Chapter 1 - The Beauty and The Geek 

"Sulli, we're going to be late!" Krystal nervously stood next to me watching as the hallway slowly became deserted as students were rushing to their class. "Hold on... I can't find my novel!" I panicked as I scurry through my locker, I nervously bit my lip as the seconds went by. "We have Mr Hyun first, we really need to go" Krystal urged. Oh my.... I really need this text book. "You go ahead, I don't want you to get in trouble with me" I stammered, Krystal shook her head. "What kind of friend would I be if I just ditched you?" she replied, I smiled, "but that also makes me the bad friend for having you in trouble because of me!" Krystal laugh and shook her head, "alright, just hurry. I'll save you a seat" with that Krystal hurried off to our english class. 

I checked my gold and silver watch for the time, oh goodness! It has really already been 10 minutes?! 

"H-Hello?" mumbled a shy voice, I turn around to find a guy with nerdy glasses on, his shirt was tucked in his plain brown shorts, had black laced shoes, and was carrying a bunch of business and math books. He was definitly not in my group of friends and if I was caught talking to him it would lower my repuation. Wait... Why am I thinking like that?! Do I really care about my reputation that much? 

"Hi..." I responded warily, "who are you?" I ask with curiousity. "My name is Minho, Choi M-Minho... I'm in your English class" I stare at him, how come I've never noticed him before? His eyes open wide with panic, "I don't mean to creep you out or anything! Y-You're just the most popular girl in school..." he reassured me, I giggled. "I wasn't thinking that, although I am disappointed in myself that I haven't noticed you before in any of my classes" I look away embarrassed. A wide grin formed on his face, "w-well uh, that's because I always s-sit in the back..." he responds shyly. Minho was definitly an awkward and shy person. "What are you doing out h-here anyway?" he asks. I think he has a stuttering problem. 

"Oh, uh I can't find my English book" I sigh as I return to looking through my locker. "W-well I have an extra copy in my locker!" he beamed, "really?!" I respond relieved, he nods happily. I follow him to his locker which was at the end of the hallway next to a rubbish bin. I notice the words, 'NERD' were written in big red letters. Embarrassed he tries to cover it with his arm as he puts the combination for his lock. "Who would do such a thing?" I frown, he shrugs. "That's what happens when you're the nerd of the school, the b-big boys treat me like crap..." he sighs. I couldn't help but feel sorry for the guy. 

"Well here you g-go" he hands me the English Novel, 'Matchs made in Heaven', I nod my head in thanks, "do you want to walk together?" I ask. His eyes widen with excitement, "w-walking? With you?!" I giggle and nod. He happily walks beside me to our English class. As soon as I touched the door handle he sighs, "I'll wait out here for another 5 minutes, you go in first." I stare at him questionly, "why?" I ask, he stares at me with a sad expression. "I can't be seen with you, you're the popular girl and I'm the nerd. We're not suppose to be seen together" in a way, he was right. I kept quiet and walked in. 

"Sulli, where have you been?!" Mr Hyun sternly stares at me, I sigh, "sorry sir, I couldn't find my novel" I reply calmly. He shakes his head in disappointment, "how many times have I told you to be more organized? Take a seat" he commands me, I hurrily make my way to Krystal who was trying to hold in her laughter, I roll my eyes at her. 5 minutes after, Minho came in. "Sorry sir that I was late, I was having some t-trouble" Mr Hyun smiles at Minho, "it's okay. I have your test from last week for extra credit, you did very well." I was amazed, this must be a nerd benefit. As Minho made his way to the back, one of the jocks slid their foot out from the side of their desk. Minho came crushing down with books all over the floor. 

"Oh look, the nerd fell down" the guy laughed, high-five-ing his friends, I could see Minho's watery eyes. I hope he's not in any pain. I stare at him with an expression full of worry, he seems to be avoiding eye contact with me. "KEY! TO THE DENTENTION ROOM!" Mr Hyun yelled, Key scoffed, picked up his books and left. I wish I could've helped out Minho. 

The class went by and I couldn't help but take sneaky glances at Minho. He was a very interesting person, I hope he doesn't notice... That would make me a creep! The bell rang signaling that class was over. "Sulli" Mr Hyun called me as all the other students left, except Minho at the back who was taking a while since he carried so many more books than the average student. "You're really falling behind in English, you have failed two test this semester and the requirement is that you past at least 3 out of the 5 test. If you fail the next one, you're failing English" Mr Hyun warned, I gasp. "No! Sir please... I can't fail this class" I panic, he shake his head, "the text is next week Sulli, you will have plently of time. Minho will help you." Mr Hyun smiles. 

Embarrassed I turn around to Minho who was already at the desk. "Sorry sir?" he stares at him curiously, "Minho, you're the smartest student I've ever had, you're flying through every test. Sulli needs a tutor and she needs to pass this test and I've known you for quite a while now, studying is what you love to do" Mr Hyun laughed. I stare at Minho, "you like studying?" I ask in horror, he shyly looks away. "Y-yeah." 

After school, I waited for the place to be deserted. As soon as it was clear, I made my way to the library where Minho was waiting. He was twiddling his thumbs at one of the tables at the back. It was kind of cute, he is much different to the people I am used to talking to. I make my way down to the table. He quickly gets up and pulls out a chair for me, I was surprised by this gesture. "Thanks..." I thanked him awkwardly, I'm not used to it but I liked it. He sat in the chair next to me. I disregard his fidgiting, he was way too nervous. 

It was a normal study session, Minho didn't really talk much when I asked him questions about him. He just kept his nose in the book. I sigh, this was boring but I guess it's good to have someone to push me for this test. I don't want to fail English. He was a very intelligent person. I began to read the book. 

6PM... Wow was I really reading that for 3 hours?! I stretched and yawned, "Minho did w-" Minho was asleep, resting his head on his arm, his glasses were off. My eyes widen, he was cute with his glasses on but he is uber handsome with his glasses off. I poked his cheek, he was softly breathing. Oh god what am I doing?! I am such a creep. I nudge him softly, "hey... Minho, wake up" his eyes slowly open, I just notice our faces were only inches apart. "You're beautiful" he says softly before falling back asleep. My face went red and I hurrily moved back. 

What am I doing?! Why is my heart beating fast?
