paper heart
Gracious WishesKrystal was startled by the ringing of the lunch bell. She turned around from looking at the windows and saw Luna packing her books from the previous lesson.
"Are you going down for lunch?" Luna asked, as if automatically. Krystal, likewise, systematically shook her head.
"But skipping meals is bad for you!" Luna tried to debate.
"Aish just go," Krystal said in an annoyed tone. Luna was taken aback. She was slightly hurt, but took it lightly and left the classroom.
Krystal was then the only student left in class. She regretted talking to Luna with that tone, for she was not actually annoyed. However, she had been talking in that way since a long time ago, when her heart had decided to close off herself from everyone after a tragic event.
Was she actually opening up to Luna?
It was an old incident. Nonetheless, the way Luna treated her very much reminded her of him. There weren't a lot of people who would be gracious to a girl deemed cold and scary- with exception of her family. He was her first love. Kim Jongin was considerably the first person who was warm-hearted in treating her, Luna the next. He was the only other person she could have affinity with after her family. The ways and times she had interacted with Jongin caused her to open up as a person. She became a warmer person. Soon enough, she had fallen for him.
"Kai," she whispered his name as she breathed, and sighed thinking of the memory which changed her and her life.
In spite of being a cold-natured person, she had a fragile heart. Having never been hurt by love before, or thought of anyone too seriously, her heart was like paper even though she looked strong. She was vulnerable despite of her looks. On a fateful day, she had witnessed Kai confessing to another girl.
Her heart immediately shattered. She remembered crying her eyes out on that day and her sister was trying hard to console her but she was dumb enough refused the comfort. It was her first time crying after years, followed by the next time almost half a year later when both her parents passed away. She was only 16 then, left alone with a 21-year-old elder sister to be her guardian.
I was almost done with this hence I decided to just finish this up. And oh there'll be an explanation in upcoming chapters showing that she's in the last year of senior high which means both our Krystal and Luna will be 18 in the present. So yup byess~
P. S. I'm just trying to show that Kai's incident impacted her a lot so she decided not to trust anyone or open up too easily anymore okay I think y'all geddit I shd stop blabbering okay bye
