Myunghee had no idea how she was able go cope with Luhan's absence. If she never met him, this would be the best time of her life, but it just wasn't. She was gone and no longer beside him physically.

She missed her boyfriend.

Once university stated, Sehun was the first to help her with everything and anything despite the fact that they're both freshmen. She was grateful for his company.

Before school started, Luhan and Myunghee didn't Skype as planned. Luhan was too tired and tend to forget to get on. Myunghee waited two hours once thinking he'd get up for her, but no. It got worst when school started since she had morning classes, meaning no calls on some weekdays. They only had four days a week to hear each other's voices, and for some reason, that never was enough for her.

A few months after, Luhan went a week without returning her calls or messages. She had to find out from his mother that he got in trouble with the company and was now banned for social networking and phones.

At this point, Myunghee just focused herself on school and a side job in tutoring. She just couldn't wait anymore. When Luhan got his phone back, he called her with a thousand apologies before she was able to say a word. She shrugged it off like it was nothing. Like he didn't hurt her or made her feel insecure.

Before winter break came, Myunghee was offered an internship while Luhan was brought into the debut process. Luhan encouraged her to take the internship because there was always summer. She frowned. It was as if he never wanted her to come back. After agreeing with him, she hung up without a goodnight. She was disappointed that he didn't ask her to go home.

Their one year anniversary came along and Luhan provided her with great news: he was going to debut but instead of  as an actor, he was debuting as an idol. Idols had opportunities to act. It was good for him.

That day he didn't mention their one year and Myunghee was always left disappointed. 

She tried to be an understanding girlfriend. And honestly, she didn't care for anniversary dates, but lately, she didn't feel like she was taken by Luhan. It felt like she was getting replaced with training. She wanted him to go but it seemed he had forgotten her. Their conversations could hardly ever reach five minutes because Luhan had been training the whole day. 

Luhan debuted into a group on April 10th. It was his early birthday present. Being a trainee in such short period of time, Myunghee was proud of him despite the lack of time and effort he puts into her now. 

She sent him a bouquet of flowers since she wasn't able to be home until another few weeks.

He didn't say anything to her about his debut or the flowers he had received from her.

Myunghee was offered yet another internship for the summer. Sehun begged her to take it. Him and a few other new friends she made here asked her to. Because there was always winter to go back home. 

Now, it should be her turn to pick her path between career and love right? 

She broke the news to Luhan that she wasn't coming home. And they got into their first argument throughout this whole long distance relationship. 

"What the hell do you mean you're not coming back?" 

"I was offered a really big internship, Luhan." 

"You did one last winter." 

"That wasn't that big. It was a small hospital and I only took it because you told me it was a good idea." 

"Well, I told you to take it because I knew I wasn't going go have time for you. Now I have time, you have to go home." 

"No." 

"What?" 

"I'm not going back. You can wait until next winter because clearly you haven't seen how long I've waited for you." 

"What the hell is that supposed to mean?" 

"You don't even return my calls anymore. No goodnight, good morning messages. No note or anything telling me 'hey, I debuted' or 'baby, thank you for sending those flowers.' No nothing! You even forgot our anniversary. You were too happy with almost being able to debut that you forgot me." 

Myunghee was sobbing on the other side of the phone. 

"And you know what's worst? I can't depend on you to update me anymore. I would know more about my boyfriend if I just go google his name," she spatted. 

"You act like a damn angel don't you? You didn't say happy one year either or happy birthday to me. You didn't ask me about how my debut went. If I was nervous, happy, thrilled. You don't know what I go through in training. You think your life in Stanford is so much harder that you don't understand the restrictions I have as a trainee and now idol." 

"I never said my life was harder." 

"You make it sound like I have all the time in the world for you, but guess what Myunghee? I don't." 

And there was her reassurance. Things were going down hill. 

"Okay," she mumbled. 

"Okay?" he sounded angry again. 

"Let's just break up." 

"What? No, I didn-" 

"It's clearly not working out. Promises break and-" 

"Myunghee, listen. I didn't mean it like that!" 

"What did you mean then?" She was crying at this point. 

"You don't have time for me anymore," she stated softly, "We don't understand each other. I can't even get a proper phone call with you. Let's just break up." 

"Myunghee," he said her name as if his life depended on it. He didn't want it to end. This was just one argument. Just one and she was already wanting this relationship to stop. 

"Luhan, we can't go on like this. You have your dream and I have mine. Our paths don't cross. Not even for bit." 

"It can't end this way." 

"I love you, Luhan," she said for the first time. 

"If you do, don't leave me." 

"Wendy loved Peter too." 

"No, Myunghee." 

"She had to leave him to grow up and find someone else and--" 

"Jung Myunghee, if you say another damn word about that fairytale." 

Myunghee sighed and wiped her tears away. She was going to go strong. 

"What are you going to do if I don't?" 

"Jung Myunghee, I love you. I love you, okay? Don't go. Please don't go," he begged. 

With a bitter smile on her lips, she kept her silence. It was nice to hear him say that once before things between them were gone. 

"You should focus on being an idol. People won't like the idea of a taken handsome idol, right?" 

"Stop doing that!" 

She could hear other people on the other line. Some were asking him if he was alright, but he pushed them away. 

"Jung Myunghee." 

"Xi Luhan." 

"Please." 

"It's better this way for the both of us."

Two years later, Luhan's idol group, SONIC, became the biggest hit. Luhan, himself, went back to how he was when he first met Myunghee. The company took advantage of it by labeling him the ice prince of the group. 

He has been doing movies and tv dramas on the side as well. Another thing the company took advantage of: his acting talent. 

As for Myunghee, the past two years were a bit off than expected. She forgot how much enjoyment cardiology brought her but she found herself missing a piece of her life. Perhaps it was love? 

She tried another shot of love here. Sehun asked her out by their second year. They've only been on dates and it took him a bit of time to ask her to be his girlfriend. She said yes. They broke up a few months after. Myunghee didn't feel right about their relationship. It felt wrong to date her ex's cousin. Adding onto that, he only reminded her of her ex due to similar facial features. They still remained friends and Sehun understood her situation. 

While back in Korea, her father has been experiencing minor heart attacks which worries Myunghee greatly. She tells him what to eat and do to make it better, but he either ignored her suggestions or just didn't bother with it at all. Her dad asked her to come back to Seoul, but she didn't have the heart to. She hasn't been back since she left for her first year. Now, she didn't know if she could even bring herself to stay a day. 

A month before Myunghee's medical exams, her father was admitted into the hospital. His conditions were now critical. 

Now, she had to go back.

Author's Note: YAAAY, here it is. The sequel to 'Day in Neverland' (or what was formally known as Young Master). YOU DO NOT HAVE TO READ THE FIRST ONE TO UNDERSTAND THE SEQUEL. Only because these two are so different in genre that you might not like one but you might like the other. 'Lost Things' is angst while 'Day in Neverland' is fluff. Things won't be confusing, because I'll explain things in detail (plus I probably forgot a lot of details myself from the last one so I would restate some stuff again anyway).
