“Your son needs to behave.”

The grandfather’s pungent voice oppresses the entire room. Exactly six eyes are staring towards the standing male like hawks, conversing nothing but disappointment even by observing how the heir of the Jung Corp dresses himself. Studded garments with obvious appearance of piercings accessorised his ears, and entirely black attire which delivers bad vibe wherever he goes and stands makes the eldest son looks no far like scallies of the city. Gritting teeth of his could be seen actuating by his well-defined jaw, and how he has been shoving his hand into his pocket intensifies the clarity of annoyance he undergoes. The bleached strands which are caressing their son’s forehead never fail to irk them, and they eventually couldn’t contain the absolute anger struggling to get out of their throats.

“Are you trying to harass me again, Jung Yunho?,” the printed letter informing the detention of his son is almost crushed in his hand.

“Well, I’m planning to harass you further.”

“Yunho!,” the mother cried in the verge of tears. Her lips are trembling not to scream for the second time, yet Yunho still maintains such countenance of cockiness, “From now on, I do not want to see any more earrings hanging on your ears.”

“End your babbling you’re not even my mother.”

“Enough!,” Mr. Jung slammed his fist against the table as he groans, “You’re such a disgrace to this family, I should have let your ungrateful mother take you away!”

“Never insult my mother before me!,” Yunho yelled to the top of his lungs, momentarily taunting the three sitting figures in front of him. He clearly savours the moment of domination in this very seconds, assuming how timid their mental are compare to his. Yunho glares back at the orbs which attack him, already sensing the approaching victory from this petty argument without caring the arriving steps by the doorway.

“I’m home.”

Yunho slightly tilted his head as he recognises the small voice; a cracking voice of his brother’s puberty tone.  

Mr. Jung has never been concerned to state a greeting over all, “Take a look at your brother, Changmin. A hooligan so foul and lower than a dog, a downright disgrace to this family. We do not want you to be like him, do you hear me?”

Changmin silently swallowed whatever lump residing in his throat. Such fight between his brother and parents isn’t rare to see nowadays, as he is always prepared to face the unsettling insults erupting from his father’s mouth for hours, whereby it sometimes roughly ends past midnight, and he lost plenty of time to play with Yunho.  

Seconds then, Changmin was told to step inside, and the boy expectedly stands right by his elder brother, blinking so innocently trying to fathom the faults his brother has done.

It is quite a view to compare both brothers, as young Changmin is dressed in a proper attire of his favourite colour while bearing his school bag which straps he has been grasping on. He delivers a clear difference of heights caused by the ten years gap, which promptly reminds Yunho that his brother is far too young to witness their parents’ inappropriate words.

The older brother couldn’t help but to turned away for the door. He treasures Changmin too much.

“Where do you think you’re going?!”

Changmin looks back, already seeing Yunho pulling the knob before his figure disappears as he descends the stairs.
