"Ready!" Yelled the host.

I felt my heartbeat, and adrenaline was pumping through my veins. This was it. This was my chance to prove to everyone that me and my partner could actually win this competition.

"SET!" My heart was beating as fast as a hummingbird's.

"I can win this." I told myself over and over again.

"GO!" The host's word suddenly made me feet gallop across the ground. I looked to my side and I see no one.

'Ha,' I thought. 'I CAN win this.'

But that's when I felt someone's grip around my ankle. They pulled me roughly and I fell face first on the hard pavement.

That's when I knew this wasn't going to be easy. There werre going to be some real ing after this competition...
