February 2014, Korea, that was when I got my first kiss.

 

“jiyong?!”

 

“S-orry Dara, I can’t do it today. Even though I’ve got so much to say to you. It’s too embarrassing after all.” With his face still flush, he turned around. “See you at school.”

 

He already left when I realized what happen.

 

I feel my cheeks burning.

Kiss.. I finally kissed him!

I finally kissed Jiyong!

 

We’ve been friends in the same class for three years.

When did he start liking me?

Kyahhh! Jiyong! I can’t believe my ultimate crush.

I feel my cheeks burn even more.

“yahooooo!” I yelled with happiness. At last my crush have noticed me.

“Durami, byulliunnie!Shhh! Don’t say it out loud!

 

It’ll be fine! Umma and Appa can’t hear us from downstairs.”

 

“Kwon Jiyong, eh. He did came to like you after all. I thought you said your just friends?” hanbyul

 

“Hey.. Dara noona, what does a kiss feel like?” durami

 

“It’s hard to explain it to a child. But his lips tenderly touch mine.” Dara said looking like in cloud-nine.

 

“Oh..love. Does he stick his mouth in? That called a deep kiss! Unnie’s still a newbie!” Han byulsaid teasingly.

 

“Yah! Unnie!”

 

“Dara, Han byul, Durami! Food’s ready! Come on down!”

 

“Wow, what a feast!” Han byul

 

“It’s to celebrate Dara passing her high school entrance exam. Thank you for putting all you effort in getting into the school of your choice.” Dara’s mom.

 

“Omma, we already have one thing to celebrate, her first ki-“ Dara covered before she finish what she’s saying.

 

“What was that?” Dara’s appa.

 

“Nothing, appa.” She then a silent signal to Durami to shut .

 

“Hey, Dara, if good things keep happening a meteorite might appear and crush you.” Han byul said teasingly.

 

“Byulliunnie! You’re terrible.” Dara pouted while the latter just laughed.

 

But really.. now I’m free from all that studying.. and Jiyong.. Even if one or two bad things happened now, I’d have nothing to fear!

 

“Is the whiskey and water ready?” Dara’s Appa.

 

“Yeah, it’s in the kitchen.” Dara’s Omma.

 

“Oh, I’ll go and get it” Dara

 

“Dara unnie, bring some juice too.” Durami

 

“Are you sure?”

 

I was preparing the drinks when I felt something move. For a second, I thought the glass move.

“Dara, what are you doing there? Hurry up and come here!”

 

“Oh, ok!”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dara’s School

What happened last night must have been my imagination. The water couldn’t have just risen up like that all by itself.

 

“Yo! Dara, You’re slow. We’re doing the daily duties today. Teacher should be giving out the graduation schedules.” Jiyong.

 

“Oh, Jiyong.. Good morn-“ Dara.

 

Upon remembering the incident before, I suddenly felt shy.

 

“I’m sorry about yesterday...” Jiyong

 

“N... No it’s all my fault..” Dara.

I feel blood rushing to my cheeks.

 

“I..Ill give out the prints myself..” Jiyong

 

“No, I’ll help too.”

 

I’m such an idiot. He startled me and I must’ve given him a weird look.. now he’s gotten all worried..

 

“Jiyong, where are the prints?” Dara inquired.

 

“Funny.. the teacher said they’d be in the preparation room.” Jiyong said while scratching his head with wonder.

 

“Could you try over there?” Jiyong said pointing his fingers to the side opposite to his.

 

Ugh. I shouldn’t be worrying like this... How many times have the two of us been alone together already? I’d better find it quickly.

 

“If only teacher had put the prints somewhere easy to find..” Dara

 

“That’s true..” Jiyong.

 

“Geez! Hey Jiyong, let’s go ask teacher again where the prints are..”

 

Dara felt something was wrong. That something was moving at her back. She decided to figure it out. When she turned around she was taken aback at what she saw.

 

“Huh?”

 

She saw two hands in the water!

“Kyaaaaaa!” The hands grab her into the water!

 

“Noooo!” Upon resisting she accidentally cause the aquarium to fall.

 

“Dara!?” Jiyong went to her and asked what happened.

 

“Jiyong! There’re hands in the fish tank!” Dara said while rushing towards him.

 

“What are you talking about?” Jiyong

 

“Look over there!!!” Dara said while pointing her fingers towards the broken fish tank.

 

Upon looking back, the pair of hands were not there anymore.

 

“I don’t know what happened.. but those tropical fish were pretty important to yoshida..”
