Prologue

“Yoona, I’m busy.”

“Please! Yuri won’t go out with me unless her friend has a date too. You don’t have to like her friend, just go on this double date for me. Come on, Sica, aren’t we friends?”

Yoona was begging. Kneeling on the hard floor and hugging Jessica’s knees. It’s been a long time since Jessica’s seen Yoona so desperate over some chick she’s practically been stalking for the past two months.

“Sadly.”

“So you’ll do it?!”

“Yes, Yoong. Now stop hugging me, I have to pick up my date right now.”

“Oh, is it Nicole?”

The sour look on Jessica’s face answered Yoona’s question.

“I ended things with her yesterday. She was getting boring. Tonight’s date is actually her best friend, Hara.”

Yoona shook her head in a disapproving manner. She pitied her friend for her player habits. Apparently, having a serious relationship was never Jessica’s forte.

“Don’t wait up for me.” Jessica gave Yoona a wink before she closed the door on her way out.

"Don't be late tomorrow!" Yoona reminded from the other side.

“Can you stop fidgeting like that? You’re making me nervous, and I don’t even care about this date.”

“But isn’t my dress too thin? Oh my god, I knew these shoes didn’t match my outfit.”

Jessica’s patience was worn thin. She shook the panicking Yoona. “Get a grip, woman.”

“Sorry.” Yoona quickly said before finally entering the restaurant.

“So, who’s my date? Is she cute?” Tiffany’s hand was resting under her chin while her eyes wandered the restaurant to figure out who her date was. She wasn’t going to lie, she was pretty nervous about entering the dating field after coming out of a terrible break-up.  It took her four months to finally recover.

Yuri shrugged her shoulder. “I haven’t met her before, but Yoona told me she’s really pretty, like supermodel pretty.”

Tiffany’s nervousness soon turned to excitement.

“Oh, there’s Yoona.” Tiffany’s eyes followed Yuri’s finger. But her gaze seemed to jump straight to the girl behind Yoona.

“Oh my god.” Tiffany fell back on her seat with open.

“Fany, what’s wrong? You’re turning pale.” Yuri asked worriedly as she fanned her friend.

“Yuri, please tell me my date is not Jessica Jung.” Tiffany was giving a pleading look to Yuri. Her nails dug into Yuri’s arm. She was dreaming right? She didn’t actually see a stunning Jessica Jung wearing a red dress at the entrance of the same restaurant she is currently in.

“What? No, of course not. Why are you mentioning your ex-girlfriend? Besides Yoona said her name was Sica Jung—Oh My God! Jes-Sica Jung!” Now it was Yuri’s turn to panic.

“Hello, ladies.”
