Time was something

I couldn't chase

and so it passed away

like it never came

The next day

I see something red

hunched up from

the green of my locker.

It came with a letter

that had nothing on it

but a short paragraph

of handwritten words.

Thanks for the apple

I'm better than that day

You want coffee?
