I forget to tell he also have a sister. You two already know about her, Kwon Yuri ’

 

Her parents knows about me???

‘ Yes, Kwon Yuri my crush. She is Keun-Suk oppa’s sister. I thought I will never meet her again but I was wrong, she’ll be soon my sister-in-law. ’

 

Yul still hiding and listen to Yoong.

 

‘ I miss you guys so much ’ Yoong hugs the tomb ‘ I really want appa to walk me down the aisle but I know this is impossible. I promise that I will be happy ’

 

Yul saw Yoong stands, she is about to walk away and went into her car. She wait inside her car until she saw Yoong. Yoong is sitting at a bench waiting for the bus after a while, the bus arrive. Yul follows the bus from behind and slowly she drives faster. Her car is now next to the bus and saw Yoong sitting near the window. Yoong slowly falls asleep. After an hour, they finally arrive near their apartment. People comes out from the bus but Yul didn’t saw Yoong comes out. The bus is about to drive away, she quickly get off her car and stop the bus.

 

‘ Sorry, my friend is still inside ’

 

Yul climbs inside the bus then saw Yoong still sleeping. A smile appear on Yul’s face, she slowly picks Yoong’s up.

 

‘ Thank you ’ Yul bows to the driver

 

Yul slowly puts Yoong inside her car and puts the seat belts for Yoong. Their face is now less than a inch from each other.

 

Yul suddenly feels

 

Thump

Thump

Thump

Thump

She quickly gets farther and touch her chest

What happen to me???

A knock on the window make her jump, she looks out and saw her brother standing there. Yul pulls down the window

‘ Yul, what are you doing here? ’

‘ I....hmmm.....I........ ’

Then Keun-Suk saw Yoong sleeping in the car

‘ Yoona falls asleep in the bus so I take her in my car ’ Yul quickly said

‘ She must be tired ’ Keun-Suk smiles then looks at Yul

‘ Can you please take Yoong back to the apartment I need to go to the office now ’

‘ Sure ’ Yul smiles

Back to the apartment

Yul slowly lays Yoong on the bed and she stares at the sleeping Yoong.

She is beautiful when she is sleeping..................

When she wants to caress Yoong face, Yoong slowly opens her eyes. Yul quickly went farther

 

Yoong rubs her eyes

‘ Where am I? ’

‘ You were falling asleep in the bus, I saw you and bring you back ’

‘ Thank you ’

‘ You really shouldn’t go out alone. How can you fall asleep in public? If I didn’t see you there then you will get lost somewhere ’ Yul said

 

‘ I’m sorry ’

‘ For what? ’

‘ Making you trouble ’ Yoong looks down

Yul suddenly feels guilty, she didn’t want to scold at Yoong.

‘ Whatever? Sleep a little more oppa will be back in no long ’ with this Yul walks out the room

 

After the door close

 

‘ What happen to me? ’ she talks to herself

A few hours later, Keun-Suk comes back and told them that he’ll go to the States for two weeks.

 

‘ Yul, take care of Yoong for me ’ Keun-Suk said again while walking toward the door

 

‘ Gosh, I will take care of her for these past two weeks. Can you just go now or you will miss your flight ’ Yul said

 

‘ I’ll see you in two weeks oppa ’ Yoong smiles and gives him a peck on the lips

 

After he’s gone, Yoong sits next to Yul.

‘ Yuri ’

‘ Yes? ’

‘ Thank you ’

‘ For what? ’

‘ For being by my side after Soo’s accident and today. It really mean a lot for me ’

Yul secretly smiles

 

‘ No problem, we will be family soon ’

‘ I’m going to prepare dinner, do you wanna join me? ’ Yoong asks

‘ Huh? ’

‘ Forget it, I know you don’t wanna eat with me. I’ll eat in the living room, you can have your dinner in the dinning room ’ Yoong said then get off from the couch

 

Yul grabs Yoong’s wrist and Yoong looks at her confusedly

‘ Let’s have dinner together ’ Yul said

Yoong smiles ‘ Really? ’

Yul nods

‘ What do you wanna eat? ’ Yoong asks

‘ Anything is fine for me ’

Yoong nods and went into the kitchen. While Yoong is preparing dinner, Yul walks in

‘ Need help ’

Yoong shakes her head ‘ I’m fine, thank you ’

Yul nods then go prepare the table. After a while, Yoong comes back with a few dishes

‘ You know to prepare all these ’ Yul asks in surprise

‘ Yes, hope you like it ’

Yul starts to put a piece of fish in

‘ Is delicious ’ Yul said with her eyes on the rice

‘ You like it ’

Yul nods. Yoong smiles and put all the foods in front of Yul

While eating, Yul suddenly asks

‘ Hmmm.......where’s your parents? ’

‘ They passed away when I was 5. I grow up in a orphanage center with Soo ’

It must be difficult for a little girl without parents............-Yul thought

‘ I’m sorry ’

Yoong shakes her head ‘ Is ok ’

‘ I don’t have a lot of friend, I really hope we can be friend ’ Yoong said

‘ Ok ’

‘ Huh? ’

‘ I said ok for us being friend ’ Yul said

‘ Really? ’

Yul nods

‘ Can I call you Yul like oppa? ’

‘ Sure ’

‘ Here eat more Yoong ’

‘ Yoong? ’

‘ Is that what Soo call you right? ’

‘ Yes ’

 

‘ Then I’ll call you Yoong from now on ’ Yul smiles

 

Yoong just looks at Yul

 

‘ Why are you looking at me like this? ’

 

‘ This is the first time you smile at me ’ Yoong said

 

‘ I’m sorry for before ’ Yul said

 

Yoong shakes her head

 

‘ Yoong…..hmm…….can….can I ask you something? ’

 

‘ Sure ’

 

‘ Why you love me? ’

 

‘ You mean loved ’

 

Yul nods

 

‘ We already met before ’ Yoong said

 

‘ Huh? ’

 

* Flashback *

 

15 years ago

 

This is the second day that Yoong arrived at the orphanage center. The same day, Yul and her parents went to visit the orphans and bring them toys and foods. The moment the kids saw the Kwon’s family car, they all runs toward them to have foods and toy but Yoong is the only one who sits at a corner crying. Yul saw the crying Yoong at the corner, she takes a big teddy bear and walk toward the little Yoong.

 

‘ For you ’ Yul smiles and hand the teddy bear to Yoong

 

Yoong tooks it while sobbing and hug it tightly. Yul kneels infront the the crying Yoong and pats her head

 

‘ Don’t cry, now you have the teddy bear. He will protect you ’ Yul smiles then walks away but Yoong grabs Yul’s wrist. Yul turns back

 

‘ I’ll come back every year to see you, if you are a good girl I’ll give you another big teddy bear ’

 

‘ You will come back ’ little Yoong asks

 

‘ Yes, remember my name Kwon Yuri. What’s your name? ’

 

‘ Y-Y-Yoona. Im Yoona ’

 

‘ We’ll see again Yoona ’ Yul said then walks back to her parents

 

After Yul walks away, some kids saw the big teddy bear that Yoong is holding, they tried to take it away from her but little Yoong hugs it tightly.

 

‘ T-This is mine ’ Yoong said

 

‘ Give it to us ’ the little boy said

 

Yoong shakes her head then she heards

 

‘ What are you guys doing? ’ Yul comes back and pushes the guys away from Yoong.

 

Seeing the crying Yoong, she quickly wraps her arms protectively around Yoong’s shoulder

 

‘ If you guys dare to bully Yoona again, I promise that you won’t have any toys or foods the next time we’ll come ’ Yul said agrily

 

‘ Now say sorry to Yoona ’

 

‘ I’m sorry ’ the boy said then run away

 

After the kid left, Yul looks at Yoong

 

‘ Did he hurt you? ’

 

Yoong shakes her head and hugs Yul while crying

 

‘ Shhh……don’t cry. I’ll protect you ’ little Yul said

 

‘ Really? ’ Yoong looks at Yul’s

 

Yul smiles and nods

 

‘ Yul, we need to leave now ’ Yul’s mother said

 

‘ I’m coming ’

 

‘ I’ll see you next time ’ Yul then walks away but Yoong grabs Yul’s hand

 

‘ P-Please don’t leave me ’

 

‘ I promise I’ll come back to see you ’ Yul kisses Yoong’s forehead then walks back to the car

 

Yoong is waiting for Yul everyday, everytimes Yul comes, she’ll play with Yoong and bring her foods and toys for Yoong only.

 

After a few times, Yul didn’t come anymore. Yoong is waiting to see Yul again until the day they met again at the university but at this time Yul already forget about the doe-eyes girl.
