When she finally entered his room, he gave her a weak smile. The doctor's voice rang in her head: He doesn't have much time left.

She took his hand in hers and they notice the ring on her finger.

Soon, they were exchanging their vows a few days earlier than planned, before that deafening flat line echoed in her head.
