December 27th

Jay was in her dorm bathroom finishing her make-up when her room mate knocked on the door.

"Hey Jay! Chanyeol’s here are you ready?"

"You two go ahead."

She popped her head in.

"You sure? We could wait until your done."

"It’s fine Jin-ah. I still have to wrap my present."

"Still?" she looked at her friend in disbelief

She just shrugged. Jin-ah left while mumbling 

"She has papers and labs done the day she gets them, but a present?"

Jay just chuckled at her friend and adjusted her hat over her twist.

"Alright, lets go."

Yifan held his box and sat awkwardly on a chair in the corner facing the tv. Baekhyun came over and handed him a cup.

"Calm down."

"Is this alcohol?"

"It’s egg nog."

Yifan took a sip and cringed

"… with soju."

Sighing, he got up to throw away the cup, to which Baekhyun mumbled buzz kill. There was a knock at the door and Yifan opened it. 

"Hey guys! Come on in."

He may not be very cheery, but that doesn’t mean he’s a bad host.

"Hey Kris." Jin-ah says as she and Chanyeol walk inside

"Hey Jin-ah. Wheres Jay?"

"She was finishing getting ready. And she waited last minute to wrap her present."

"Oh."

Jin-ah walked over to Baekhyuns girl friend who was currently trying to find a tv channel with a Chirstmas movie on.

"Hey, Taeyeon!"

"Nana!"

As the two girls fell into conversation, Chanyeol went over to Baekhyun who was looking for more cups..

"What did Kris get her?" he ask quietly

"I have no idea." He answers, not looking up from his place at the cabinet "You know what she got him?"

"Nope. I asked her, but she said since I didn’t help, I couldn’t know."

"hmm."

"Hey party people!" 

Both boys turned towards the door.

"Jongdae pregamed, didn’t he?"

"Doesn’t he always?"

The two go over and greet their friend at the door. As those three talk, there’s a knock at the door again. Yifan answers and sees Jay standing there.

"Hey."

"Hey."

"You look great."

"So do you. Love the sweater." She adds

He looks down at his sweater and rubs the back of his neck.

"Thanks, come on inside." He gestures with his hand

"Thank you." She said, walking in. "Where should I put this?" She ask, looking at the gift in her hands

"The table over there should be okay."

"The one a drunk Jongdae is trying to get Baekhyun to set up beer pong on?"

Yifan looks over and, sure enough, Jongdae is holding a stack of cups and talking to slurring at Baekhyun.

"And you complained about Chanyeol." He says with a laugh "Um…, you can put it my room until its time to open them."

"Thanks. Which door is to the beds?"

"That one." He said, pointing

"Okay. Be right back."

"I’ll be here."

Jay went over to he room and placed the box on his desk. She saw a pic of Yifan and his mom in a frame and smiles. Cute.

After everyone got there, Baekhyun announced it was present opening time. Everyone sat on the couch, in the chairs, and the rest stood.

"Who wants to go first?" Baekhyun asks

"I will." Yixing says from the couch

"Who did you get?" Jongin ask the chair in the corner

"Chanyeol."

He hands the envelope to Chanyeol. Said boy shakes it.

"Just open it!" Jongdae teases from his spot on the couch

Chanyeol does so and reads the paper inside.

"Yes! Yixing you’re the best."

"What is it?" Jay ask from the chair near the tv?

"A code to update the music making program I have. I’ve been saving for it but.. thank you so much!" He gives Yixing a hug

"Oh no, emotions. "Jongdae jokes again

"Why dont you go?" Baekhyun says, bumping his friend in the shoulder.

"Fine."

After almost everyone traded gifts, Baekhyun looked around and saw there were two people left.

"Kris’s turn!"

Said boy looked around and saw it was just him and Jay left. Did she get me too? He looked at Baekhyun, who just gave him a wink. Of course. 

"I got Jay." He said, passing her his box and hoping she’d like it

She took the box with a smile and lifted the box and pulled out a chain with a charm in the middle. She held the charm and smilled.

"Oh my god, I love it." She said, turning from him

"What that a charm of?" Sehun asked, looking at the odd shape

"It’s where I’m from." She looked at Yifan "How’d you know I was from the Island?"

"I asked Jin-ah."

She got up and gave him a hug

"Thank you so much"

Yifan saw Baekhyun and Chanyeol high five. He gave them both a look.

"Well, I got you too." Jay said, letting go. 

She handed him a box with a bow on top.  He untied it and opened the box. He took out a snow globe.

"I guess we had the same idea of what to get each other."  

He shook it and watched the white flecks move in the water

"It’s.. great." He said smiling wide, showing some of his gums. He looked at Jay "Thank you."

She smiled in return.
