Afternoon-2

Kim looked up at the clock . it was almost time for her to get to her part time job . she grabbed her bag and jacket and made her way towards the small cafe. she  really liked this cafe. it was on the corner of a quiet street away from a lot of the hustle and bustle yet it always seemed busy inside . it was pretty cool aswell . the downstairs was cute , light and refreshing where they served dessert while upstairs there was a  traditional koreanrestaurant with everything you could think of from bibbimbap to kimchi jjegge

She put on her apron and tied back her fringe. it did make her look like a kid  with apple hair but she didnt really care as long as no one complained about hair in their food. she put a mask on before frying the chilies or things could get really hot in there.she worked endlessly making plate after plate and bowl after bowl of food until the customers slowly vanished, she looked up at the clock

"phew only an hour until closing time"

Just as she was about to clean up two young men walked into the cafe . she went to the front to greet them and got a better view of their faces.One of them had light brown almost blond hair and and a pretty face most girls would die for while the other- wait she recognized him, oh it was him from earlier, the one with the suitcase she could see his features more clearly. he had a darker shade of brown in his hair it was wavy and fluffy at the same time . honestly he was sorta cute-no stop -.but there was no time for that now, time to greet the customers

"annyeonghaseyo welcome what would you like to order? the cafe is here in the lower level while the korean restaurant is upstairs" she said politly with a bow

"we're looking for something sweet if you wouldn't mind" replied the pretty one

"of course please take a seat and tell me when you ready to order, call me kim by the way"

"kim?"

"im not sure what the exact formality is since im sort of new to korean culture but its a little weird for you to call me ajjushi or ajjuma or something of the sort especially when we're probably the same age"

"really?"

"yeah we don't tend to get a lot of students because everyone is away on vacation"

"wait how did you know we're students? are you some sort of telepath or stalker?"

"your student ID is hanging around your neck"

"oh"

Yixing bit his lip in an attempt to stop laughing and dragged his dumbstruck friend to a table

"thanks we'll let you know when we're ready to order"

They sat down at a table and looked down at the menu

"dude you have to try the cheesecake here its the best thing on the menu, they dont have anything close to this anywhere else in town"

"really which one?"

"huh?"

" it says they have strawberry cheesecake , cookies and cream cheesecake, honey cheese cake ... hold up is that vanilla cheese cake?"

"yep and its the best thing ive ever tasted"

"okay then lets order that"

"um kim-sshi? we're ready to order"

"ok ill be right there"

kim straightened her apron and picked up her notebook aas she walked towards the table walked towards the table

"so what would like to order?"

" two servings of vanilla cheesecake  and two cappucinos "

After jotting down the order kim hurried back to the front while yixing looked on in amusment as her fringe wobbled from side to side as she walked on.

After she had served the boys and the cafe had shut down .she said goodbye the owners with a sweet smile and a bow . they were a kind elderly couple who would often talk about their grandchildren and old stories about their past. kim admired them in a way. the way they were still so love with eachother even after so many years and how they had worked so hard to open the cafe/restaurant. It was a shame that kim wouldnt be able to help them like she did over the summer. school was starting soon and she would need to focus on her studies but she had promised the old couple she would help out when she could.

By the time she had arrived back at the school most of the students had already arrived but she was tired to socialize with anyone today. she let herself in for an early night as she hummed a familiar tune to sleep.
