Her scream pierced the ears of her own, but failed to reach outside these walls. Her body fell to the ground; lifeless, as she was beaten continuously like a rag doll. All her strength left her body, her voice too hoarse to cry, her arms too weak to fight. The copper taste of death wouldn’t leave . Suddenly, the bat struck her ribs and she shrieked. Her breaths wheezed out from her lungs. This was her living hell. She wanted it to stop. She wanted to leave. She wanted to forget everything. But her conscience pleaded her to remember this night. Just this once, if she could remember the truth and not the stories sewn into her memory. Not the fibs and fairytales she was told every morning.
But the sharp prick in her skin reminded her...
That drugs always win.
