G R E A S E - 01

May 10th, 2014

I was sitting in my International Business Relationships class, when a new Kakaotalk message popped up on my screen. Luckily, I had put my cellphone on silent, and had even deactivated the vibration effect. 

FROM: Unkown Number
Hey MinAe it’s me WooHyun…

I furrowed my eyebrows. WooHyun? Double-checking whether my professor was paying attention to me I curiously opened the message.

FROM: Unknown Number
Hey MinAe it’s me WooHyun.
I hope this rings a bell. ♥
I know this is weird but can 
we meet up please? 
I need your help. WH


I stared at my phone in confusion. WooHyun? How did he get my number? And, more importantly, why did he want to talk to me? What was there even to talk about? And what’s it with the annoying fan-service hearts? I knew he was cheesy from SungGyu’s talks but to this extend?

FROM: Unknown Number
Got your kakaotalk ID from SungGyu’s
phone but don’t tell him, he’d kill
me. But please I really need your 
help.♥ If you have time, meet me 
at Karaoke 101 in Sinchon in three
hours please? WH ♥ 

This clearly wasn't making any sense? Since I didn’t know what to reply, I put my phone away and focused back on my economics’ Professor. He was explaining about the international handling impact on wage distribution and I couldn’t really afford not paying attention since maths were involved and maths weren’t exactly my strong point. The girl next to me already shot me an annoyed glance for disturbing her.

Sure enough, my screen lit up again after a few seconds.

FROM: Unknown Number
Please? ♥ It would mean the world...

Wow, he was persistent. I sighed inwardly, and decided to give him peace of mind and an answer. Thinking about it, I really needed to deactivate the push-preview.

FROM: Unknown Number 
Please? ♥ It would mean the world 
to me. You’re my last hope. WH ♥

I saved WooHyun’s number as Number 3.

TO: Number 3
Okay. I have classes until 4, 
we can meet at the karaoke 
at 5. But I have work at 8. 
MinAe

His answer came instantly.

FROM: Number 3
♥ ♥Thank you so much I
owe you big time. WH ♥

What could be so important WooHyun would be so desperate about it? I re-read his messages but found no clue whatsoever as to what he wanted from me, except for me to not tell SungGyu about our meet-up. Somehow I didn’t like the idea of seeing his friend without him knowing. But it could’t be helped now, since I already thoughtlessly agreed to meet WooHyun secretly. Situations like this, just leave it to me….

But suddenly I noticed something I hadn’t previously payed attention to. I owe you big time. 

I shamelessly connected two thoughts. Maybe it was WooHyun who would help me to contact HoWon? After all I only had eleven days left now until Professor Lee’s daughter’s birthday. 

I wasn’t going to complain but why couldn’t it be HoWon who desperately wanted something from me. That would’ve made it so much easier.

Hello subbies, quick update because it's only a short chapter :) The main drama is finally going to start *evilgiggling* My main beta is super-duper-uber-busy lately so I decided to give her a break until she survived the exam madness^^
