Foreword
Soli
Soli lived in New York City.
God, she loved the city.
It pulsated with strange, foreign energies, an amalgamation of cultures converging and dispersing all at once.
She loved the scaffolds and skyscrapers, the never ending stream of people on the sidewalks. The way the coffee tasted different at every shop you went to.
She loved the people, and how she could hear 20 different languages every time she walked to school.
She attended the School of American Ballet, with its prestige and strictness, its unwavering standard of excellence.
She’d auditioned when she was six, with an audition tape, and was directly admitted. The schoolmaster had stated something along the lines of, “Unparalleled talent. Natural full turnout. Gorgeous hyperextension.”
And so, she’d moved immediately to New York.
The city was the birthplace of dreams and ambition, and Soli had fed off of its energy like a hungry succubus.
Nine years of hard work later, Soli stood at the stop of her ballet class. She was on the cusp of her 16th birthday, on the verge of being pre-admitted into the American Ballet Theatre.
She was on the edge of tumbling into the dream that she has had since utero.
But she didn’t know if she wanted that dream anymore.
Soli lived in New York City.
Luhan
Luhan lives in Seoul.
A member of the Korea National Ballet, he is THE young principal dancer on the rise.
Kai
Kai lives in Seoul. He is a past ballet dancer who has quit the world of ballet for good.
EXO-M are all ballet dancers in the Korea National Ballet. Priorly, they all attended the Beijing Dance Academy.
EXO-K are hip-hop dancers.
The Seoul Center of Arts is where all dancers in Seoul train and practice.
