Perhaps letting Donghae choose the movie they watched that night wasn’t such a great idea after all. The brunette had this glassy look in his eyes wherever he went and Hyukjae couldn’t snap him out of his own little world yet. It was getting a little worrying especially since Donghae already almost walked straight into the wall, twice.
“Baby, wake up. It was just a movie. It’s not real,” Hyukjae said, shaking him gently by the shoulders. “Earth to Donghae?”
“Never let go,” Donghae whispered, looking straight ahead of him with his lifeless eyes staring at nothing.
Hyukjae was legitimately scared by now. “Baby, please snap out of it. It’s just a movie. Acting, with actors. Jack didn’t die. He only… moved on to a better place,” the elder half-lied, knowing Donghae wouldn’t buy it but he just wanted to bring Donghae back. He hugged the muscular frame and tucked the younger’s head under his chin. “Hae, baby, you’re scaring me now… wake up.”
