Chaeyoung woke up with a gasp. She was shaken to find herself inside a cell, cast amongst dirt. Her eyes felt heavy but other than that, she was fine. She remembered the blow she had taken to her stomach from the royal guard but there was no pain. She moved her hand to touch the surface of her belly, but there was nothing. No pain, no mark.
The moment’s peace didn’t last mere seconds. She turned worried as she realised she had been knocked out whilst her daughters were around. It was too dark in the cell to see much, but what caught her off-guard two figures in the dark.
One was bigger, while the other was frail looking and small, sitting limp at the corner. She recognised the figure, crawling madly into the corner.
“My baby.” Chaeyoung gasped, pulling an unconscious Mina into her arms. The girl soon stirred and woke up with a startled wheeze and semi-cough. “M-mummy?” She probed.
“Yes it’s me.” She kissed her daughter’s forehead fiercely. She cuddled her close, Mina doing the same. “Mummy.” She then cried softly onto Chaeyoung’s shoulder. “They took Yoon.”
Chaeyoung felt like she had been splashed with icy, cold water.

Mina shook her head stubbornly but Chaeyoung whispered a soothing ‘Shhh’ into the child’s ear. Mina responded with humble silence. She stared up at her mother, studying the golden spheres that resembled hers identically.
“Where are we mummy?”
Chaeyoung held Mina close, assessing the cell’s wrecked interior. The place was filled with nothing but dust, dirt, thin cobwebs and small pebbles. This cell was similar to one she had been held in last time. Chaeyoung didn’t need to think at all to know where she and her daughter were.
They were in the one of many royal palaces’ prison cells.
Sehun’s prison cell.
“We’re at the Royal Palace.” Chaeyoung croaked in a mere mumble.

“Did you choose the 5 already?” Kai curiously asked as he helped Sehun tie a gold cape at his shoulders.
Sehun shrugged but answered, “Yeah.” His voice sounded void of emotions.
Kai sighed, tightening the knot of the cape and assessing Sehun in his royal uniform. “You can do this.” Kai gave a small smile, trying to cheer Sehun up. Like usual, Sehun remained stoic. “Let’s get this over and done with.”
Today was the day where Sehun would select 5 worthy women and from there, pick 1 to be his future Queen. Every time he would think
