author's note.
Into the lightHello~ ^_^
I read your comments regarding the way this story ended and I wanted to write this so it would be more clear. Yet, I want to say that a story can be interpreted in millions of ways because every reader has this freedom: the freedom to understand the story as he wants to.
This story has an open-ending, in the beginning Luhan is at an altar, and speaks with someone who's dead. That person isn't necessarily Joohyeon, it can be their lost child. So you can take it both ways. Joohyeon died. Joohyeon didn't die.
After that, the scene in the car. There it's clear that she died, but it isn't specified when and how. We don't know if the scene is real, or is just in Luhan's mind. Like I said, you can make your own interpretation.
As for Sarang's letter, it is a flight in time. She writes it for Luhan's birthday and tells him how grateful she is. At the moment she writes she is already grown-up, because she has a boyfriend, who is Jongin. Slowly, the letter starts with her early years of life, and the continues with her teenage years and ends up with her being mature and telling Luhan how much she wished he was here with her. It's like she takes your hand and makes you see every corner of her life.
I hope I didn't confuse you more, it's kind of like a metaphor.
But, like I said, I am the reader of my own story, I think of it in the way I see it, but you can see it in thousand of other ways. So, how do you see this ending?
Thank you for the attention all of you gave to this story, I am forever grateful ♥
