Chunji sat in the living room and you walked in with a tray of fruit and orange juice. You sat down on the sofa to the side of him and there was silence. You had your eyes on the floor wondering what Chunji was going to say or do. –Was inviting him in a mistake? Ah ottoke, it’s so awkward no one is talking. Did he really have to come here?..- You let out a big breath and Chunji looked up at you. –I-I don’t know what to say..Why did I come here and I have nothing to say...Aish ----- I’m so sorry-

“Did you have something to say?” You asked

“Huh? Umm, no....”

“Then why did you come here?” You looked up at him in the eye

“I....”

“Earlier today you said you needed to speak with me”

“I just wanted to see you...”

“Hyewoo is probably wondering where you are, you should go” You tuned your head back to the floor

“But I want to stay, can I please stay? Here? For the night?”

You looked up at him “And not tell Hyewoo about it? Isn’t that a little-”

“Terrible, bad, selfish, unbelievable, horrible, un-trustworthy, all the words you can think of that explain what I did to you? I can’t let you forgive me. Staying here for the night from Hyewoo is not as bad as what I did to you, I could’ve just killed myself rather than hurting you”

“W-What are you trying to say?”

“I want to stay the night here with you”

“Ah..”

“I won’t take no for an answer, I don’t care where I sleep, outside, in the bathroom, out here. ----- I don’t care, just as long as I’m under the same roof as you”

“I....”

“If your parents come I’ll leave”

You breathed out “My parents don’t come back home until the next morning.. Follow me”

Chunji reached out to hold your hand but you moved away. You went into your room and took out a spare pillow and blanket from under your bed –I can’t believe I’m doing this...- You took him to another room and set out the blankets and pillows for him. “Umm, do you need pyjamas?”. You gave Chunji a pair of pyjamas and he walked out wearing your pyjama pants and shirt.

It made you giggle a bit. “Sorry, but those are the only pyjamas I don’t wear and I wouldn’t want to go into my parents room without their permission. I hope you don’t mind” Chunji hasn’t seen you smile like that for a while, he smiled “This is fine” Chunji walked into the room and turned around “Goodnight ----” “Goodnight” You walked into your room and closed your door.

–Chunji is in the room right across from mine, is this a really bad thing to do? Hyewoo had done worse but it’s like I’m doing the same thing back..-

-Being under the same roof as ----- feels nice, I miss you ------. I really would kill myself rather than  upsetting you-

It was really early in the morning, the sun hasn’t come out yet and you were sound asleep, Chunji slowly woke up and smiled. He went down to the kitchen and drank a glass of milk. He cooked rice porridge and poured juice into a glass cup then went up stairs. Slowly he opened the door to your room and placed the food on your study desk. He sat down on the floor next to your bed and crossed his legs. Chunji stared sincerely at your face. –She’s so pretty, did I really upset her so much she has stained tears on her cheeks?- He your cheek with the back of his finger –Oh, has she been crying last night? I’m so sorry I did this to you. I want you to be happy and smile again, but how would Hyewoo feel about this. Aish I’m a bad person. Whatever choice I choose, someone gets hurt...- Chunji rested his head on the side of your bed and closed his eyes.
