“Unnie! Did you do what I asked you to do? Did you get it?” Seohyun asked frantically the moment Sunny entered the van

Sunny sigh and shook her head “There are a lot of means Seo Joo Hyun, why me?” she whined at her

Seohyun pouted, her hands clasped together and gave Sunny her best puppy eyes “Just this once… did you get it?” now her palms rubbing each other

The corner of Sunny’s mouth turned up while looking at their maknae, head still shaking she answered “Yes, I got it, aigoo”

Seohyun heaved a sigh of relief, she did not even know she held her breath while waiting for her answer

Now with a wide smile on her lips she waived her hand phone in front of Sunny’s face while her eyebrows moved up and down

“Arasso, arasso” Laughing at their maknae's antics she fished  for her own hand phone in order for her to give what she wants

Seohyun fidgets as she waits impatiently while staring outside the moving van when something caught her eyes that made her remember that day, the wine store where she bought the Champaign that night, more than a year ago, the day that she regrets the most

Sunny was about to hand it to her when she noticed Seohyun’s faraway look on her eyes, so she just let her

It was their joint birthday celebration and she was excited for their date, yes date, and a rare one at that due to their hectic schedules.

She was busy the whole day in preparation for that night. She cooked her specialty refusing the help extended by her loving mother.

She wanted that day to be special since it was one of the rare moments that they are together and she’s so hyped about it.

She even arranged for her parents to be out on a date too, so that they can have the place on their own, and they were gone late in the afternoon and will be home probably by midnight.

Her excitement arises when she saw the clock ticked at 5 she started to take a bath and sang songs while doing it.

She prepared the table and waits excitedly on the couch”7pm hurry” she murmured still on a playful mood

until the clock ticked to 7 pm…. 7:30… 8:00

“He’s late.” she said as she looks at her wrist watch. Her stomach started grumbling for food. She took her phone and tried to contact him but she heard a busy tone.

She drank water to lessen her hunger and started to pace. 8:30…. She sat down on her sofa staring at the television blankly. 

Frustration and anger started to rise with hunger. She looked at the dining table fully set. The bottle of Champaign in a bucket previously full of ice was now surrounded with water. 

9:00 pm her phone rang she knew who her caller was but she opted to ignore it. Then again it rang the second time. She answered it in a weak voice. “Yes?”

“Mianhe, I can’t be with you tonight. There was a change in shooting schedule. I’m sorry I’ve called you late.” 

She cleared before she spoke “Okay. Do what you need to do. I’ll have my dinner then.” 

“Okay. Enjoy your dinner. Bye!” he ended the call

She sat there in silence. She never felt so lonely in her life. A soft sob escaped . She cried her heart out the whole night. And she woke up with a heavy heart.

She tried calling him that next day but the call did not push through and when it did her disappointment was at a max level she can’t help but say “It’s over, I’m sorry”

With that they broke up, how can she forget when it was a day after her birthday?

That day, she changed her phone number and she heard he changed his too.

And yes she did date other guys but there’s always something missing. She jots down phrases bit by bit until it became a song and she called it Only U

That was the day she regrets the most and was too proud to admit until lately. Just after she saw him kiss that girl in his “One Fine Day” MV

Seohyun caught herself tearing up and discretely wiped the tear dry while glancing at her unnie, attempting to hide it from her

“Too late to hide it Hyunie” Sunny gave her a sympathetic smile “But” she added trying to lighten up the mood “It’s never too late for this!” the LCD screen of her phone is in front of Seohyun’s face “Pali, copy and save!” She coaxed her making Seohyun grin from ear to ear, her fingers busy copying what she needed

“Thanks unnie! You’re the best!” she hugged her

“And now for the next move…” Seohyun again kept to herself thinking of her plan

Yonghwa sat inside the van and sighed, it has been a hectic schedule since his solo debut and dark circles are coming out now, well it’s not solely because of that. He was not able to sleep the previous night because he remembered someone.

Who wouldn’t when both of them are trending #5yearswithyongseo, a bitter smile escaped his lips as he remembered how Yongseo ended, well he was partly to blame but can’t she hold on? Maybe not, that’s why it ended right?

So that day early morning at a radio station, he had the urge to sing Love Light, it’s for our fans he claimed but who is he trying to convince? He just missed her so much. Gone were the days that he was angry at her for not holding on, for giving up and has the decency to act like a victim. He even wrote a song about that and released it January 2013 (I'm Sorry).

Anger was gone and his love took over that he persuaded s, manager and the company to transfer into that apartment complex that April 2013, he wanted to prove to her that they can make it but she was distant, he even saw some guy that went in and out of her parents apartment that time. Making him write another song called Can’t Stop and was released the next year.

When he heard she wrote the lyrics of the song Only U he listened to it and his heart lifted. Maybe it’s for him? He asked himself but is too scared to move forward, he has matured and as what he said on some interview, yes he can date but he could be a burden to the other party because they can’t see each other often, just like what happened to them.

And he does not want that to happen again.
