A few days left before the calendar change, Jooyoung is feeling a little down and Heerin is a little concerned about her friend. It's Jooyoung's first time to celebrate the holidays without her family and she's feeling homesick and Heerin thought of an idea how to cheer up her friend. It's the day after Christmas and Heerin wanted to start early for her party, she approached her room mate/ best friend. "Jooyoung-ah" she said
"Yeah?" 
"I'm throwing a New Year's Eve party here. I already told Donghae, Dara, Henry and Chaerin"
"What? Why didn't you tell me?"
"Well, I wanted it to be a surprise"
"And you're telling me this now because?"
"I need your help" Heerin said
"Okay, what about?"
"I don't know what food to serve" Heerin said, biting her bottom lip
Jooyoung sighed and said "Okay... How much is your budget?"
"I actually don't know... but I need like 3 variations, a dessert and drinks"
"Okay... I'll work it out. Anything else?"
"Yeah... Dongwook oppa is here" Heerin said, smiling
"Like right now?" Jooyoung said, standing up and changing her clothes. She then head down to their living room and saw a man sitting on the couch. “Oppa!”
“Hey!” he said, turning around “Happy Christmas” he added and handed a gift wrapped box with a ribbon on top. “What’s this?” Jooyoung asked
“My gift to you” he said, smiling
“Thanks” she said, holding the box
“Well… open it” he said, and Jooyoung did. There was a scarf inside and then there was a box in the middle; Dongwook took a step closer to her, he wrapped the scarf around her neck and smiled. Jooyoung was a surprised at his gesture but then she smiled and said "Thank you, It's really nice". 

She then took a box from under their Christmas tree and gave it to him as well "It's not as nice as this one but I do hope that you'll like it" she said. He went ahead and opened it, under the wrapper was a very nice looking box and he went ahead and opened it as well. What welcomed him was a nice looking watch, he looked at Jooyoung and she smiled at him. There was silence in the room, till Heerin said "Jooyoung-ah! You left something in the box" holding the unwrapped present from Dongwook. She gave Jooyoung the box that looked like the one that Dongwook is holding. She opened it and it looks like the watch she gave to him except the one she's got has a smaller face. "Cool! Couple Watches!" Heerin exclaimed. Dongwook and Jooyoung looked at each other once again, they both took out their watches and wore them. Dongwook was smiling to himself before looking up at Jooyoung and saying "Jooyoung-ah, thanks. I promise to wear this everyday" with a smile. Jooyoung said the same and was smiling o herself as well. "Can I please be honest with you two?" a voice then said from the door. "What is the status of this relationship?" it added
"Yeah, Unnie! What's with you two?" another voice said
"Oh great" Jooyoung whispered then added "Hey guys!"
"Don't ruin the moment! They were just enjoying the awkward silence" Heerin said, smiling
Dongwook smiled said "I was just giving her my Christmas gift"
"Really? What did you get unnie?"
"Well Chaerin, that's for me to know and you guys to find out" Jooyoung said
"He got her a watch and the scarf she's wearing" Heerin said, Jooyoung threw a glare at her way "What? I wanted to tell her" Heerin added.
"Cool! Does that mean he has a gift for all of us too?"
"He's my friend, Henry. He's not Santa" Jooyoung said to Henry. "Sorry oppa... Uhm, Would you like something to drink? Coffee?" Jooyoung asked her guest but before he can answer she said "You know what, I'll treat you to coffee. I actually have to head out as well".
"Okay" was his only reply
"I'll see you guys later!" Jooyoung said before she and Dongwook was out the door.

"Sorry about that, they can be a little extreme sometimes" she said as they walked to the coffee shop
"It's okay, they're actually cool" he said to her. Dongwook and Jooyoung have been friends for a year now. They met at work, Jooyoung works there as a writer and he went there for a script reading one time. Their is real huge but mentally, they get a kick out of it since Jooyoung's mind is way ahead of her while Dongwook isn't that too mature as well. 

The coffee shop was full of people but the two managed to get seats near the door, Jooyoung was the one who offered to order but Dongwook said that he'll do it since the line is real long. Missed calls and messages flooded Jooyoung's phone; messages from Heerin, Chaerin and Dara. The ones that came from Heerin said "Send me updates!!!", "Did he kiss you yet?" and "Are you two officially together?". Jooyoung laughed a little when she read them. Chaerin sent her one and it said "Unnie, Are you two going out now? Why didn't you tell me?", She sent Chaerin a reply by saying "I actually don't know, I guess? He hasn't asked me out yet."
Dara then said "Chaerin called and told me you're out with someone, a Dongwook? Asked Bom about it and she was all smiles. Anyway, Hae and I will be coming over after lunch". Jooyoung then stashed her phone and saw that Dongwook was headed her way with drinks on both hands. "Thanks" she said as she got one of the drinks from him.
"So, are you going to work tomorrow?" he asked
"I'm not sure yet, I just finished writing on the 23rd. Why?" she replied, taking a sip
"Nothing, I was just asking coz I have to head on to set tomorrow. I might have to shoot a cameo"
"Cool!! What role?"
"Writer's Boyfriend... I think but, they told me to ask the writer about it"
"Well, have you asked?"
"I'm about to"
"Ask the writer then..." Jooyoung said, taking another sip from her drink. Dongwook took out his phone and started to press some keys then he put it on his ear. After a few seconds, Jooyoung's phone rang, she answered it immediately without even looking at the caller id "Hello?"
"Writer-nim? Would it be okay to be your boyfriend?" he said.

Jooyoung found it weird that it was the same thing that she heard on her phone. She put down the phone, looked at Dongwook and said "Wait... What?"
He laughed, put down his phone and asked "I asked the writer if I can be her boyfriend?"
"So I'm the writer and your role is my boyfriend?"
"Not really" he simply replied
"Hang on, They're finally doing a script of mine?"
"Yes" he said, with a smile this time
"And you're going to appear in it as my boyfriend?"
Dongwook paused for a second, bit his bottom lip and said "Yup, they wanted you to appear in it for a cameo as well and my role will be your boyfriend"
"Ah~~" Jooyoung said, Dongwook exhaled and smiled.
"So if you'll go to work tomorrow, chances are we're gonna shoot. If not then tell me so I can talk to my manager"
"Okay, I'll have to make time though. Heerin also asked me make a menu plan for the party"
"Party?"
"New year's eve party. She's throwing one at our place. And you're invited" Jooyoung said
"Thanks! I promise to show up.. Do you need any help? I can help you with the cooking?" he offered
"Thanks but I have it covered, Thanks for the offer though" Jooyoung said with a smile.

After their coffee, Dongwook walked her back home and they said their goodbyes "Thank you for the scarf and the watch" Jooyoung said when they reached the front door
"Thanks for the watch as well" Dongwook replied
"Did you bring your car?"
"Yeah, I parked it nearby"
"Oh, you take care oppa. Drive safely." she said
"I will... you should get in, it's a little chilly"
"No, it's okay. I'll see you off" she said, clutching her jacket and smiling
Dongwook then started walking, then he stopped and came back "I'll call you later, I have something to ask"
"Can't you ask it now?" she said
"Sorry... I uhm... I'll call you" he said and took off. 

After a few minutes, his car passed slowly and Jooyoung waved goodbye and went inside. Dara and Donghae were already there and were talking to Chaerin and Henry. To her surprise, Heerin wasn't there.
"Heerin?" she asked
"She's with Hyuk" Donghae answered and she grinned.
