I lowered my head, dejected. I really didn’t want him to know about it, but he deserved to know that my parents were trying to split us up, because my dearest mother thought that he wasn’t good enough for me. I really just wished she could see how much I absolutely love Henry.

A tear slipped out from my closed eyes, and Henry noticed. “Hey... Micha...” He tossed his unfinished ice cream cone and pulled me to him, wrapping his warm, strong arms around me. He cooed into my ear. “Shh. It’s okay. Everything will be okay, Micha.” He pulled back and held my face into his hands, wiping my tears away with his thumbs.

I shook my head out of his grasp and buried my face into his chest, clenching onto his shirt. “N-no it won’t! M-my freaking mother is t-trying to b-break us up, what’s o-okay about t-that?” I mutter into his shirt. I sniffled. I didn’t get what came over me. I was normally really mature about things, but I guess it finally hit me that Henry and I might be separated due to my mother’s consistent interference.

Henry pried my head away from his chest, and tried to get me to look at him, but I refused. “Micha!” He yelled. He forced me to look at him. “Micha! You know I would never leave you! No matter what, I’d never leave you! You trust me, don’t you, Micha?”

My head snapped up automatically at his question. "Of course I trust you H-henry. How could you d-doubt that?" I asked.

"I don't." He replied. "Which is why I know everything will be okay." He smiled, and leaned his forehead against mine. He pulled me closer and kissed my little button nose. Then he proceeded to place another kiss on my forehead.

I calmed down immediately. If Henry believed that everything would be okay, I wouldn't doubt that. I trusted Henry with my life. I believed in him. Because I loved him.

"Come on," Henry said, pulling me up from the park bench, once I calmed down. "Let's get you home before you get in trouble."

I nodded and stood up. When I noticed our ice cream cones discarded on the floor, forgotten until now. I bent down and picked them up, and discarded them properly. Then I walked back to Henry and wrapped my arms around his waist as we walked back to my house.

When we got back go my house I reluctantly let go of Henry and kissed his cheek. He grinned and kissed me on my forehead before ushering me towards the rope ladder that was still hanging from my window. "Jal ja (good night)." I called out to him.

I heard him reply back, "Jal ja. Sweet dreams, munchi."

Henry waited until I got back into my room, and waved, before he got into his car and drove back to his house. I proceeded to get ready for bed, and climbed into my comforting sheets, trying to avoid all the Beanie Babies and Stuffed Animals I had on my bed.

[MICHA'S DAD'S POV]

In the past month, after I realized that my one and only daughter truly loved Henry, I began trying to convince my wife that it would be best to just leave the kids alone and cancel the marriage contract to Choi Young Soo. My wife wouldn't hear of it, though. She kept on insisting that Henry was a bad influence for Micha, and that Young Soo, who was only good in wealth and business, was a better choice for our daughter in the future.

I had told Micha, the day after I found out that she was sneaking out of the house to see Henry, that I was okay with her seeing Henry. When she heard the news she was absolutely overjoyed. I also told her that I'd try to convince her mother that Choi Young Soo was not the right boy for her. She had jumped up to give me a hug and thank me. Never had I seen my daughter so happy.
