Exiting the subway at a certain station, Hyorin couldn't help but admit that she was lost. 

But she liked it.

Walking home from a very shift at the cafe, Ahn Daniel was extremely tired and just wanted to go home to his apartment. As he crossed the street he noticed a girl with a long sweater and shorts.

"What is she doing out at this time?" he wondered, taking a glance at his watch that read 3;49 am. 

"Excuse me miss, are you lost?" he asked as he walked up to Hyorin.

Hyorin looked up at the latter and stared into his eyes. "Yeah..." she whispered in a soft voice. 

Daniel noticed the tear stains on her face and he immediately knew that she had ran away from home. Daniel took a hold of her hand and pulled her into a nice warm hug in the slightly cool night air. 

Hyorin was taken back at the moment but hugged him back. She couldn't help but feel so secure in his warm embrace. 

"I am lost...would you help me find my way back home?" Hyorin asked. 

Daniel tilted his head to the side, "But isn't that the place you ran away from in the first place?"

Hyorin paused for a moment. He was right, she did leave for reasons--and apparently it was obvious since this stranger knew her story just by looking at her.  Slowly pulling away from his embrace, she looked up at the boy.

He had very thick lips and big round eyes as if Korean wasn't his only ethnicity.  His hair was nuzzled nicely with a light tint of brown from what Hyorin can see in the night but she can tell they around the same age. And his smell--he had a nice welcoming smell of coffee. 

Hyorin wasn't afraid of this man approaching her at this hour. He was friendly and willing to help her. 

Something no one had done for her before. 

Daniel cleared his throat awkwardly since Hyorin had been staring for a while. "So..."

Hyorin shook her head, "Oh! I'm sorry!" she quickly bowed.

Daniel chuckled a little and waved his hands, "Ah, don't be too worked up about it." He took a look at his watch and bit his thick, lower lip. "Hey it's getting late...do you want to crash at my place for the night?"

Hyorin scratched her head, "Uhm...."

Daniel noticed that her body grew stiff from his question. "Er...I won't hurt you or do anything inappropriate to you...I promise."

The latter then nodded slowly, "Okay..."

"Okay!" Daniel clapped his hands together and smiled. "Let's get going!"

He held out his hand, "Oh by the way, I'm Ahn Daniel. But you could call me Niel for short."

Hyorin grabbed his hand and shook it, "Hyorin."

Niel kept a hold of her hand and gave her a warm smile. "Nice to meet you, Hyorin."
