Soori sits up in her bed in cold sweat as she looked around her surroundings, she realized she was in her bedroom in a new apartment her mother had begun renting a week ago. Soori moved from Itaewon to Busan to live closer to family and friends who could help with her mother’s flower shop. She crawled out of bed and sighed, today she’d be starting school and meeting up with her best friend Mimi. Short for Youngmi.

Soon her phone began to ring a cute little ringtone that vibrated on her nightstand, she charged her phone over night because she knew her best friend would be calling so she could bring her phone into school.

She answered the phone. “I’m up.”

“Open the window!” Soori’s bedroom had two glass windows that led to the stairs on the side of her house. It use to be two doors that you could easily open and walk down, but afraid of robbery the landlord turned the doors into small windows.

She found it quite convenient when she wanted Mimi over, but she didn’t think she would come over so quickly.
