Flower Girl

“Do guys usually like flowers?”

Sungyeol and Jihyun were again seating across from each other as Jihyun looked eagerly at Sungyeol who was obviously confused.

“Well...that depends on the guy...”

“How about a rich, snobby, quiet guy?”

Jihyun who looked very ambitious was smiling at Sungyeol for some word of advice.

“What is going on...” he thought to himself. “Does she want to give flowers to someone?”

“Well...I don't know...I guess I'd have to meet the guy.”

Sungyeol watched as she looked as if she were contemplating something. “Alright!” she exclaimed, as she quickly stood up from her seat. Without a word Jihyun quickly walks out the door giving a wave good-bye.

“But wait...” Sungyeol said to himself standing alone in his apartment puzzled.

“I wanted to walk you out...”

Next Morning

“Sungyeol you look tired...” Sunggyu commented, looking worriedly at Sungyeol. “Are you going to be okay? Are we working you to hard? Do you need to rest?”

Touched by Sunggyu's concern, Sungyeol tries to give a “I'm alright” smile before quickly going back to his blank state.

Seeing Sungyeol this worried Sunggyu as he kept his eyes on his while trying to work. “Is he going to be alright...” he kept asking himself.

Sungyeol who couldn't sleep last night after Jihyun left his apartment. Looking like a zombie, Sungyeol's movements were slow like a zombie and it felts as if he made the flowers around him slowly wilt.

The usual customers that are big fans of Sungyeol all watched this unravel in front of them as they watched in concern.

“You're over working him!” the girls would cry out before leaving.

Ignoring everyone's concern, Sungyeol could only ask him “Does Jihyun have a boyfriend...?”

“146” Jihyun said to herself smiling.

She had just finished a delivery order before going to Myungsoo's house. “I know where it is now” she thought proudly to herself.

“It should be time” Myungsoo thought to himself as he waited patiently laying on his bed while staring at the clock in his room.

Compared to last time, Myungsoo looked very clean cut as he had his best (all black) clothes on and his hair perfectly done.

“Why am I doing this?” he asked himself in disgust.

Suddenly the bell rings causing Myungsoo to fall off of his bed.

“Ugh” he groaned as he rubbed the back of his head after it had hit the carpeted floor.

Jihyun with flowers in her hand stood patiently waiting for Myungsoo to answer the door. “I wonder what's taking him so long...maybe he's not home?” she thought.

Suddenly she could hear frantic footsteps running down the stairs.

And then silence.

“...is he not going to open the door?”

Myungsoo who was standing behind the door was trying to catch his breath before letting her see him. “Okay” he said to himself after catching his breath.

Jihyun's eyes suddenly widen as she sees the door slowly open in front of her.

“H-hi!” she exclaimed. “Here are your flowers...again!”

She watched as he takes the flowers from her hands and quickly puts the flowers in a vase. “He takes good care of the flowers” she thought happily.

“And he's wearing a shirt today” Jihyun thought...a little disappointed.

After finishing with the flowers, Myungsoo quickly walks back with a handful of cash. “Here” he said as he hands the money over to her.

“Thank you.”

“...”

“..........”

“Why isn't he shutting the door...” Jihyun thought.

The two stood there awkwardly, neither one of them willing to move.

“Should I leave first...” she thought to herself.

“Do you want to come in?”

“Jihyun...I love you...” Sungyeol said shyly, unable to look up at her as he fiddled with his fingers.

The two stood in a beautiful sea of sunflowers as they stood across from each other on the bright summer day. Even though the sun was bright, there was a small breeze that would come and go that made it the perfect time for Sungyeol to confess.

Sungyeol stood quietly as he waited with no response, getting a little worried he looked up at Jihyun who was laughing nervously by herself.

“...I'm sorry” Jihyun slowly said. “But” she continued. “I'm only into rich, snobby, quiet guys.”

After finishing what she had to say, Jihyun quickly ran away and rode on her scooter into the sunset.

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Sungyeol who had startled everyone in the shop was drenched with sweat as he bounced straight up from his seat.

“I-I-It was just a nightmare...” Sungyeol thought to himself, trying to catch his breath. “Thank god.”

“Are you okay?!” Sunggyu asks, quickly walking over to Sungyeol who was sleeping on multiple chairs that were aligned together.

“Yeah...” Sungyeol said wiping the sweat off of his forehead. “I just had a really bad nightmare...”

“It's so different being inside the house...” Jihyun thought to herself as she sat quietly on the leather couch.

“Here.”

Myungsoo handed Jihyun a bottle of iced green tea.

The two sat quietly far away from one another as they both drank their tea in unison.

Compared to the atmosphere Jihyun and Sungyeol had when they were drinking coffee together. Jihyun couldn't help but notice how different she acted between the two. “Why can't I say anything?” she thought to herself.

“Did you take these?” Jihyun asked, looking at the black and white photos that were up all over Myungsoo's living room wall.

Shocked by the sudden broken silence, Myungsoo ends up choking on his green tea.

While covering his mouth to cough, Myungsoo couldn't help but smile at Jihyun's question. This was due to the fact that it was the first time that anyone has noticed Myungsoo's photography that were all over his walls ever since he moved in.

Unable to speak, Myungsoo was only able to nod as he watched her admire his work.

“You're really talented...” Jihyun commented as she looked at every single picture hanging on his wall. “You must be a really famous photographer” she continued.

Myungsoo, although flattered, quickly corrects Jihyun and says “No...I only do it as a hobby.”

“Oh...” Jihyun replied, now looking back at him.

“No!” Jihyun thought to herself as she sat awkwardly with Myungsoo once again.

“The atmosphere's awkward again...” she thought to herself as she tightly griped onto her knees.

“Jihyun...”

“Y-y-yes!” Jihyun replied, startled.

“Wait...” she thought. “How does he know my name?”

“How do you know my name...?”

“...” Myungsoo thought to himself as he looked bewilderingly back at Jihyun who staring at him now. “I can't tell her that I stalked her on the internet and tried to find ever little thing about her!”

“Hey” Sungyeol said as he watched Jihyun storm in the shop, drenched in rain. “You're back.”

“Yeah” Jihyun said, face bright red as she quickly takes off her helmet. “That fricking ! What the hell!” she thought as she storms to the back of the store to change into her spare clothes.

Flashback

“Can you please leave now?”

After asking him the question, Myungsoo didn't reply and just quickly shoved Jihyun out the door, asking her to leave immediately.

“But it's pouring outside!” she cried, turning back to look at him as he continued to lightly push her towards the door.

SLAM

Before she knew it, Jihyun was standing outside Myungsoo's door with a blank expression on her face. “What just happened...” she thought as she stared blankly at the closed door.

Suddenly, the door opens back up.

“I knew he wouldn't leave me out in the p-”

“You forgot this” Myungsoo said as he quickly shoves her scooter helmet towards Jihyun.

“W-”

Before Jihyun could even say anything, Myungsoo had already shut the door leaving her behind...again.

Present

“What's wrong with him!” she thought as she buckles up her jeans. “And right when I thought we could be friends!”

“What's wrong with me...” Myungsoo thought as he sat on his couch with his hands covering his face in embarrassment.

“Right when I thought we could be friends...” he thought.

“What happened?” Sungyeol asked as Jihyun walks out to the front of the shop with new clothes on.

“Nothing!” Jihyun shouted, unable to calm herself.

Sungyeol could only watch as Jihyun sat down with her arms and legs crossed while looking out the shop window.

“What happened to her...” Sungyeol thought, pondering what kind of thoughts Jihyun was currently having. “She's so hard to understand sometimes” he thought, letting out a loud sigh before walking back to the counter.

Looking down at the delivery paper that contained all the delivery addresses, Sungyeol couldn't help but look at the 146 address that Jihyun complained about the other day.

WELL I'M NOT GOING!” Jihyun shouted before storming outside the shop.

“Maybe I should go visit this house tomorrow...”
