“YAH  you pabo, wake up already!!!! You’ve been asleep for long enough!” Kai said annoyingly while pushing D.O non-stop to wake him up.

 Kai had been pushing D.O for half an hour and he still hadn’t bulged a bit. Kai had to admit that D.O looked like someone who was in a coma. Kai was getting more and more impatient as the time went by.

“AIYSH WHATEVER!”Kai said as he finally gave up and exited the room, slamming the door shut behind him.

It was currently 7:00 a.m. and the members were all down in the kitchen having their breakfast.

“Where is D.O?” Suho asked as Kai walked into the kitchen. “I thought you want to wake him up.” Suho said while looking up to Kai.

“He’s still sleeping,” Kai answered briefly He sat down in one of the chairs beside Lay and began to fill his plates with pancakes.

“Didn’t I told you to wake him up just now?” Suho frowned. “It’s seven o’clock and he’s still asleep…”

  “He sleeps like a dead log and won’t even wake up even if I throw him out of the window.” Kai rolled his eyes in frustration. He recalled D.O’s sleeping face a few moments ago. He seemed to be very tired. His face looked very peaceful as he slept. Kai couldn’t help but to recal the incident last night…

Kai frowned and stabbed his pancake hard with a fork to distract himself from his thoughts.

Lay jumped with a startle beside him. “What happened?”

“Nothing.” Kai answered, stuffing a huge piece of pancake into his mouth.

“Really?” Lay cocked his head aside. Then he saw the pancakes on Kai’s plate and an amused expression appeared on his face. “The pancakes are ready? That was really fast.”

Everyone on the table turned and looked at him with their mouths agape.

“What? Why are you all staring at me like that?” Lay asked confusedly.

“Lay,” Chen said slowly, ”the pancakes was ready since an hour ago.”

Lay frowned. “Is that so? Why didn’t I notice it?”

“You really need to refrain yourself from zoning out.” Xiumin pointed out. “You’ll leave a bad impression on D.O if you are not careful.”

“D.O?” Lay frowned more deeply. “Who is he? I think I’ve heard of him somewhere before…” His expression showed clearly that he was not joking.

Everyone couldn’t help but to facepalm themselves.

“He’s the guy that came into our house yesterday,” Luhan reminded Lay.

“Oh, I remember now,” Lay nodded. “Sorry for forgetting.”

Everyone rolled their eyes and resumed eating their breakfast.

Meanwhile, a food fight was going on between the Baekyeol couple. Scraps of food were seen flying i9n every direction.  The other members didn’t need to turn their heads to know who was the culprit and continued eating.

“YAH PARK CHANYEOL, STOP THROWING PANCAKES AT MY FACE!” Baekhyun shouted angrily. “ Although they are delicious,but please just STOP!”

“JUST ACCEPT IT WITH OPEN ARMS! TAKE THAT!”  Chanyeol said with a grin as he threw another piece of pancake at Baekhyun. It hit Baekhyun right in the face. Suddenly everyone went silent.

“OMYGAWD PARKCHANYEOL DID YOU JUST IN’ THROW A PANCAKE AT MY FACE?!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAH! MY FACE IS PRECIOUS YOU KNOW!!!!!! HOW DARE YOU!”

Almost everyone covered their ears as Baekhyun shouted out in anger.

“Oops, ok ok I am sorry!” Chanyeol apologized. However Baekhyun, without saying any words, stood up with an aura which sent chills down Chanyeol’s spine.

And yes, it happened again. Chanyeol was being chased by Baekhyun again just because Chanyeol threw something onto Baekhyun’s face. They had been playing the role of Tom and Jerry for a few years now so the members got used to it. Everyone rolled their eyes without looking at them.

“GOSH, WHEN ARE THEY SUPPOSED TO GROW UP?!” Sehun exclaimed loudly. Even though he’s the youngest among his friends, he was the most mature one among them.  

“You are not even a grown up yourself!” Luhan teased.

“WHAT?! YOU KNOW VERY WELL THAT I AM A GROWN UP NAMED OH-SE-HUN AND AM CURRENTLY LIVING IN THIS HOUSE WHO HAS A BOYFRIEND WHO ISN’T MANLY AT ALL!” Sehun shot back, folding his arms.

“I AM MANLY! I PLAY SOCCER BASKETBALL TENNIS BADMINTON…… AND MUCH MORE!”

“HELL NO! You are just naming out the sports that you know! I have never seen you play squash before! And the last time you played badminton, you went jumping around like a chimpanzee just because you are afraid of feathers!”

“Well yeah I was just naming out the sports I know—WAIT! NO I DID NOT! I JUST…  MY THROAT FEELS ITCHY, THAT’S ALL!”

“Oh is it? You know what? YOU ARE NOT MANLY AT ALL!”

“I AM!”

“YOU ARE NOT!”

“I AM!”

“YOU ARE NOT!”

Listening to their agreement, Suho literally facepalmed himself.

 

****D.O’s POV****

It was getting hotter at the moment and I woke up. I quickly turned to my side, reaching out for my phone. My eyes widened when I saw the screen.

WHAT THE?! 12 P.M.? HOW LONG HAVE I SLEPT?!

Just then I noticed something unusual. I rubbed my bleary eyes and when my eyes focused at the sight in front of me, I was dumbfounded.

The room I slept in was twice the size of my bedroom. The walls were all covered in gold paint and the light from outside which were reflected by the walls were blinding me. The bed beside me was king sized and if you never been here you would not know that this room was only for one person. The floor was made up of ceramic tiles which were cold to the touch. Everything inside were sparkling clean. It was like a palace which the queen of England would live in.

I was so shocked that I kept pinching myself. Then I realized it wasn’t a dream so I went out. I turned the doorknob slowly, careful not to make any sound that will startle anyone and went tiptoeing outside. I marveled at the sight of the place. There were 6 bedrooms in total with each and every one decorated in different themes. There were two flight of stairs leading up to where I was standing right now. I had become more and more curious so I went downstairs. The ceiling of the castle was the tallest ceiling I had ever seen. Everything in here seemed to be so grand and beautiful. I had always known the castle behind my house was big but I never thought it would be so big!

It was so beautiful compared to what I seen last night!

I was so engrossed in the beautiful sights until I heard sounds from the kitchen. Out of curiosity, I started to inch closer but I jumped in surprise when someone called my name

----END OF POV----

“Chen, I thought I heard someone in the living room? Would you mind checking it out for me?” Kris asked suddenly. “I don’t want any other people to sneak into this house. One is more than enough.”

“Sure, no problem!” Chen smiled and got up.

It was Sunday afternoon and the members were in the kitchen, too lazy to do anything. They were either cooking or eating in the kitchen. But other than that, there was nothing else.

“Hey guys, today is the last week of the month. Who is responsible to go grocery shopping this month?” Kris asked coolly.

“I went with Luhan hyung last month!”Sehun yelled from the couch in the living room.

“Ok, then both of you is off the list. Xiumin?”

“I was planning to go on a date with Chen today. Can we go next time? Pretty pretty please?” Xiumin pleaded using his ‘dear eyes’ which somehow worked.

“Fine, do it next month.” Kris tried his best not to roll his eyes.

“I LOVE YOU! SARANGHAE! WO AI NI! AIERU! Wait, what’s ‘I love you’ in German?”

“Stop sending love letters to me. You know that I hate it. Next, Baek-“ Kris paused suddenly and he sat up straight. “WAIT, where the heck is Baekhyun?”

Just as Kris finished his sentence a ball was shot right through the window, hitting Tao in the head.

“WHO DID THAT?! YAH YOU TWO! HOW DARE YOU HIT ME?! DO YOU WANT ME TO WUSHU YOU?! HAIYAK!” With that Tao ran outside holding a broom stick in his hands.

“…” The others went speechless at the scene

“Now let’s not care about them. Apparently they are going to be sent to the mental hospital after I am done with this. Now, who is next?’

“Now it is only me and Suho who haven’t go yet.” Kai said lazily.

“Ah, I think Suho is not well today. So, Kai will go today.” Kris snapped his fingers. “That’s it.”

“WHAT?!” Kai’s jaw dropped on the floor. ”ALONE?!’

“Of course you are going alone. Do you think that I will go with you? And another ghost is not going to pop out instantly from nowhere.”

“YOU ARE NOT GOING TO BE ALONE. NOT ANYMORE.” Chen said with a sly expression on his face, dragging D.O inside.

Kai’s face went pale. “NO, I AM NOT GOING WITH HIM! HELL NO!”

“Why? Tell me 5 good reasons.” Chen said with a smirk evident on his face.

“FIRSTLY, HE IS A WEIRDO.

SECOND, HE IS A FREAKING WEIRDO

THIRD, HE IS TOTALLY A WEIRDO

FOURTH, HE IS INSANELY A WEIRDO

FIFTH, HE KEEPS CALLING ME A ERT.”

“Kai, those aren’t even reasons and I don’t think you are innocent either.” Kris said, the ends of his lips tugging upwards slightly. “So shut up and just go. Our supplies are running out.”

“NO!!!!!” Kai yelled.

“Listen up now Kai, This is the last warning. Today is your turn to go grocery shopping and there is actually a ‘someone’ to accompany you and if you do not go grocery shopping today, think about the chickens’ future. They will not be in your hands anymore because I am not buying anymore chicken for you.  You have to pay for yourself. So right now what you have to do is just choose. It’s easy right?”Kris put on a ‘It’s your choice’ face.

“NO ONE TOUHES MY CHICKEN! ALRIGHT, I WILL GO!”

“That’s my boy,” Kris said as he patted Kai on his shoulder before leaving the kitchen

The sound of shattering glass could be clearly heard.

“HOW THE ING HELL DID HE GOT AWAY?!” Someone was obviously very angry as he hit the table. “TELL ME!!!!”

“Sir, I am utterly sorry but –“

The butler was silenced by Mr. Do who smashed all the things on the table onto the floor. He cringed.

“I don’t care what you are going to say right now! Looking after my son is YOUR responsibility.  Now he had got away and that means you are not responsible enough! And I don’t want irresponsible butlers!”

“But Mr. Do…” The butler’s voice trembled. He hated it when Mr. Do was in a rampage.

“Since it’s your fault, you better find him as soon as you can. I’m tolerating you because you have worked for me for years. But, if you failed to get him back here-“Mr. Do had a sinister smile on.”-consider yourself fired. Get out now!”

The butler sighed as he got out from the room. He knew that Mr. Do was serious about it this time.

He must find D.O.

“I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT I AM STANDING RIGHT HERE WITH YOU RIGHT NOW!”

“Guess what? I CANNOT BELIEVE IT EITHER!”Kai yelled.

“WHY DID YOU EVEN CARE ABOUT THAT STUPID CHICKEN?! IF YOU DIDN’T, WE PROBABLY WON’T BE HERE RIGHT NOW!”

“NO ONE DARES TALK ABOUT MY CHICKEN!”

“I DON’T CARE ABOUT YOUR STUPID CHICKEN! SHUT UP BEFORE I USE MY FIST AGAIN!” D.O shouted without knowing people were staring at them.

Kai saw it and frowned. “Hey, you better stop it right now. People are looking.’ Kai whispered.

D.O who read the situation immediately silenced.

----A few hours ago----

“WHAT?!” D.O shouted when Kris told him that he was going grocery shopping with Kai.

“Yes, I know you don’t like it but apparently Kai doesn’t want to be alone and I will definitely not let the bastards who broke the window and smashed the flower pots in the yard to go because I am afraid they will break the whole supermarket down.” Kris said as he sighed

“Ok, I understand.” D.O said and sighed too.

“Kai, go and get ready now. You are leaving with D.O in an hour.”

“WHAT?! BUT KRIS HYUNG…”

“Darn that bastard.’ D.O muttered under his breath while jabbing the egg on his plate with a fork.

“Hey, be careful! The plate is going to brea…” Just before Sehun could finish his sentence, a cracking sound is heard.

Everyone gasped at him.

“Omygosh I am so sorry.”  D.O said while looking up with helpless eyes

“Nevermind, we have tons of it in the cabinet. But it is really interesting that you can broke a plate using just a fork. Do you do martial arts of some sort?’ Suho asked a smile on his face.

“No, I have never done martial arts or judo or anything else before.” D.O said.” But I don’t know why I am like this though. I think I came by my strength naturally. The alarm clock in my house had been smashed a few times before unintentionally,” D.O said comfortably. To him, Suho was the most comfortable one the talk with compared to Kris.

“Really? Wow, it is interesting! I have never encountered anything like this before! By the way, last night I didn’t get to do this. Hi, I am Suho. Nice to meet you!”  Suho said, handing out his hand to D.O

D.O replied by shaking his hand.

“If you don’t mind I am quite curious about some things… May I ask something?”

“Sure, go ahead.”

“Ok, the things that made me really curious are that you are all ghosts right? But why can I touch you? And why do you guys live like normal people do? And why is this place so… clean? Not like what I seen from the outside?”

“And… there was something different about you guys today,” D.O added. “But I don’t know what that is.”

“Something different?Ah, that’s because we are currently in the human form.”

“Human form? But… But how? I thought…”

“Yes, we are all ghosts but like Kris had told you, we are not normal ghosts right? But he didn’t tell you that we can change into human forms once in a while and live like normal people do. Besides that, we have supernatural powers when we are in human forms which I will explain to you later on. And I am also quite shocked that you can touch us when we are in ghost forms, but I think maybe you can touch one because we have never tried it before so we aren’t quite sure about that. As for the last question, our castle is always clean. What exactly did you see from the outside?”

“When I walked in last night… Nevermind, thanks for the answers!”D.O stood up and went over to clean his plate.

“Sure, no problem!”

 

----A few hours later----

“Hey, are you even looking at the list?” D.O asked and frowned when he didn’t get any response. Bewildered he turned around and saw Kai in the chicken section. “YAH, STOP WALKING TO THE CHICKEN SECTION!”

“Aiysh, can you just stop nagging? Do I need to stuff something into your mouth? A mask is not enough?!’ Kai remarked, pointing at the mask that D.O was wearing to prevent people from recognizing him.

“Don’t you dare,” D.O said, squinting his eyes at Kai.

After that they continued their shopping in silence. D.O continued to push the trolley that was overflowing with all kinds of stuff – but most of them were Kai’s chicken.

“Hey, it is already five thirty in the evening. We have been out the whole day .Let’s go home. Do you get all the things that we need?” D.O opened his mouth and suggested.

“Yeah, all checked,” Kai nodded as he looked over the list again.

“Great,” D.O said calmly.

Kai was surprised that D.O was actually talking to him. The thing that surprised him even more was that he not shouting nor screaming but actually TALKING to him for the first time ever since they met.

“Hey dude, I forgot to bring my wallet.” Kai whispered, expecting a smack on the head but there was nothing at all.

“Ah, nevermind. I brought my card.” D.O fished out his wallet and took out a card.

“Thanks for purchasing!” The cashier said with a smile plastered on her face as they walked out of the supermarket.

“Why are you so quiet all of a sudden? And whose card is that? Suho’s?” Kai was uncomfortable with the silence forming between them and spoke up.

“Hey hey hey, I had always been quiet until I met you, you bastard.  And that card is not Suho’s but mine.”

“Ok then..” Kai nodded.

It was the first time they were having a normal conversation after they had met inside the house.

Maybe talking to him isn’t that bad after all. Kai thought to himself.

“Want to grab some bubble tea?” D.O suggested suddenly.

“What?” Kai’s eyes rounded. He suspected that he had heard wrong. “Can you say it again?”

“You heard me,” D.O rolled his eyes. “And don’t worry, it’s on me.”

“Sehun will want one,” Kai mumbled.

“Let’s not care about him. I’m just buying for you. If you want one for him buy it yourself,” D.O replied.

“Alright alright.” Kai rolled his eyes.”We’ll not be getting bubble tea for Sehun. Is that okay now?”

“Good, let’s go now.”A smile formed on D.O’s face as they walked down the streets with loads of groceries in their hands, the sunset casting its rays on them.
