We could be strangers
Description
Friendship piece - because people generally experience more kinds of friendships than they do love. “I probably like you more than I like me – and that makes me hate you a little bit sometimes.”
Foreword
“Why is it," he said, one time, at the subway entrance, "I feel I've known you so many years?"
"Because I like you," she said, "and I don't want anything from you.”
― Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451
Excerpt:
“I’m claiming you as my best friend.” Tiffany clarifies.
“I don’t think it works that way.” Taeyeon laughs and shakes her head, feeling like a grown up attempting to explain an abstract idea to a child – the concept of friendship.
“Do you like me?”
“I do, but…”
“Life doesn’t have to be so hard, Tae.” Tiffany asserts - and it is almost convincing.
ps: I am writing a few lines a day so it's that kind of writing exercise. Sorry!
