Andante

Falling asleep with you beside,

And waking up with you gone.

Lying on the white king-sized bed,

I felt nothing but emptiness.

Then, it started drizzling.

Just like my heart was.

My pillow was the cement floor outside in the rain,

Being flooded by my endless tears.

Days and nights flew by,

But what do they mean without you by my side?

It was Thursday and suddenly Tuesday arrived.

My mind was like an open photo book, filled with our precious memories.

The rain continued pouring and all that’s entering

Was just you.

From the start of our relationship, light rainy days,

To the ending of us, dark heavy thunderstorms.

Your smiles,

Your laughter,

Your hugs,

Your kisses.

I miss you so much.

Right now, I’m still at the light rainy days, unable to proceed forward;

Because of the words at the dark heavy thunderstorms.

Feelings built up,

Fresh memories without you filled up.

And I realized,

Slowly, they will disappear.

Slowly, you will disappear.

But, before the time comes, I’m still living in our memories.

Awake or dreaming, I’m still living in our memories.

Slowly, I was drawing close to the last page of our book.

And I realized how calm and prepared I was for the thunderstorm.

But, somehow, I still can’t erase you from my heart.

Just when will I be able to forget you?

We ended, I know we did.

But, why does my heart refuse to accept this fact?

As I replayed my memories,

I started approaching the thunderstorm more and more often,

I started believing in the fact that we ended.

Slowly,I’ll wipe away the tears that welled up again and again.

Slowly, I’ll believe in the fact that we ended.

Slowly, I’ll accept the fact that there are no more ‘we’ and just ‘you’ and ‘I’.

Slowly,I’ll forget about you.

But, for now, please let me keep you in my memories and in my dreams.

Because I loved you, and I… Still do.
