vigour: Cirque Du Folie

Theme: Exodus

 

A stellar performance from vigour with her circus of horrors.  There are two or three different ways that the Exodus theme features in this – leaving life, runnning away, moving on – and the horror-lite and almost hynoptic story-telling vibe kept this short story a gripping read from start to finish.

killerdaisy: The Tale of Bumbling Idiots

Theme: Silent Love

This was a romp through the teenage years of two friends who have their shaky moments, but who stick with each other through thick and thin.  To be honest, in terms of themes, this one is a chameleon.  It could easily have been in the Enter the Unicorn or Exodus themes (and possibly would have suited either of them better than Silent Love, particularly Exodus).  The lively portrayal of the characters and their friendship, and the normal teen struggles that they face, was absolutely top notch.

emchan: You Look So Precious (With Your Bloody Nose)

Theme: Exodus

I wasn't quite sure how valid the hate Hyejin has towards Chanyeol is, but this was another entertaining romp through teenage life at high school (or rather, the few days surrounding a particular episode involving Chanyeol-hating Hyejin and The Hated One himself.  It's another chameleon that would have worked equally well (and perhaps better) in the Enter the Unicorn theme due to the tenaciously entertaining main characters, but it goes with Exodus too and was an amusing, well written read.
